Hello,  I cannot open books in my library and cannot open a new ebook I bought yesterday evening in Adobe, I get this message, in Dutch, the English message is visible in the subject:  "Communicatieprobleem met licentieserver:E_ACT_NOT_READY" How can this be solved? Many thx Jurjen

Hi, I have been trying for weeks on two different devices (Win11) to authorize Digital Editions. Everytime I get the error message:Digital Editions could not connect to activation server. Please make sure you are connected to the internet. I have read through every single post on the internet I can find and nothing seems to work. I cannot believe that this is still an issue with no fool proof work around and Adobe support is no help. I have tried in no particular order all the following-creating a new Adobe ID-modifying the registry, deleting the Adept key-turning firewall off-allowing ADE through the firewall-ADE versions 3.0, 4.0 and 4.5-mobile network through hotspot, wifi, and wired connection-computer time and date is correct-authorizing without an ID Please, I would be grateful for any solutions. 

Why would these features be off?

I am using an ebook for academic research and I really need to be able to Copy passages (which I will attribute properly) or, failing that, at least be able to Highlight them. The only thing Digital Editions will let me do is Bookmark a page. All the other options in the menu when I right-click are greyed out. Why are these other functions even listed if you can't use them?

The "highlight" right-click menu is grayed out. Even though I have used it in the book I'm reading now. I'm on Windows 10. See this image. 

I cannot authorize mij Kobo Libra 2. I always get an error

Hi there,Adobe digital Editions is telling me "Error getting license. License Server Communication Problem: E_STREAM_ERROR when I try to download an epub or pdf file that I have purchased from google play. I have previously downloaded these files with no problems. Adobe digital Editions a été installé sur un autre appareil. Il n’y a qu’une seule et unique application disponible afin de lire un fichier avec verrou DRM. Si ça plante comme c’est le cas ici, pas moyen de contourner Adobe Digital Editions afin de se dépanner avec une autre application de lecture.  Pour les formats avec Verrou DRM il n'y a pas autre chose que Adobe Digital Editions. C’est dommage. Je me pose une question « Est-ce que les librairies, les bibliothèques et autres fournisseurs pourraient proposer un autre moyen de DÉVERROUILLER un fichier avec verrou DRM? En définitive il semble que la réponse soit d’une complexité aussi « solide » que le verrou DRM.C’est clair tant et aussi longtemps qu’il n’y aura pas de solution de téléchargement et de lecture fiable autre que Adobe digital Editions (à moins que Adobe procède à une mise à niveau majeure) (ou rende disponible une autre application de lectur

Bonjour,J'ai acheté en 2021 un ebook au format pdf ne pouvant s'ouvrir qu'avec adobe digital edition.Entre temps, j'ai réinitialisé mon ordinateur. Aujourd'hui, je réinstalle ADE et essaie de réouvrir mon ebook. Impossible. ADE me dit que le fichier appartient déjà à un utilisateur (moi, il y a 2 ans). Mais comment retrouver l'ID associé pour pouvoir réouvrir mon fichier ?

Why is Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 making two copies of downloaded books and not letting me access borrowed books once copied to my e-reader?  Content locked message even though both computer and e-reader authorized.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled ADE many times, as well as cleared out the files from the Digital Editions folder on my PC - many times.  Now as soon as I launch ADE 4.5 it automatically puts two copies of the file in even though I haven't downloaded it from the library site again.  I'm at my wits end.

For some reason Adobe Digital Editions no longer opens on my computer as it used to – the icon is in the taskbar but will not open in maximum view. It will receive downloads from Overdrive but I can’t access them.What I have done:I first ran all my virus checks: Malware Bytes, Norton, Super anti-SpywareI've logged out and rebootedUninstalled & reinstalledWhen I download a book from overdrive pnce it opened in Adobe Digital editions yesterday but it told me i had to authorize it. When I click on authorization I get this message: Activation Server error: code: E_ADEPT_INTERNAL However if I go to authorizaton in the menu at top left [the one time it did open from overdrive and asked me to authorize my computer]  it says that my computer is authorized and gave me an authorization #.i use a kobo and need my computer to load the books. Help!

