I bought an ebook on the google play store and downloaded it. When I add it to my adobe digital edition library I am prompted to authorize the computer. I have selected google as the ebook vendor and entered my login details (same as the google play store) but I keep getting an error message that my detail cannot be recognised? What detail am I supposed to put in the vendor login ID and vendor password?
Why is it impossible to display two pages at once, side-by-side, when viewing a PDF in Adobe Digital Editions 4.5? Even after presumably 4.5 iterations, in the year 2019, how it is possible for such a simple feature, in a book reader no less, to be entirely absent? At least allowing the user the option to view a book or magazine in it's original format seems like a no-brainer.
Hello, It appears that a number of people are encountering E_ADEPT_NO_FULFILLMENT_RESULT when attempting to add an ACSM file to ADE from Google play. I've already tried deauthorizing/authorizing with ADE, installing/uninstalling ADE, and deleting the ADEPT regeister key and nothing has resolved this issue. Is there a fix for this bug?
I downloaded a book from a publisher, it was labelled as "pdf wit DRM. But when I tried to open it with ADE 4.5 I got the following message: E_ACT_NOT_READY. Has anyone a good idea? Many thanks
I uninstalled ADE V4.5 due to e books from library not opening. I installed ADE V3 but on my attempt to "Authorize Your Computer", my Adobe ID isn't being accepted. I have confirmed that my password is correct. Pleas help!
Hi All,I just got a Nook Glowlight witht he sole purpose of reading library books from the Libby app. I got the nook in the mail last night and set it up. Last night, Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 was able to recognize and authorize my nook, and I dragged and dropped a library book to the nook, where it appeared but I was unable to open it, getting an error message of "loan token update failed". I reset my nook and connected it to my adobe account (it was not connected to the adobe account before and I figured that was the problem) and now Adobe Digital Editions is not registering my nook at all. The nook is recognized by my Mac. When I try to go into the nook folder, there is not one that says anything about adobe digital editions (other forum responses have said to delete that from the nook folder and try again, but I cannot do this). I have unplugged and replugged in multiple times both before and after opening Adobe, I have deauthorized and reauthorized my computer in Adobe multiple t
I'm having an issue reading library books on my Nook Glowlight 3. I bought the Nook last year and have had ADE 4.5.10 the whole time. I've read tons of library books and haven't had any issues. All of a sudden I am unable to open the epub files on my nook because they are saying they're returned. I can open the files in ADE on my computer and in the Libby Library app so I know they haven't been returned accidentally. The only information I can find on this error is from 2015 so I'm hesitant to download an earlier version of ADE since the 4.5 version has been working for over a year without any problems. The issue is occuring for ebooks I've had on hold and ebooks I've borrowed immediately (I've tested a few). Anyone have some newer information on how to deal with this error? Or contact information for Adobe DE? I tried calling the regular Adobe Customer Service number and they had no idea what DE even is. -_-
Downloaded ADE 4.5.2 and it wont open. Any suggestions
Hi,I am trying to copy an epub from my Android phone to my reader (Sony PRS-T2) using a SD-Card.When I put the SD-Card in my reader the epub shows up, but when I try to open it it says the file is DRM-protected.- My reader is activated using the same Adobe-ID as I used on my phone.- I downloaded an ACSM-file from my public library and used the Adobe Digital Editions App to get the epub.- I can read the ebook on my phone.- I can transfer epub-files from my computer (Win) to the reader (drag&drop, even without using ADE) and open and read them on the reader.- I will be traveling with only my phone and my reader, so using my computer won't be an option. What is the problem here? Is there a special way to sync the sd-Card with the reader or do I need to put the file into a particular folder on the sd-card or do I need to copy additional files? Help is much appreciated!
