Digital Editions

Whenever I try to open a book from Overdrive on my Kobo Aura H2O, it says I'm not authorized. It was working a few weeks ago, and I can read them on my Mac with the same ID. I've tried un-authorizingg and re-authorizing on both my Mac and my Kobo. It doesn't work. t'm using version 4.5.

Hi,  Today I tried launching my Adobe Digital Edition 4.5.12 and it doesn't show up on the desktop environment, only the thumbnail on the taskbar. Yesterday it was working just fine, and it's the first time this has happened to me.  I've read the forums and tried the recommended fixes, such as renaming the Digital Editions folder to (Old), but nothing works. I then downloaded version 3.0, and it worked just fine.  I'm currently using an HP Probook running Windows 11 with the following specs: - HP Probook 450 G7, i7-10510U CPU, 16GB RAM- Windows 11 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 22621) I don't mind using the older version, but of course, I'd prefer to use the latest one. Hope a fix can be implemented. 

Just got a used Kobo Glo HD off marketplace, all looks well. Except when I plug it into my macbook through a dock (because Macbooks don't have USB ports), the kobo detects that a computer is connected and charging, but the Mac nor ADE detects a kobo connected. I've factory reset the kobo, tried a different cable, tried a different port on the dock, software update the mac and ADE to the latest edition, reset the USB port, tried a different computer, and completely out of ideas at this point! Any one else have this issue?

I have bought a book from a vendor, that is not listed in the option for autorization. Therefore i did not try to autorize the book with my adobe account, and instead autorized it without ID, only to descover later that this locked it to the device. I asked for help to try and circumvent this issue, telling the support employee that I misunderstood what it meant when authorizing without ID, believing that i simply would not have it locked to a single account, but rather have access from multible. The employee told me that erasing my authorization would fix the issue. Instead this locked me out of the book, since it is licenced to a different "unknown" account. Only afterwards did employee decide to redirect me to the Autorization help page, where it became clear that i had made a big mistake in Authorizing without ID, and now said employee had told me that erasing my only access would help, causing me to lose all access to the book.  I have the licens number for the unknown a

Hi , I bought the book in acms format I opened it in digital edition but it is in English I need to translate it to Polish. I would like to download it somehow or convert it to pdf but I see that in this program you probably can't do it? Please advise something because I need to download this book in pdf and then translate for myself using online translator.

Hello, I had a computer with Adobe digital editions on it.  The computer crashed and I am unable to de-authorize it. I downloaded ADE on my computer and authorized it with a different email address because I couldn't use the other email I used on the crashed computer.  Now I have discovered I am unable to read some of the books I previously had under the other ID.  I also just discovered this site.  Is there a way I put my ADE account under my previous ID.  I'm guessing I would need to de-authorize the current ID?  If I deauthorize the current ID will that do anything to my current content?  There has been no new content added to my new ID.  It is all the same content from my old ID.  I hope all of this makes sense.  Thank you!

Even with text size set to smallest, ADE IOS book is impossible to read due to text being too big. Any suggestions?

Does anyone know the latest Android version the Digital Edition App was made for or when it will be made available for download for Android Version 11?  The Adobe Chat representative did not know and told me to post in the Community. Really? Since Android is on Version 13, I thought it would be safe to buy a tablet with version 11, but nope. Update the app for your users Adobe!

How to solve an error E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY in Adobe Dgital Editions app on Android? 

Hi All I wonder if you could assist me - I have purchased an e-book that needs to be opened using Adobe Digital Editions, however I need the ability to be able to have the book read aloud. Is there anyway that this would be possible? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated

Whatever version of ADE I install (after having uninstalled any previous version), it keeps crashing as soon as I plug my Kobo Glo ereader in the Usb port. So that I cannot use ADE at all, since I use it to view my books and annotations from my Kobo... Versions tried : 4.5 - 4.0 - 2.01 - 1.7I am running Win 7 pro SP1, Intel i5 Ivy Bridge, 8GB RamAny idea ?Thank you

In the library of ADE no books, which are downloaded from public library,  are available. Even after reinstalling ADEapplication  on my PC, the problem remains. Authorization of my PC and KOBO eReader device are both succesful. In map Downloads of my PC showed several downloads as URLink (10).acsm   Unfortunately these downloads are not avaliable in the library of ADE.Also I experience errors with the coding (unicode UTF-8) which makes conversion possible to make proper reading possible.Please who can help to solve this error?

Hi,Recently my Kobo Glo stopped recognizing ebooks that I transfer from my Adobe Digital Editions on my PC. It tells me that ADE is not authorized. i checked my Adobe account and it looks fine. I followed instructions to re-authorize both ADE on my PC and my Kobo. Both devices now say they are authorized but when I transfer the books my Kobo still won't recognize them. I tried turning it off as well as doing the factory re-set and the situation didn't change.Can you help me solve this problem please?C.

I have installed ADE on a new computer. I have two books that I already successfully borrowed and put in my library. However, I just borrowed a book and when I click on the .acsm file it opens the library but nothing happens. No error message or anything - just nothing. Further, the other two books now do not appear in the library when they did just yesterday. I am stumped, any suggestions?

Is there anyone out there that can advise how to fix this.  I have previously downloaded an e-book to this program and I had no issues increasing the size of the font, This time it does not work.  I am starting to think all this technology is a waste of time and money.  Surely someone at Adobe can sort this out, isn't that their job? Anyway, if anyone has a solution to this problem, it would be greatly appreciated to hear from you.  Otherwise, I have just wasted more time and money on a book I cannot read.

Ich habe mir kürzlich zwei eBooks im PDF Format gekauft. Es stand beim Kauf mit dabei, dass ADE und eine Adobe ID benötigt wird.Habe ADE Vers. 4.5 von der Adobe-Website gedownloadet und eine ID erstellt. Der Computer ist authorisiert, jedoch stürzt ADE permanent ab. Ich kann außerdem nicht alle Seiten lesen. Einige sind einfach grau.Ich habe bereits mehrere Lösungsansätze probiert (Neuinstallation, Neuauthorisierung, andere ADE Version) und dennoch bleibt die Fehlfunktion bestehen. Wie lässt sich diese Fehlfunktion beheben?

Hello, I have authorized a book without an Adobe ID since I did not want to create an adobe login to access an ebook. I got access to the ebook but now I am unable to transfer the ebook into my cloud and access it from my phone. I have since learned that this is only possible if I have an Adobe ID and the app installed on various platforms to read the ebook. I have an Adobe ID, I have the Adobe digital editions 4.5 on my computer (PC) and the app on my phone, however, now I am unable to erase the authorization (CTRL+SHIFT+D is NOT working). Please help me to figure out how to erase the authorization so that I can reauthorize the ebook via my Adobe ID.Extremely frustrating, overly complicated and not user friendly - which is also reflected in the google play reviews of the app.Please help to not lose all credibility.
