Hello,I would like to read my DRM protected PDF not with ADE reader, but with an external PDF reader. When I try to open my PDF I am asked to enter an UNLOCK password (see screenshot). I do not want to DeDRM, I just want to read my PDF with a non ADE.I tried the password of my Adobe login, but with no success. Do I have to enter a certain combination of Adobe-ID/password? Any idea?Thank you in advance

I have had a copy of ADE on a PC authorized with my Adobe ID for quite a while. However, that PC recently failed and had to be replaced. I installed ADE on the new PC but can't authorize it - the message is that is has been used on too many devices. Well, that is currently not true as, if it was in fact used on any devices, most are all now gone leaving just the replacement PC and one Sony eReader. I need to authorize the replacement PC to access the many ebooks I have on the eReader. What do I do?

Can i synch highlight, Notes and bookmarks across devices?!?I read a book on my Ipad/Computer and make hightlights, notes and bookmarks on one device... can they synch to the other devices?It does not work right now (using latest edition of the program and Adobe ID)

hi, when i'm trying to install the latest version of digital editions screen comes up that's asking me to accept the terms and conditions for some antivirus program, but the screen is bugged. I can't check f the box and click on agree, it just gets stuck. This is the screen that i get. how do I solve this?

Hello,Support chat were unable to assist and asked me to post here.We have recently re-imaged out workstations and re-installed Digital Editions 4.5.  When we try to authorise the computer we get the E_ACT_TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONS error message, but we can't un-authorise as those workstations have been re-imaged.  Online help requests that we contact Adobe to reset the Adobe ID, but contacting Adobe takes you to online chat and online chat says "I will request you to visit Forums.Adobe.com because there is no support over here for this particular issue.". I'm therefore posting on this forum...Also you appear to have to authorise for every user on a workstation rather than the whole PC, is this correct?Anybody able to help?

Hi all,I posted this message originally in InDesign EPUBRe: InDesign CC, EPUB 3 and Typekit In summary, when I export a book from InDesign to EPUB 2.0.1, it's displaying perfectly in ADE and iBooks on iPad. When I export to EPUB 3, the font is not displaying, and it's reverting to a generic serif in both formats. Typekit support has looked at my file and generated an EPUB 3 which is displaying fine for me in iBooks but not in Digital Editions.I have "Include Embeddable Fonts" checked.Typekit can't replicate the problem so I'm coming here to see if anyone else has had this problem.Thank you,Ruth

Does anybody know how to solve this problem? I try to get ebooks from my library and this is what I get instead of the book.The computer time is analog to my ebook and I inactivated my Avast antivirus programm to download the books.kind regardsAnna

Hallo, ich habe seit gestern folgende Fehlermeldung beim Laden von Büchern auf meinen E-Book Reader (Tolino) aus der onleihe: E_ADEPT_DOCUMENT_TYPE_UNKNOWN. Habe bereits überprüft ob ich die richtige ID hinterlegt habe. Das ist alles korrekt. Habe dies auch bei verschiedenen Büchern probiert. Immer die gleiche Fehlermeldung. Kann mir jemand helfen? I recently purchased an ebook from Google and would like to transfer it to my ebook reader. To do so, I have installed Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) and downloaded the ebook. When I am trying to open the downloaded file ADE asks my to authorize my computer, asking for vendor, vendor ID & password. I tried with: "vendor: google" and my adobe account ID & pw but it did not work. Please help me with this computer authorization. What ID & pw I am supposed to use? Thnx F. B.

Nook updated the software on my Simple Touch e-reader.  After the update, ADE required I reverify, and I did.  However, now when I try and open a book on my Nook, I receive the following message:  "Error Dianog User Not Activated."  I've tried reloading my books onto the Nook, but that does not resolve the problem.Any help with this issue would be appreciated.

At present I have abandoned ADE as I cannot load books from any source onto my computer using it.Back in the spring I had to create a new Adobe ID as the email I was using was insecure. Everything seemed to be OK as long as I used ADE 3.Along comes August and I am setting up my new Macbook, I try to load books onto it and get the message that "another user is already using this resource"It seems that along with confusing Adobe with my new ID, trying to set up a new computer using new Adobe ID had totally flummoxed the poor software.I now just load books onto my KOBO from their site, or directly from my local library, which is not ideal or as flexible. I am wondering when someone at Adobe willget the idea that it perhaps it is time to write software for DRM that works...or maybe its just me???Anyway, does anyone have any idea how I might be able to resolve this issue???All the best,Stephen

En el escritorio de otro usuario sí funciona.Decir que lo uso para los libros de la biblioteca pública,y no consigo descargarlos  ni con el ID de adobe, ni con el de Odilo, ni autorizandolo sin ID.Uso W10. y esto es lo que veo Gracias un saludo.

When i downloaded ADE and opened a file i selected to authorize it without an ID but i want to switch this option to Authorization WITH an account ID so that i can access and transfer to other computer and devices. I can't find where to change this option and need too. Where can i change it and make it to authorization with my ID account ?

Hi. I just purchased 3 books from Saxo.com. I used Adobe Digital editions for access. I registred all the books on my ID when I downloaded it to my laptop but apparently my laptop wasn't authorized with my ID so it automatically created a "guest id". The problem is now that the books are not registered on my ADE ID but on the guest ID and are locked to my laptop, so I can't use my books on my homecomputer, mobilephone, tablets and so on, which I really need. Somehow I need to get my books registred on my ADE ID instead of this "guest ID".  I hope you can help me solve this problem. Best regards Alexander

First - I'm not a computer genius so please be gentle in your replies (I googled most of the wordings and solutions I'm tried). I downloaded a library book onto my laptop - Windows 10.  The file folder I saved it in is My Digital Editions which is somehow connected to Acrobat Reader.  Reader will no longer open .ascm files so I downloaded Adobe Digital Editions.  I tried to change the default settings for .ascm files to ADE but it isn't listed as an option in the drop-down menu even though I have it installed.  Now, instead of clicking on the download to open the book, I have to move the download into ADE to open it.  Yes only one extra step but there should be a way to fix this. Correct? I would appreciate any insights anyone might provide. Thanks.

I have downloaded the trial version of Acrobat PRO DC installer and the message "Acrobat installer encountered an unexpected failure." appears and it will not install Acrobat.I have downloaded the Acrobat IT Tools Cleaner, which removed all traces of existing Acrobat software. Performed a reboot and reran the installer. It still comes up with the same message.How do I overcome this failure?

Hello, I am Guglielmo Caccamo, and I am italian.Years ago, I have bought an ebook by an Italian editor and I have read it with Adobe Digital Editions, with an account that now it does not exist.In fact, on 20 August 2017, by chat, I have requested the deletion of this my Adobe ID account because I have others accounts Adobe ID.And the ebook, as I have just sayed, was associated to the account Adobe that now does not exist.The problem is that I want to read this ebook with another my Adobe ID account, with Adobe Digital Editions.So, I have re-downloaded the ebook from my personal page of the editor, but when I try to open it with Adobe Digital Editions, that is associated with my Adobe ID account (not with the account that has been deleted), appears the message:E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER .But the " another user " has been deleted and now it does not exist !So, why the ebook is still associated with the old deleted Adobe ID account ?Why is not possible to re-associate the eb

It has been very difficult changing pages in adobe digital editions and it's very discouraging. Pages can only be changed by scrolling either using the touch pad or a mouse and it's very slow at that. Doesn't respond to touching the screen to change pages. Is there anything that can be done to change this?
