Digital Editions

HeyI have trouble using my ePub books since the page numbers doesn't match up with the physical book. When I go to the next page, it sometimes jump 2 or more pages.I quess that the window isn't the actual size of the page and that is why it jumps. My question is, how to I easily set up the window, so that it will fit the actual page size? The PDF view options doesn't work.

I'm transferring to a new laptop. I installed latest ADE from website, authorised the new PC, and it opened with all the books I had on my old PC. Checked it was all working by opening the "Welcome..." book. Great. job done, or so I thought. Closed ADE down, went on to do something else, and re-opened ADE later. Now it's totally blank (see screenshot). No books, not even the "Welcome ..." one I looked at earlier. Most of the menu options are greyed out as well. Have tried closing and re-opening several times. Also tried adding the "Welcome" document to the library (that's one of the few menu options not greyed out) but it tells me it can't do that because that book is already present in my library ... but I can't see it! Any ideas what's gone wrong here? Why would it open properly once but not thereafter? Thanks in advance.

I'm trying to access my e-books that I bought on Adlibris.com. However, I can only open a few of them. The following error message is displayed when I am trying to open new e-books "The vendor account you entered is not associated with the item you are trying to open". Although, the Adobe ID is correct.Why can't I open all my e-books on Adobe Digital Editions? I use version 4.5.

When opening ADE 4.5 it only shows 'library is loading". But the library is not opening. Even when I restart the PC the problem stays the same.How can I resolve this?

Hey all, I installed ADE 4.5.11 on a new machine (Dell XPS13) - it's only 2 weeks old. I've gotten a couple of library books out, but when I click the next/previous page arrows or choose a page in the table of contents, the view of the page doesn't update -- the page counter increases, but it still shows you the previous page. If I minimize then maximize the window, that will force it to update. I see others have encountered this but found no solutions, has anyone got anything new? By the way, this is the fourth time I've had to install ADE on this machine. It worked once, but I got a couple of library books from freading, and then after this ADE would show a blank window when it started -- followed by crashing to desktop shortly after this.   

Hello Adobe support,I work at a public library and we now have at least 8 - 12 members of the public (anecdotally more), who are unable to open Adobe DRM epub ebooks on their Kobo ereaders from our Overdrive or Freading services using Adobe Digital Editions versions between 4.0 and 4.5 and Windows 7 - 10. All of the people involved were using their Kobo with ADE successfully until just recently, and all have experienced the following set of conditions and problem:ADE 4.0 - 4.5 is authorized with an Adobe ID.DRM epub ebooks seem to download properly inside ADE.The Kobo appears to be properly authorized and is connected via USB, appearing in ADE.When the ebook is transferred to the device, it seems to work properly and no errors appear.As soon as the customer ejects the Kobo and tries to open the ebook on the device itself the error message pops up: "Oops! Ich habe Digital Editions auf drei Geräten installiert (gleiche E-Mail Adresse, gleiches Password). Trotzdem öffnen sich E-Books immer nur auf dem Gerät, auf dem sie heruntergeladen wurden. Wie kann ich alle E-Books auf allen Geräten (Handy, PC und E-Book Reader) sehen?

So I wanted to sync my home computer to my work computer with digital editions.My work computer wouldn't download the books from my home computer, so I unauthorised both computers. Now I cant even read or authorise my home computer and all my books are unreadable.

I have been plagued with the same problems as many others, and any fixes only last a while.  But the other day I happened to re-start my Kobo-Glo, and saw a reference to Overdrive, the security system that my local library uses.  I found (for the first time) that the complete borrowing process could be perfomed on the Kobo over wifi, so no ADE is required.  I have no idea how long this capability has been there, but I for one won't be using ADE ever again if I can help it! I hope this helps someone - and if you all knew already, why did no-one tell me?  Martin the slow.

I have been trying to open books on my Kobo downloaded from Overdrive. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, unauthorized, authorized and tried different computers. I keep getting the same message that my e-reader is not authorized to open the books.  I have tried authorizing using my Adobe ID and my Overdrive ID.  nothing. I have contacted Kobo - no help. I have contacted Adobe - was told to use the chat feature, person on the chat feature said because it is a free product they don't offer support.  It is clear that I am not the only person having these issues. I am accessing the books from my library and should have access to read them.   