(I am a librarian attempting to help a patron.)ADE currently lists an Adobe account as having authorized ADE but provides an error message when attempting to load a file into ADE. When attempting to erase the authorization the password is not recognized and directs me to the Adobe website.When on the Adobe website I cannot log into the account as no account exists with that e-mail. But when I try to create an account with that e-mail it says an account already exists with that e-mail.At this point I cannot use ADE, re-authorize it, log in to the account, or create such an account, and do not know how to proceed.

Hi! I've just recently started using Adobe Digital Editions on my Macbook Air, and the installation has worked fine, I have the latest edition as well. I could also download the e-book I bought and read it, highlight, etc, without any problems. However, I had to force quit the program due to it being unresponsive, and when I started it again the book had completely disappeared from my library (it was the first time I quit the app on my computer). And ever since then, every time I close the app after reading the book and then open it up again, the book has disappeared. This is highly annoying, and prevents me from saving my work in the form of bookmarks, etc. What can I do to prevent this?! I have tried signing in and out, deleting and reinstalling, etc. But nothing has worked. Does anyone have any ideas? 

Hello, I have a book that reads fine on the build-in monitor of my M1 MAC (running latest Ventura release).However, if I want to read on my external 4K monitor, I can only see part of the pages and cannot scroll to read the remaining text of the pages. I tried several settings, including changing resolution (3840x2160, 2560x1440 or 1920x1080) and also tried changing text size etc. This is very annoying, as I now cannot use the large monitor for reading books.

Pas de message d'erreur, mais quand j'essaye de l'ouvrir, le logiciel se plante (ne répond plus).J'ai tout essayé : suppression du livre, rechargement du livre, désinstallation du logiciel avec arrêt du PC, suppression du répertoire My Digital Editions.Rien y fait le livre est toujours là, je peux lire les infos sur l'élément, etc, mais dès que je le lis, le logiciel se plante.Il faut surement supprimer des fichiers systèmes mais lesquelles?Dans l'attente,Merci

Bonjour, J'ai une liseuse Kobo Aura H2O avec laquelle j'ai lu quelques livres empuntés d'une biliothèque publique avec le logiciel Adobe Digital Edition 4.5.11. Depuis ce jour, à chaque fois que j'essaie d'ouvrir le nouveau livre que j'ai emprunté, il apparaissait le message d'erreur : « Votre liseuse n'est pas autorisée à ouvrir ce livre. Ce livre est protégé par Adobe Digital Rights Management. Ayant bloqué l'accès à votre liseuse, vous devez renouveler l'accès au livre et l'importer à nouveau en utilisant Adobe Digital Editions (ADE).» J'ai alors tenté de désactiver et de réactiver ma liseuse. À présent, j'ai le message suivant: « Votre liseuse n'est pas autorisée à ouvrir ce livre. Ce livre est protégé par Adobe Digital Rights Management. Hi, I am getting the following error message "error getting license. license server communication problem: e_google_device_limit_reached" when I try to convert ASCM to EPUB. Support won't help me because I am not a subscriber. Suggested I post here. I don't know why this is happening and can't find any helpful information on how to rectify this. Thanks

How to reset old authorizations on Adobe Digital Editions?Can't sign in to Adobe Digital Editions on PC.The limit of the number of machines has been reached.The old computers of those who quit are formatted and it is not possible to exit the Adobe authorization (Adobe Digital Editions on PC).It is not possible to reset authorizations through Adobe tools. I found such an item when changing the password and it does not work for Adobe Digital Editions.

Why can't I open my downloaded ebook in Digital Edition nor can I get any help with this problem?  

I have been trying on and off for an hour to download Adobe Digital Editions to open a .ascm file that I need to access for mhy job, but it send me to a page in India and then says I can't down load it and then to a page where there is only an app for IOS. Is there no desktop version? This is very frustrating!

Hi! I downloaded a book for Adobe digital editions and by mistake opened it on another device, which for not authorised to adobe id, but instead to the exact computer. Can I undo this action? To athorize later in another machine?
