Dreamweaver

Hello, I edited a webpage that displays correctly in Firefox, Chrome and Safari but appears jumbled in Internet Explorer. Any recommendations? I don't see an issue in the code. On my preview in Explorer, it looks fine too but not live on Explorer. KT

When I make a change to a php script, the script RUNS on the server as if I typed the url in a browser and hit enter!  How is this possible.  I have Dreamweaver 20.2 I have verifed this is happening by looking in our log files after I make a change to a file.  I notice that the script that "runs" has random letters added to the files name.  [quote_sckcalc_2uj16ehs4z.php]  The 2uj16ehs4z is NOT part of the files name. Any ideas why/how this could happen! Thanks!

Good morning, I have a website consisting of a few hundred pages and during the construction I created styles that I didn't use. I would like to know if there is a way to check which styles or selectors are not used (external stylesheet)? Hi My old computer became unusable due to a hardware failure so I bought a new one and installed all my Adobe apps. I've just opened Dreamweaver and was expecting my Sites to load in automatically. I thought the site definitions were backed up remotely on my Adobe account. Does this feature exist or am I imagining it? If it does, how do I access/sync my site definitions?TIAChris

Hello, in 2005 I purchased Dreamweaver and installed it into my computer. Now I want to reinstall this product into my new computer. How can I do it with my old license?

Before I post this as a bug report on dreamweaver.uservoice.com I wanted to check whether someone else also has this problem and whether this is not a wrong configuration or wrong using of DW on my side. When I type something like "myfunction(" the closing bracket is automatically added. That's good. So I have "myFunction()". Now I place the cursor between "(" and ")", i.e. "(|)", and type another closing bracket ")". The result: No bracket is added! If I type another closing bracket, it's now added. This behaviour produces a lot of syntax errors in my code, because I constantly forget brackets. Sometimes I have large code lines with a lot of brackets and then maybe I add another one at the end and then at the beginning. The end bracket is not added, as described. If you type fast the not appearing bracket is not always obvious.

am using adobe dreamweaver cc 2019, html5 when i tried to create a login and registration form on my html5 files, i reliarized i had to link html with CCS after writing in html and clickin on the css button provided by the adobe top bar [ IT TOLD ME THAT CSS WASNOT INSTALLED ON MY LOCAL DISK, after i downloaded 2020 version of rapid css and html editor but again it failed to work? there was an option provided by the software that says "get" but it wasnot giving any results. previously used dreamweaver 8 on this same computer with no major headaches. upgraded to dreamweaver cs4, and I get crashes all the time. no pattern to the crashes.sometimes, adding a new folder to the site will cause it to crash (but not always).sometimes trying to navigate the remote site will cause dreamweaver cs4 to crash.sometimes looking at the screen will cause it to crash.anyone else having the same sorts of trouble? i might be ready to switch to zend studio.

Hey, guys.Health and Peace for all.By clicking on the DW and then on the file I want to open, it opens a screen next to "Start your 7-day free trial of the Dreamweaver product." How do I pay for the full package monthly? And the worst is that leaves me no option to leave only the screen that shows this information. At the bottom of the screen there are the "Exit Dreamweaver", "Buy in Adobe.com" and "Start free trial" buttons. I could never get that last option. Couldn't an adobe fix this? If you already have all adobe programs ask me "Start free trial" or Purchase on Adobe.com"? It's extremely disavour. Is there anything I should do to correct this "mistake"?Thank you

I have the font Futura on a website and I have a PC.  My customer has a Mac and cannot see Futura, only someting like Times Roman.  My iPhone is right and one other friend can see the right font.  What shall I do?   [Edited by moderator for clarity.]

Hello, I have a menu using the rollover behavior created using the insert rollover image dialog box. It works fine but now I want to change the rollover image. I cannot find an easy way to do that!  The only way I found is to delete and recreate the rollover, or to edit directly inside the code. A solution should be to modify the parameters of the onMouseOver behavior, but impossible to modify the onMouseOver behavior in the corresponding panel (double click on it has no effect) for example. Is existing a solution for that? Thank you

I have an html website in DW and am trying to add a login screen to one section. I've tried to create a mySQL table for it on my hosting server, and am now trying to use MAMP to link the html to the php db. I'm a novice at this and nothing is working. Can anyone walk me through the steps of how to do this? Thanks.

For anyone who is experiencing mind-numblingly slow typing in the code view, just a note that I was able to solve the problem by rolling back to the previous version. There are many posts on this topic, some going back almost TEN YEARS (good lord Adobe, can you really not fix such a basic problem with one of your key applications for 10 years?), and they mistakenly suggest doing things like turning of caching, code hinting, etc. None of these make any difference, and frankly the idea that you have to disable program functionality for the software to function properly is ridiculous. The problem is the software. Different users experience this slow typing bug differently, but if you are experiencing this and you're running the latest version, try rolling back.

I could use a refresher course in how dreamweaver ceates text forms.I see <input name="TB1" type="text" id="TB14" size="55" maxlength="675" style="width: 675"/>First off, my client wants me to label the names TB1, TB2, ect....I'm pretty sure I should leave the id alone.   Here is a question. What does maxlength do and style-width do? When I put the numbers in nothing changed? however, when I put size 55 in, it got wider. Also, when I go to Insert, Form, Text it only displays <input type="text"> Why is it not giving me more code? I am using <meta content="text/html; charset=windows-1252" http-equiv="Content-Type"/> if that. means anything.

I have a responsive site that needs a php page for a shopping channel. When I go into Dreamweaver and open a new php page I do not get the option for Bootstrap as I do with a HTML page. Is there somehow I can get round this? Really appreciate some help

Hello!I have a problem downloading websites via dreamveaver FTP.This problem only exists for pages hosted by a specific provider.Connection can be established - download starts - some files of the website are downloaded - and then: "process aborted"The provider has checked everything - from his side there should be no error.With many other sites, which are with other providers, this problem does not exist.My settings are the same on all pages.The problem has only existed for some time. Until recently, it was still possible. I haven't changed anything about Dreamveaver.The provider thinks it could be because there are too many simultaneous connections. But that means nothing to me. Is there anyone who's had this problem before?   

I need to use 1252 Encoding. The page is already using <meta charset="UTF-8">In order to make the page <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252" /> is it as simple as taking out the UFT-8 code and replacing it with the 1252 code? Or is there something else I have to do? Since I already created the page using  uft-8, will converting it to 1252 code cause character issues? Edit:I see if I go to New Document > Preferences it brings me to the Default Encoding section. But I do not see charset=windows-1252 to select. Thanks

Can anyone help me figure out why my slideshow wont appear in the design view, but it will appear in the editing code and live view? It also wont show up when I export to see the file on google chrome.

F12 preview show me the page but through an iFrame and not the original file,It happened lately and I don't know why instead of loading my local file from my computer it somehow renders it through iframe so when I came to edit it via Dev-Tools I can't really do anything see image below
