Digital Editions

How/where do I submit my question?  I submitted one earlier but it was rejected?  Not sure why...

I have a new computer.  I installed digital editions and authorized the computer. I borrowed a library book and cannot transfer it into my Nook e-reader.  I think I probably have to make the app recognize the Nook, but I don't know how..  Can anyone help me?

After reformatting my PC and trying to add the .ASCM files I have obtained through google play. However when I try to add them I get an error popup that says"E_GOOGLE_DEVICE_LIMIT_REACHED". I understand there is a device limit. But It is the same device with a new Windows 10 installation, Is there anything I can do?

I need help to reset my Activation Count. But I can't reach the chat with a support tech. Please help me someone. In my aTolino eReader the Authorization fail comes up suddenly. I have de-authorized my computer, but still the error comes up. I want to zero the count./Mattias Nowenwik

Hi @LL20_2,years ago I bought a lot of ebooks that are secured with my Adobe ID. The eMail account is no longer active and also I don't remember my password.My account was something like k.bestmann@foni.net or something like this. I don't remember my detailed eMail account and also my password.The eMail account is no longer active and so I can't receive an eMail.AMENDMENT: Just now I found an old eMail - my Adobe ID can be karin-bestmann@foni.net - but I don't still have this eMail account active to receive an eMail for change passwordWhich chance I have to reactivate my ebooks???thanks forwards.

I have ended up with 2 accounts with Adobe. I have been through the Customer Care process as instructed on the website but they referred me to the forum.  I originally had a Sony eReader and then bought a KOBO eReader. I was having problems getting books to download from the Kobo site and I was told to reinitialise my ereader and I somehow ended up with 2 accounts under 2 different email addresses. My fault as I probably put my other email details in not realising it was a problem. However I now have ebooks which are DRM protected under different accounts. Is there anyway to get the DRM rights all put on one account. It has really only caused problems when I get a new device and it tells me I cannot open certain books as they have a different user ID. Spent a lot of time today trying to get my new Windows tablet to access all my books. Thanks

Hello,A few hours ago I purchased an e-book. I was confused about what I was supposed to do to open it and opened it without using my adobe ID. So apparently now I can only use it on this computer and if I reinstall the operating system I won't be allowed to read my book again. I was actually planning on reinstalling my operating system soon, so is there anyway I can unregister this book from this PC and start the process again, linking it to my adobe ID and be allowed to have multiple copies over multiple devices? It was an honest mistake please help.!

I have been able to successfully download Digital Edition on my MacBook Pro and on my iPad.  Why am I receiving the message"Digital editions could not connect to the activation server. Please make sure you are connected to the Internet"? I had to be on the internet to download the app to the device, so why is this happening.  I am using the same email (Adobe ID) and password that I've used on my MacBook Pro on my iPAd.  Has anyone else had this issue? If so, how did you resolve. If not, how do you resolve this issue.

Ik heb mijn computer en mijn KOBO aura h20 geautoriseerd, e-boeken uitgekozen uit de bieb, gedownload en ik krijg ze niet te zien op mijn e-reader. Heel veel mensen hebben hetzelfde probleem. Kan niemand ons helpen?

When trying to download a book to my cloud library for my kobo, I get this message: E_Act_Not_Ready.  Also telling me that I don't have the most up to date version (which I do-downloaded yesterday!).  It then tells me to relog in with my adobe password and try again...no luck:-(  Has anyone else come across this problem and know the resolution?  Thanks in advance!

I've created an Adobe ID on my home computer, in order to be able to download e-books from the library and install them on my e-reader. Now, my computer broke down, so I have to use my laptop. It seems that Adobe doesn't allow me to use my Adobe ID on another computer. How can this be solved?

Hello, since about 4-5 weeks all our customers that bought Tolino tablets have gotten the same error (An error occurred while loading your file. The file is presumbly damaged and cannot be opened. . Please contact customer service ) when trying to download any Adobe DRM-protected content. I've even tried and set one up myself with the same error as outcome. The Swedish libraries get the books from a place called Axiell media but they've done their own research and came to the conclusion it's not a Sweden specific problem since it's not possible to get books from other countries either. They clame it's a Tolino-thing and Tolino says they have no knowledge and our distributor thinks it's a Adobe-problem so hence I'm contacting you.What doesn't work:Opening DRM-protected books from the internet directly into the tablet. Opening DRM-protected books that you copied from the computer and CAN open and read on that.What does work:Synching to the Adobe serverOpening any book that DOESN'T have D

Hola!Compré un libro en google play. Al pasar el libro en formato "*.acsm" a Adobe Digital Editions para copiarlo a un ebook, me sale ese error: "E_ADEPT_DOCUMENT_TYPE_UNKNOWN" y no me deja seguir. When trying to transfer ebooks from ADE to Nook, "no permission to copy file" appears.

When I try and download files about 2 times in 3 the download hangs. When I eventually get bored and kill adobe and bring it back up it thinks the book is there but every time I try and open it it hangs.Removing the entire My Digital Editions directory, uninstalling and reinstalling does not solve the problem.Removing the book from within My Digital Editions doesn't solve the problem.Does anybody know where My Digital Editions keeps information as to what it has downloaded (other than in the My Digital Editions directory and sub directories)?

When downloading ebook from library, book goes to download but when I click & drag to my Kobo device I get a message: Copy not allowed. No permission to copy the book.

Ich habe ADE 4.5.4 neu heruntergeladen, seither öffnet sich beim Download von der Onleihe jedesmal das Installationsprogramm, aber das Buch wird nicht heruntergeladen. Ich habe bereits mehrfach versucht, ADE neu zu installieren, auch mit ausgeschalteter Firewall und Antivirusprogramm, aber es ändert sich nichts. Weiß jemand Rat?

I just purchased MS Surface Pro 4 and downloaded ADE onto it.  Connected Kobo to Surface but ADE does not list books that I have on my Kobo library.  Should it not recognized all of the books I have on my Kobo already or will it recognize and store only new books that I add after the initial download of ADE?Thanks, Carmen

Notified by library of a book available from my hold shelf. I followed the correct procedures to checkout and move the book to ADE. Open the book in ADE and can read and page it. Click on the book and drag it to my NOOK reader and receive a message that the book has been returned.If I select a book not on hold and move it via the same procedure, it opens on both ADE and my NOOK.I was able to download books from the HOLD shelf previously and read them on my NOOK.
