Digital Editions

Hi! I've just recently started using Adobe Digital Editions on my Macbook Air, and the installation has worked fine, I have the latest edition as well. I could also download the e-book I bought and read it, highlight, etc, without any problems. However, I had to force quit the program due to it being unresponsive, and when I started it again the book had completely disappeared from my library (it was the first time I quit the app on my computer). And ever since then, every time I close the app after reading the book and then open it up again, the book has disappeared. This is highly annoying, and prevents me from saving my work in the form of bookmarks, etc. What can I do to prevent this?! I have tried signing in and out, deleting and reinstalling, etc. But nothing has worked. Does anyone have any ideas? 

Hello, I have a book that reads fine on the build-in monitor of my M1 MAC (running latest Ventura release).However, if I want to read on my external 4K monitor, I can only see part of the pages and cannot scroll to read the remaining text of the pages. I tried several settings, including changing resolution (3840x2160, 2560x1440 or 1920x1080) and also tried changing text size etc. This is very annoying, as I now cannot use the large monitor for reading books.

Pas de message d'erreur, mais quand j'essaye de l'ouvrir, le logiciel se plante (ne répond plus).J'ai tout essayé : suppression du livre, rechargement du livre, désinstallation du logiciel avec arrêt du PC, suppression du répertoire My Digital Editions.Rien y fait le livre est toujours là, je peux lire les infos sur l'élément, etc, mais dès que je le lis, le logiciel se plante.Il faut surement supprimer des fichiers systèmes mais lesquelles?Dans l'attente,Merci

Bonjour, J'ai une liseuse Kobo Aura H2O avec laquelle j'ai lu quelques livres empuntés d'une biliothèque publique avec le logiciel Adobe Digital Edition 4.5.11. Depuis ce jour, à chaque fois que j'essaie d'ouvrir le nouveau livre que j'ai emprunté, il apparaissait le message d'erreur : « Votre liseuse n'est pas autorisée à ouvrir ce livre. Ce livre est protégé par Adobe Digital Rights Management. Ayant bloqué l'accès à votre liseuse, vous devez renouveler l'accès au livre et l'importer à nouveau en utilisant Adobe Digital Editions (ADE).» J'ai alors tenté de désactiver et de réactiver ma liseuse. À présent, j'ai le message suivant: « Votre liseuse n'est pas autorisée à ouvrir ce livre. Ce livre est protégé par Adobe Digital Rights Management. Hi, I am getting the following error message "error getting license. license server communication problem: e_google_device_limit_reached" when I try to convert ASCM to EPUB. Support won't help me because I am not a subscriber. Suggested I post here. I don't know why this is happening and can't find any helpful information on how to rectify this. Thanks

Why can't I open my downloaded ebook in Digital Edition nor can I get any help with this problem?  

I have been trying on and off for an hour to download Adobe Digital Editions to open a .ascm file that I need to access for mhy job, but it send me to a page in India and then says I can't down load it and then to a page where there is only an app for IOS. Is there no desktop version? This is very frustrating!

Hi! I downloaded a book for Adobe digital editions and by mistake opened it on another device, which for not authorised to adobe id, but instead to the exact computer. Can I undo this action? To athorize later in another machine?

After I fill in my AdobeID and password I receive: "Connection Error. Digital Editions could not connect to the activation server. Please make sure you are connected to the Internet. To retry click Try Again button". Of course I am connected to the internet, my Adobe ID and password are correct. I am using Windows Vista, tried on Mozilla and Chrome browsers. Is there any way to autorize my laptop?

