Digital Editions

How do I connect my Mac app with the one on my phone(android) so I can access my ebooks on both and be able to sync so I could see how long I have read instead of having to manually do that over and over again?

i coninually get the above error where it then reads to check my internet connectio. My internet connection is fine.  I've seen others posted the same question, but I don't see any answers to this question.  Please help!

I have been trying to download the latest version of Digital Editions and it isn't working at all so I downgraded to version 3.0 and it at least let me authorize the computer.  Now I'm getting  the above Connection Error Detected when I try to download a book from the library. The rest of it says Digital Editions could not connect to the fulfillment center. Please make sure that you are connected to the internet.  Well I am connected to the internet.  Anyone have any suggestions what to try??? I'm getting so frustrated with this Digital Editions stuff that I might take my sister's advice and return the Nook and buy a Kindle so that I don't have to use any other software to use as a go between to check out books from the library.

I am unable to read the books that I transfer to my kobo reader through ADE due to an authorization error. However, I can see that both my computer and my kobo reader are authorized under the same account (my personal account). I can confirm this by going to the 'Help' menu and seeing the computer's authorization, and clicking the 'Settings' option when my kobo is plugged in and viewing 'Device Authorization Information'. Does anyone know why I can't read the book on my kobo reader?

Hey there!I just downloaded Adobe Digital Editions and whenever I try to registrate my computer with the ID, it tells my that either my ID or password is wrong. I've already changed my password and am able to log in on the Adobe ID website, but the program still won't accept it. The strange thing is, on my laptop everything works perfectly (there I've downloaded the program a few years ago and it worked instantly).Has anyone an idea how to fix this?Thanks in advance.

I am at my wits end. I got a new e-mail address and changed my acount to the new address. I tried to change my computer authorization  e-mail to match.  It has my old e-mail address and password. I  tried to deauthorize my computer of my old e-mail address and put in my new email. The site will not accept my password on my old email even after I had it reset by ade tech support. I deleted the whole file off my computer and reinstalled ade again. It came up with my old email address again an again would not accept my password. My old email will not be viable after the end of the month.What do I do?.?

Hello,I recently purchased my first Kobo book online. I wished to sync it with my Sony e-reader, but was instructed to download the Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 along with the Reader for Mac.When I try to view the book in the Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 I get a message:Activation Server error - code E_ADEPT_INTERNAL , try again.Then when I open the reader for MAC I get these messages: The content is protected by digital rights management (DRM). Do you want to continue for authorization to open the content? Having trouble downloading and installing my books i buy from takealot store.evertime i click download thes digital reader opens up and gives me an error saying could not connect to fulfillment server and that i should connect to the internet...obviously i am connected to the internet. show how can i reslove this. While trying to open downloaded library ebooks, I get the "Error! Check Activation" box.I can't authorize computer because the option is greyed out.Please help

I get a message that says: Error getting License. Server Communication Error. E_license already fulfilled by another user.What can I do to download. The Library tells me the book is ready for me and is loaned out to me.

Had to start using this version, as previous (2.0) stopped working for me. Finally have things downloading properly, but went to read EPUB library book on desktop and can only access a portion of the first page of each chapter. I can't view an entire page at a time, and there's no scroll bar on right. Using arrows, scroll bar at bottom, or pg up/pg down buttons moves me to the previous or next chapter. How do I either change the format to show an entire page at a time or to scroll down to read the rest of a page?

HelloI'm sorry, if my english isn't very good, but i have a question and I saw that I have to ask here and normally I speak german.I downloaded the Adobe Digital Edition to read and download ebooks from the library. But if I want to delete, nothing happens. If I click on delete, they disappear, but next time I open the Adobe DE again, the ebooks are there again too. I deleted them on computer RAM and ROM and deleted them at Adobe too.Where can I delete them definitely?Thanks for your help!

I have used ADE to transfer library books to my kobo for years but ADE went through a phase of constantly freezing when I tried to move a book over to my kobo. I uninstalled it and now I'm trying to reinstall it but it is not working. I have an icon on my desktop and can access books in my account but it does not allow me to borrow library books. It keeps asking me to allow the program to make changes on my computer and constantly goes through the installation process. The 'chat' experts have checked my ID/activation? and it's all OK. Over the past few months I have trawled through many forum posts and found lots people with the same problem as me but no solutions yet. I have used explorer and chrome, uninstalled my security, uninstalled the program etc.

It has a slow startup, but is tolerable.  

I wanted to know how can I download Adobe digital editions for windows 10 on my PC so I can open my google play book.  Thank you.

I have downloaded a .mobi file of a book.  Adobe Digital Editions will not accept it into the library.  Anyone have a solution to this problen, I will appreciate your help.

When I try to download a library book into my ADE, I get this message- 10 Error  Error#2038.  Does anyone know what that means and what can be done to fix it?

Hello, Adobe!When will you release an API for third-party developers to access the content network? This is a particular problem with the under-developed and completely un-supported Digital Editions, but I imaging it's problematic for the other programs as well.

I really hope somebody can help! I've been struggling with this issue for months now, and I finally end up here asking for help...Problem: I have a Linux system (Suse) and I'm very happy with it, except for one thing: ADE quit working on Linux (under Wine). Well, version 1.7 worked just fine but Adobe decided that it should be updated, so now every time I start ADE, it says it has an update and asks if I want to update, or if I want to do this later and thus for now quit the application.Downloading and installing a newer version is, unfortunately, not possible since more recent versions are not working under Wine! At least, this is my experience and also what I read online everywhere. I tried versions 2 & 3 & 4, none is working. This is what I get to see: "Adobe Digital Editions (version) requires Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 / 4.0 (depending on version) Service Pack 1. Please install and try again." Of course, I can't download a service pack for Windows on my Linux system.So,

Hey guys,I got some files from my library as acsm files. How can I open them with a normal Linux system? Looks like Adobe supports only Windows and MacOS officially. Are there any solutions or even hacks (an online service or a "hacker tool" or so converting these files would be also ok, the only solution not being ok is "Get a Windows").Regards,The Linux Guy

I tried using digital editions 4 but it wanted to open it in acrobat reader so I uninstalled acrobat reader no joy. so I uninstalled digit editions 4 and tried 3 but it is still not working . I am using windows 10. Can someone help me please

In the past i was able to use dictation on my computer and then it made me install something and the dictation stopped working. HELP
