Hi, I am using a Kobo eReader Edition 2. I am having trouble trying to un authorise a number of Adobe Digital Licences. I have gone over the 6 licence limit and I cannot download any books through Overdrive. I keep getting the message COPY NOT ALLOWED and also E_ACT_TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONS. How do I reset Adobe Digital Editions 4:5 back to 2 licences (one for my computer and one for the eReader) so I can download books from my library via Overdrive onto my Kobo eReader
I believe it has been asked for many times online, but i can't found a solution online.. and contacted Adobe Help Chat.. as per usual like others, been directed to this forum to post my question..It looks like (from my reading online).. when I first purchased the ebook (epub) from Google Playstore, and downloaded as epub, it directly opened in Adobe Digital Edition application (frankly, I never know it exists this application)... It opened ebook, b'cos I haven't sign in an Adobe account to authorize desktop, it assigned an unique ID to that book(that is my understanding from online search)... Recently, my company has upgraded my desktop to a faster PC, b'cos that unique ID only exits in old PC (which I have no idea where is it now)... I can not open all my ebook anymore..I just want to know how to reset it... I tried to download my book from Google Playbook again, but won't open up, with above error msg..any idea how to fix it?Why ADE can not just force any new users to sign in pr
Keeps having the following error reported when trying to authorize my PC with Adobe Digital Editions: Error on the activation server". My Adobe ID and password are correct. Anyone know what to do? this has been going on for days.
Hi All,When is a new version coming out which works!?This really is the most incompetent piece of software I think I have ever come across ...Win10 install - crashes every time on startupWin7 install - crash the sameWinXP install - crash the sameMacOS X install - works - but won't download anythingSo I go to the updates page - it says Version 4.5.4 on the screen, but says it's installing version 4.5.5 ...I think configuration control is broken too ... i found a version for the Mac (with a 2017 date) called v2.5, which sort of works ...Looking at the huge number of difficulties users are having. I think it's time Adobe 'insourced' the programming back to the USA ... the team in India have proved they are not competent ...I feel so sorry for the content producers, to have their reputations dragged down by association with Adobe.Ciao, P
I bought a new kobo aura and under my accounts page, it says I am not authorized with digital editions after signing in with my kobo account.I do have an authorized adobe ID. My library books will not open because of this.I have tried all the trouble shooting on kobo end, like factory reset, downloading adobe 3.0, deleting all downloads and redownloading etc.Nothing has worked. I uninstalled both ADE & re-installed them... and then tried again to view book in ADE and this is the message I get:Unable to downloadError getting License. License Server Communication Problem:E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY_OR_PKCS12and this is from books bought from Kobo or borrowed from libraries.Does anyone have a solution to this?
I have not used digital editions for a while. I used it successfully with Windows 7. Now I am on Widows 10 and it will not launch. Have uninstalled and re-installed. Still no luck. I get no error message, the cursor goes to the circle as if it is trying to open then nothing happens and the machine operates as normal: it does not lock up etc. I have a lot of professional tests that I can only open with digital editions and now I cannot open digital editions. Tried opening as administrator: still no luck. Help!

So I got a new PC.The old PC will get dismissed. Now I need to move Adobe Digital Editions to the new PC together with the books.Installation of Adobe Digital Edition is no problem. Today I registered also with Adobe Digital Editions. But now I need to move the books also. Our helpdesk asked me to disinstall the licences of the book on the old PC and install after the books on the new PC.But they do not know how to achieve this.Could you pls tell us, how we can disinstall the licences of the books on the old PC and reinstall the licences on the new PC.I imagine that disinstalling the licences I will get a new licence for every book. I have been having a very similar issue to what I have been reading on these forums since 2013. I am a member of my public library, where I borrow legitimate ebooks to read on my Kobo. ADE seems to have cornered the market for transferring ebooks to Kobos and now they refuse to stand behind their product but refusing to provide help via online chat. I was told I could only receive help on the community pages but the threads I have read do not have any responses from Adobe technical support. They are all people trying to help people but I have yet to find a long-term solution to the issue. The issue is that when you double-click the acsm file, it does open in ADE and I can read it there. I then drag and drop from Borrowed to my Kobo reader, but that's where the problems start. After undocking my Kobo and waiting for downloads to complete, I cannot open the ebook in my Kobo. I get an error saying that it's not authorized. I have tried what people have suggested, resetting my Kobo, de-auth
My library carries ePUB and eHOOPLA files for books. I can easily borrow the ePUB files using ADE to my computer and then transfer to my device (Kobo Aura ONE). I cannot download the eHOOPLA files using ADE.Will this capability be available soon?Kobo support suggested I contact Adobe. Thanks for your help.Keith

Hi - Can anyone help me with the above error. What can I do to overcome this (If at all possible) ? Since it is not possible to actually contact Adobe themselves, is there anyone else who advise me ? Thanks in advance. Maggie

I have different documents in the Adobe Digital Editions at different computers and tablets. How could I synchronize them so that I have the same documents on all machines? Could I synchronize also the bookmarks and highlightings? All computers and tablets have the same authorization. Best, Gregor S.
Dear Somebody,I purchased some ebooks and managed to download them on my PC with digital editions. Followed all the steps and that works OK.But I don't manage to get them accessible on my reader (type Sony PRS-T1).Maybe the reader needs to be authorized as well, but nowhere the possibility for this to be found.Security is fine with me, but I want to be able to use items I have bought. So please advice.I assume Adobe has some responsibility here to make it work.Simon
I recently downloaded DE and did not register. On my books, there is an orange strip that reads "53 days" and gets lower every day. will this delete my books after I am done?
I am having trouble downloading a book to my account. I have it on my iPad but when I download it to my MacBook Pro is says this " Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_ACT_NOT_READY" How do I fix this so I can have the book on my laptop as well.
I can download books from the library and open them on my PC, but I can not transfer them to my NOOK. The NOOK does not open in the Adobe Digital Editions and I can not seem to do anything about it. So frustrated!
I have just bought an ebook which required me to download Adobe Digital Editions. I can open the book fine on my computer in digital editions (I work on a Mac). I am however not able to figure out how to transfer it to, and thus read it on, my IPad. Suggestions would be much appreciated,Marianne
I can't seem to download an e-book from Digital Edition to my Nook reader. I was on the phone with Barnes and Noble about the problem and they say it is because my Adobe account is 'maxed out'. How do I correct this problem?