Hi,I have had some problems lately reading books from my local library using my eReader and Digital Editions 4.0.I have Windows 7 SP1, and version 4.0 is the only one that seems to work on my system.Anyways, I deactivated ADE from my computer, and re-activated it. I AM ABLE to activate ADE on my computer.When I try to activate my eReader to use that same licencde for Rights Management,I get this message:Limit of Number of Machines Allowed per ID Reachedcode: E_ACT_TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONS http://deactivate.adobe.com/adept/Activate10000:570:10000 urn:uuid:6d31a3bb-97ce-4e7d-87f8-5d16cd94c8f6 From what I can tell, I will have to get the number of devices reset, so I can try to re-activate it again. Vous devez confirmer l'accès à votre liseuse avec Adobe ID en utilisant ADE".- j'ai téléchargé ADE (version 4.5, puis version 4.0, et version 3.0) et recréé un ID, mon ordinateur et ma liseuse sont autorisés (j'ai suivi correctement la procédure) - je ne rencontre ce problème que depuis un mois- je ne parviens plus à transférer aucun livreA force de signaler ce problème un peu partout, j'ai appris aujourd'hui qu'il pourrait être la conséquence de mises à jour Adobe. Mais malgré les mises à jour, le problème persiste. Quelle est la solution?

Using Windows 7: ADE opens its window and then shows "A.D.E. has stopped working" and closes the window. Problem Event Name CLR20r3 is given as the cause. Please help.

Ho acquistato un e-book e l'ho scaricato su Adobe Digital Editions, regolarmente installato nel mio pc. Sia il programma sia il mio Kobo ereader sono autorizzati con il mio ID Adobe. Ma quando scarico il libro sull'ereader e tento di aprirlo mi compare il messaggio:"Attenzione! Questo documento non può essere aperto. Il documento è protetto da Adobe Digital Editions (DRM) e non può essere utilizzato con l'ID Adobe corrente. Accedi con l'ID Adobe autorizzata e riprova". Ho riprovato più volte ma il risultato è lo stesso. Cosa posso fare? PS sul Kobo il libro compare con la copertina tutta nera, ma nei dettagli posso leggere Autore, Titolo e dimensioni, quindi il download è avvenuto!

I first got Adobe Digital Editions when I bought a book off of Books-a-million and needed it to read the file. It worked fine then. But recently, I wanted to re-read the book, I opened Adobe Digital Editions and it froze, giving me the classic Program not Responding message. I updated the program. I authorized my computer again. I removed the book from the library and brought it back in. It still won't open. I've tried with another ACSM file and it still freezes. I just end up closing it and opening it again and it still won't open. I don't remember if I downloaded the book and program when I had Windows 10 or not. But the second ACSM file I downloaded a week ago still doesn't work. No matter what Adobe Digital Editions still freezes. I've gotten it to open plain EPUB files, but it won't open any ACSM files. Is anyone else having this problem? If so, can you give me a hand so I can fix it? It would be greatly appreciated.

I installed Adobe Digital Editions on my iPad Pro (iPad OS 16.4.1). Then, I installed ADE on my Macbook Air (M1, MacOS 13.1). On my Macbook ADE, I cannot find the Ebook that I have on my iPad ADE. How can I synch them? I was instructed to try the following steps to synch my two devices. But, my issue is that my Ebook only appears on my iPad ADE.  On your Macbook, open ADE and right click on the book in question. Select "Show In Finder," and take note of the location, or keep the window open.Connect your iOS device to iTunes.Once in iTunes, go to your connected iOS device (from step 2) and select "File Sharing," which should be on the left side of the window.Scroll to and select ADE (assuming that you have it downloaded to your iOS device).Either select "add" or drag the file into the window and sync the device.Your book in question should automatically show up on your iOS device.

Hi, I'd like to print bookmarks and notes from my version (Italian 4.5.11.187303). Other post suggest to look for .annot files but I can't find any: other suggestions?

Ik heb iedere keer problemen met het opstarten van ADE. Blijft na openen aanklikken hangen op melding 'Bibliotheek wordt geladen' en komt niet verder.ADE ook al helemaal verwijderd en opnieuw gedownload/opgestart maar haalt niet uit.Hoe kan dit verholpen worden? Kom nu niks verder. Alvast dank!!!