I don't seem to be able to open books from Overdrive.  when I transfer the book to my KOBO I get an error message saying that the book is protected by adobe digital rights management and is not currently authorized for use with my adobe ID.  I have contacted both KOBO and overdrive support and have had no luck.I have un-installed and re-installed adobe, un authorized and re authorized my computer and my kobo  and performed a factory reset on my kobo.if anyone has any suggestions PLEASE... i just want to read my book!

Kobo says it's not authorized, but it is!I opened the book with ADE 4.5 on the computer. I can see and read it on the computer.When I copy it to the e-reader it doesn't work!Computer and e-reader have the same authorization - I checked it several times.I already tried:- Shut the e-reader on and off.- Shut the computer on and off.- delete the books from the e-reader and copy them on the e-reader again.- de-authorize the e-reader and re-authorize it.- de-authorize the computer and re-authorize it.- delete the books from ADE and download them again.- various combinations from above!What's going on with ADE!?It worked before and I didn't change anything.

I downloaded some comics from Netgalley. Unfortunately, the double-page view option is greyed out on ADE and this makes it difficult to read some sections. Can anyone advise how to enable double-page views? I have macOS 10.15.5 and digital editions 4.5.  Would it also be possible to include a double-page view option on the iPad version or ADE? The screen is large enough to accommodate this.

I purchased digital textbooks from Irwin Law that use ADE for students to access PDF versions. The ADE will not launch after downloading and opening the application. It opens but does not launch into full screen or any content. It will just sit as an open application icon on the desktop. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it over 3 times, I have restarted my computer, I have also tried to run as admin and rename the file. I cannot preform ADE authorization/deauthorization because the app won't launch. I am running this program on the latest version on windows from my XPS. Someone please help I need to do my law school readings lol 

Hello, I can see my pdf. file on my tablet, but when I log in on my laptop I have an error while opening it.The message says "Unable to download. Error getting License Server Communication Problem". I have checked on tabled that Auto Download is enabled. The version of Adobe Digital Editions on Apple tablet is 4.5.11.187480And on Windows computer 4.5.11.187303Adobe Technical support cannot help and referred me to this forum.Thank you in advance

Cloud Sync keeps bringing back deleted ebooks in Adobe Digital Edition autorized with an Adobe account. I have deleted those books in the past.Why is Cloud Sync still retrieving back all deleted ebooks? In fact, only ebooks title appears in ADE library, the ebook content is not present.How do we definitely delete ebooks in CloudSync?

  Hi all I had to install a new hard rive to widows 10No sses when I transfer from my UK public library to my kobobut when I open my kobo I see the following problem  "Your eReader is not authorized to open this book" - This book is protected by Adobe Digital Rights Management (DRM). How can I fix this problem?Thank you

I see other posts about this, but I can't find the answer yet. I had about 200 books in ADE on my old computer, and now that I got a new computer it asks for an "ID and password" but I've tried every old ID and password that I can find and nothing works. So then I called Adobe on the phone, and they said basically, "It's not OUR problem." I bought these books (though not from Adobe) and they cost me a lot of money. Just exactly what "ID and password" are they looking for? I tried the ones I used to log into the old computer, and I tried the ones for Google too. Nothing's worked yet. 

Using windows 8 and 7. ADE 4.5 stopped working. Cannot read book on computer, error. Can't move to Kobo, copy not allowed. Library recommended installing ADE 3.0. Link goes to ADE 4.5. Deauthorized ADE and Kobo, uninstalled ADE, removed files from documents. Reinstalled and reauthorized. Still Errs. Same problem on friends computer. Tried a different computer still errs. Tried all suggestions I could find on-line. Still errs. I have to assume that the authorization process is not working and that there is nothing I can do?

I've always used 3.0.  Geek Squad installed new hard drive, and my laptop has gone bonkers (it seems).  Had to get new Office and Quicken software, my printer wouldn't print (it is now), and now my ADE won't let me put books in Nook and isn't showing my bookcases to boot.  I notice it's 4.whatever, but my system doesn't like 4. editions.  It wants 3.0 (yes, it's old, like me).  I find the blue 3.0 link where it always has been, but all it wants to do is give instructions, which I don't need.   Help?  Either with getting 3.0 back or how do I get laptop to accept 4.whatever version.  Thanks much!
