Digital Editions

I haven't been able to use Adobe Digital Editions for some time. I receive "error! Check activation" every time I  download a book from OverDrive. My computer is authorized. Directions are to erase the authorization and authorize again. I usually first get an error that states " can't do that right now try again later" I immediately try again and it doesn't take my password. This is the same password I use with my Adobe account. I have Adobe CC. Don't know where to go from here. Should I reset my Adobe password?

I get the following message when I try to open a book on my Kobo reader that I have downloaded from the library via Digital Editions:  "The content you are trying to view is locked!  Please use your Adobe ID to authorize your reader with the Kobo Desktop Application or Adobe Digital Editions."I can find a way to authorize my computer with Adobe Editions, and had already done that, but can find to way to authorize the reader!

Hi,I got a new computer and reinstalled Digital Editions, but I can't access my original account anymore (probably it was linked to an old email). Results: all my books are gone. How do I get them back? Please help me restoring my old books, as I need them for work.Thank you

Whenever I try to use my search function it does not work. I place the work I am interested in searching for in the toolbar, hit enter and nothing happens. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I authorized my computer with the incorrect Adobe ID, but now I cannot authorize my computer with the correct Adobe ID. It will not let me deauthorize the wrong account nor allow me to authorize the correct account.

Help I am trying to view my book and when I log in now I receive this message: Limit of number of machines allowed per ID reached. What and who do can help me?

Hello,I borrowed two books from my library and downloaded them into ADE. I authorized my computer with my account, I authorized my Kobo with the account. I added the books to my e-reader and ejected it. When I try to open the books it told me that it wasn't authorized to open them. I returned the books and logged out of all the accounts. I started fresh making sure everything was lined up in my other account. Proceeded as before. Now it is saying "You ereader is not authorized to open the book" "you need to re-import the book". But I did already! This has been over an hour long process and I am getting angry, and no one is offering any help from any company.

I use it for library loans and it was working fine, then it wouldn't open lately. I didn't change anything on my pc.I tried to install the newest version and it still won't open. tried to open as admin-nothing... HELP?????

I downloaded ADE 4.5.5. I can read the sample books from ADE without any problems. But...I have twice now had e-pubs sent to me. I added them to my library and the book covers show up along with all the other useful information. Nothing happens, though, when I click on the books. Instead, I get the message "ADE not responding" and the little circle just cycles round and round non-stop. The books never open. If I click on ADE, a window pops up and asks me if I want to quit the application. I'm using Windows 10.

I work at the Library of the University of Manchester, book purchasing dept. We are testing logging on to multiple platforms to read eBooks. I'm using an iphone and an ipad to test this. I've got EBSCO eBooks, Adobe Digital Editions, BlueFire Reader and VLeBooks apps all downloaded on each. I have to authorise them on each device but I only have so many authorisations I can do. I'm trying to replicate it as a student to give us a better understanding about what they go through. So if there is a hitch I have to investigate why there is one The only one I can't authorise is EBSCO eBooks as it says I have too many authorisations. Please can someone help as I thought it was a simple question for the chat support but they were useless and they sent me here. And I've no idea where to post this question and I'm pretty frustrated.

I've paid for a book and can see it in the ADE (v 4.5.5) library but every time I go to copy it onto my Kobo the system seems to crash or at least not respond. Then I see that the authorisation for the kobo is no longer there. I'm new to KOBO and ADE. I have managed to copy over books that were free with no problem. I have windows 10.  All help welcome, thank you

I am trying to open an ACS DRM protected file on my iPad using ADE. it gives me an error saying "Connection Error Detected". I have attached the image. The internet connection is in place. ADE is authorised with Adobe ID. I can use the same file in "Bluefire" and "Aldiko" without any issue. Please help

I have been having problems with adobe digital editions. When I download a library book using overdrive to laptop I get prompt to open or save. When select save digital editions does not open, instead a blank internet page opens. I have been having difficulty with my nook color giving error message that book had been returned and was not on file when I just downloaded the book . I have tried deleting and reinstalling ADE and removing and replacing authorization. If all fails I will replace with a kindle if they do not use ADE.

Suddenly my ADE stopped  working  – Windows 10 Tries to troubleshoot but message goes away almost immediatelyDownloaded the Windows version and reinstalled  – but you have the same problem.  ADEP worked earlier this afternoon.Desktop with Windows 10 version 1703.Try  downloading and reinstalling  again? Anything I should delete first?

Please help.  I have downloaded Adobe (as suggested) and a library book, but I keep being told "Adobe Reader could not open 'URLLink (9).acsm' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)".  So I can not access the book I have borrowed to read.  WHY??

I bought an ebook from Google yesterday. I have downloaded it to my laptop and tried to transfer it to the ADE Library and I am getting the following error:E_adept_document_type_unknownI contacted Google and they have stated that there is no problem with the ebook and that the issue is with ADE.Can anyone help me?

Has anyone tried writing on an eBook with a stylus or electronic pen/pencil?

On my mac, running current OS X, i cannot download epubs to my ADE, but I CAN open them directly frommy hard drive and read them. Why can I not download them to the ADE. I download them, go to my downloadsand double click the downloaded version. They do not go into the ADE. Why?

I want to get a kobo reader or whatever, really. Is there a list of supported devices or can i authorize just any e-reader?

Every time I try to download a book as an EPUB from my library’s overdrive website the program Adobe Digital Editions pops up on my computer, just like it should, but instead of loading the book a small window with the words Error! Check Activation. appears instead. It never used to do that and when it started eventually I just uninstalled the version of ADE 2.0 that I was using and reinstalled a more recent version ADE 4.5. The recent version is nice but I’m still having the same issue so I can still not download e-books to my nook like I used to before. Please help me fix it or at least give me some guidance!

Hey, guys...  I purchased from Kobo a book that is Epub3 (DRM-free) and it will not download to my ADE library.  I have worked with Kobo's customer service for several days and it just won't download.  What to do ?  Thanks !!

I recently bougt a Kobo Aura ed.2 and still haven´t got it to work, I am now starting to give up after two days of troubleshooting, downloading older versions of ADE and more...Both my computer and Kobo are authorized with my Adobe account and everything seems to be in order.BUT, when transfering ebook from library or anyother place I get this message:"Connection Error DetectedDigital editions could not connect to the fulfillment server.Please make sure you are connected to the internet."What to do, can anyone please help me?//Joakim

I bought rights and the escript for a play from Playscripts.com and the escript won't print. I need the scripts in the next few hours.
