Dimension

In Dimension,  when you select an object and you want to add it to the library you have only the choice for adding a "model" (which is the whole scene, and not the single part) but you don't have the choice to add only the material. could it be possible to get this feature many thanks

I just installed the latest version of Dimensions and the material application is much much slower. It can take up to 3 minutes to select an object again. Rendering with the same settings as the previous version has gone from 2 to 30 minutes. I hope the speed issue gets fixed as it's affecting my workflow in the program. The type of texture being applied doesn't affect the length of time it takes to apply a material.

I need to access specific camera angles in multiple documents that have already been created. In the latest update there is no way to save a camera so it can be used in other documents that have already been created. Support's fix is to use previous version but previous version will not open the numerous files created in latest Dimension. Any suggestions?

When I select objects and I try to move/scale/rotate them I can't see the handles that are normally there. I normally use the handles to move along a specific axis for example. I search the forums and found someone who seemed to have the same problem then they said: Solved. Found them by clicking on 'show/hide viewport extras' But I can't find "show/hide viewport extras"

file opened in previous version of Dimension, it's a large file, so not sure what to do, should i got back to the pervious version of dimensions?

Hello,When creating a new file in Dimension, there is an option for Millimeters for Scene Units, but not for Canvas Units. As I'm from an engineering background, I work in mm rather than cm, so artworks that I create in illustrator in mm have to be scaled up 1000% before importing into Dimension.Can a Millimeter option be added to Canvas Size please? It's only a 10x scaling factor so should be easy to implement. Thanks!

My .fbx file does not appear?I can use FBX Review to see the image, but when Import to Adobe.I gett a blank page?Please see attached.Many Thanks,Gerard

Hi,I am getting this window when I try to open Adobe Dimension on my computer. I have used it before many times not sure what's the problem.I wanted to uninstall it but Adobe says it cannot because it's running.I checked in Windows task manager and it doesn't show there. How can this be solved?Thanks!

I've recently updated Dimension and now a file I was working on the day before won't open, I get an error message telling me to post to the forum for troubleshooting and to include the attached log.

Hi all, I have a model of a 440ml can which I place a decal on to immitate a label. It has worked fine up until the new version of Dimension was released. I am now getting vertical lines across the decal. Please see the image showing what I mean. 

Hello ! I recently downloaded Dimension on my laptop, and it's able to run it. But when I open it, I can see the tool bar without any problem but the "space" part is black. does anyone know how I can fix this ?thanks ! 

I agree that Dimension may need to convert a Primitive in Mesh when beveling or generating UV's  but could it be possibel to keep surface smooth?converting a Cylinder generate faces which are very visible and anesthetic... manty Thnaks

Hello, Every time i try to use the magic wand tool dimension freezes.i have submitted a couple of crash reports, but i never heard from adobe how to fix it. comp specs.:Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-14900HX 2.20 GHz64,0 GB (63,7 GB usable)NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090Windows 11 proDimension 4.1

Importing dimension files into a new Dimension file. When undoing the last import it crashes (see report). There have been huge issues with performance since the last update  to 4.1.0  

When I run the program and open a new file, I only see a white screen where I can place shapes. Please suggest a solution. 

Adobe Dimension 4.03 ver. freezes the computer incredibly and the program is never used

Hi guys. I've noticed a problem today when trying to open Dimension. It's just not working anymore. Nothing shows in the work space. I don't think it's a sistem problem, as I work on a daily bases with 3d software as blender or unreal engine and they work just fine.  I do see there was an update a couple a weeks ago and I think that's when the problem started. 

Adobe Dimensions wont' open any of my recent files, i get the error message below, did anyone else have this and how can i fix it? 

In new Dn update version a "Show Contextual Task Bar" command is missed in Window Menu. After hiding we need to relaunch Dn.  

I'm using an imported model  (made in Cinema 4D, exported as .obj) in my scene. When I try to place a texture on it it appears flipped (mirorred) and I can not figure out how to mirror it back without editing texture itself. The same with a decal.I've tried different export options regarded to UV and even normals flipping - nothing changes. Tried also Object -> generate UVs -> didn't help

Hi.I have a flat box (Sachet) with Texture image on. I want to apply a Normal Map that only effect the outer area of the front face, is that something achievable in Adobe Dimension. (See effect made instead in Photoshop)./Tedski

Fairly new to 3d but have been using it more lately so opened up Dimensions for the first time in a few months and it won't run anymore. Not sure what can be done but it was running smoothly before the latest version but now I can't even open a drop down menu to see how to downgrade the live preview or something. Everything grinds to a halt. I think we'll be getting new computers soon but current specs below. It's a shame, we were hoping to get more people to use this but seems like we won't be able to with this update. Seems like Adobe's strategy lately is to alienate people from their products more and more...