Hi! We are in the midst of a college library pilot of a large number of books in ADE. There are a number of immediate program limitations that I have encountered. The system is set up so that a patron can take a book out for a 24 hour or 7 day loan period. There are unilmiited numbers of simultaneous users. The files have a limit on the copy and print portions. The issues i have encountered thus far:Sloppy / wasteful file storage and duplication: Every time a copy is checked out, even it is the same book, a new "urllink.acsm" file is created in the downloads directory, and when that file is clicked (why doesn't the Adobe Digital Reader automatically scan for new ones by the way when it opens?) a new copy of BOOKNAME.pdf is created in the Documents/Digital Editions directiory. Even in the first week that I have been experimenting with the system, for example, I have six duplicate files in the "Digital Editions" directory. All the older ones are just exp
Hi,My Adobe Digital Edition is both authorised on my computer and on my ebook reader (kobo). I am on Windows 10 and had to reinstall ADE since I upgraded recently. When I rent a book from a digital library, it sends me an .acsm file that I was normally opening with ADE.. Now everything is set like before and when I open an .acsm file, nothing happens and the menu items are greyed-out and the book never show up. If I start ADe and just try to look what books are on my reader, it's fine but when I try to open an .acsm things gett ugly. I thought maybe I need to reauthorise my computer, so did the process again, but still had the same issue. I reinstalled ADE, made the authorisation but still have the same issue. At this poins, I have looked online several hours but couldn't find a solution to my problem so I am asking on this forum. Maybe it's a compatibility issue with Windows 10, but right now I'm out of option.
bought a ebook from the Google Store, when I wouwnload the .acsm file to open it with Adobe Digital Edition this window popos up and the book won't open.
I downloaded a book from my library and transferred it to my laptop. Using adobe digital editions, I added the book to my Nook. When I try to open the book on my nook I get the following: "Error Dialog This book has been returned. Loan not on record". I deleted the book from my Nook and added it again. Same result. I downloaded from the library again, Same error message. Please help!
Hi,I get the activation error every time I download an ebook from my library. I have no problems downloading pdfs to adobe digital editions, or epubs from Project Gutenberg or free review copies from my email. I have reauthorized my nook ereader but that did not solve the problem. I would also rather not uninstall Digital editions and lose my books.
I have just tried to download a my fourth book from my local library, the first three downloaded without a hitch, but now I get this message E_LIC_LICENSE_SIGN_ERROR I have reinstalled Digital Downloads twice still get the same message, I also deauthorised and reauthorised with my adobe ID but still get the same message. Please help.
Hi I get this e-adept no token error when I want to open the acsm file. Although I paid attention to the following points, the error could not be resolved. Can you help me?1- The current version of the digital editions program is installed. 2- The device date and time are set correctly, 3- I repeatedly downloaded the file from different internet browsers, 4- I have deauthorized Digital Editions on my computer and re-authorized it again.
I keep getting this error anytime I try to download a book into Adobe Digital Editions. I figured it was an authorization issue so instead of authorizing under my Adobe ID I choose the ebook vendor Overdrive (that's what my digital library uses). I then proceeded to type in my Overdrive digital library vendor ID and password. Well Adobe keeps telling me that the ID or password is incorrect. How? That's the exact one I use to log in to Overdrive. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Error getting license. License Server Communication Problem: E_LIC_LICENSE_SIGN_ERROR This error is happening for every .acsm file I try to download from Archive.orgIt just started happening. No issues before this. I've updated ADE, de/reauthorized the program. Cleared cache and cookies. Nothing works.Anyone else having this issue? Suggestions on how to fix? This is very frustrating.
I have followed the steps to create a new password. But unfortunately I pressed "continue with google" instead of just "continue", and my account opened. So I end up on a page saying "welcome to your account, Marten" and the re is no way to create a new password from here.
I am at my wits end with ADE troubleshooting. Here at least is something that Adobe can fix...The download weblink for ADE 3.0 is broken (as of 2/27/2018). The ADE download page Adobe Digital Editions | Download has a link near the bottom to ADE 3.0 "Download Digital Edition 3.0 here This sends me to Adobe Digital Editions downloads (www.adobe.com/support/digitaleditions/downloads.html) which is currently just a list of Adobe Product Destinations. Overdrive Help also links to this broken link.! Please fix this super simple issue asap, Adobe!!!
ADE 4.5.11 When opening the program "loading library" appears but never loads the library of just shy of 300 items. Tried a reinstall and the issue persists. Only use ADE for library downloads through Overdrive to add to a Kobo device. Found previous thread of suggestions but was not sure if they remained correct (thread was years old) and do not want to corrupt the library or the Kobo. Thanks!
