Dreamweaver

I've been making some changes to my website, and I noticed that after I tweaked things a bit and added a photo or two, the text on the website is now all aligned to the center. I checked DW and it looks good there; it's still aligned to the left - the way I want it, so I wouldn't know what to change. I certainly didn't knowingly change the alignment in any way. Any ideas on how to correct this? I have DW CS6.

I have two object<div id = "object1"></div>  <div id = "object2"></div>  These "object" are setting with style property like:<style>#MyObject2 {top: 700; left: 400px; width: 70px; height: 70px;position: absolute;background-image:  url(http://xxx1.png); background-size: cover;">}</style>And so on.I need a function that permit with a mouseclick to move the object2 to the place of the object1.How it is possible to do? I remember, from the 1990s, when I last used Dreamweaver (2.0?), it was a WYSIWYG interface.  It would let you create drop down menus.  Where do I look for this on Brackets?

How do I open one HTML file from another without the user having to mouse click?  E.G.  Index.html opens a welcome HTML, a help HTML, and the root page of the tree.

The latest version of DreamWeaver CC installs correctly on my Windows 7 (Service Pack 1), but when I launch program, the opening screen appears and the wheel just keeps spinning like it is going to fully open, but it does not and I'm force to quit. Has this happened to anyone recently. If so, any resolution? I don't have "Web Companion" or any other extensions that could block the launch of DreamWeaver. And I have all the font files in my system that Adobe requires. Thanks!

My navigation bar has always worked fine in Chrome. I added one more page to the menu and now all my submenus are visible and the links with submenus don't work. I tried it in Mozilla and it seems fine, but it always worked in Chrome. The site is www.winvoices,comHere is a screenshot of the problem.

In resurrecting this site I'm seeing collapsed pages where templates have been.  I can't create new pages, and I can't add to or otherwise modify existing pages.  Need to take one problem at a time.  Anyone game? I've been away from this for three years and everything is rusty.

I'm using ssi to call different .html documents (that are being parsed as .shtml) for my different layouts. I'm using the tags for min-width and max-width, which I have set to 1000px. Both of them are set to that number.The point is to only show the ssi-called .shtml file for mobile at only up to a maximum resolution of 1000px, and to show the ssi-called .shtml  file for desktop at anything beyond that.Beyond that, I have a specific style set up for internet explorer, that has it's own settings and does not adapt to mobile devices.At this point, it is correctly calling the desktop style, but not the mobile one. It doesn't matter the displa size, and I've tested it on every major browser.I actually have both the mobile and desktop styles set to the following....headermobile { display: inline;}  .headerdesktop { display: none;}…and it still only calls the desktop one for some reason?I would appreciate any help and if someone could point me in the right direction? Hi,I am having a major problem getting my email forms to work via my server my website Registration and Contact pages are both constructed in Dreamweaver CC using the FormMail Post method code. The server I'm using is Crazy Domains to host my site. They do have php available. I have a php file in their cgi-bin folder to work the backend but this file may not be configured correctly as I keep receiving the 500 error codes when I test sending the form from my website via internet. I was hoping someone will be able to help me get my forms working properly to receive the enquiries to my emails inbox. I'm using a MacBook pro mid 2012 which handles the Dreamweaver program nicely. Hello,The contact sheet on my website is not sending emails.  I had contacted HostGator, thought it could be something there side, but they said: "It is usually you using PHPMail that sends the email without the spf record and as such its blocked.  I highly recommend you should use SMTP to send the email out instead of PHPMailer"I am not sure how to do this and he did not know and said that I should google it.Would any one know what I will need to do?  My website is [personal infos deleted by moderator]. I am using a Windows 10 Pro 64 bit machine which should be up to date. Version 1803 (OS Build 17134.706)Dreamweaver CC 2019 build 11212.Windows IIS Version 10.0.17134.1I had a website that just went something like this: All are folders until the parenthesis info.Archived PagesdbLayoutsLibraryLogsScriptsSiteTemplatesYellowstone (then all of the files not located in the above folders.)Once I attached the site to IIS I now have a folder wwwroot with the above information within it. Templates folder, wwwroot folder then Yellowstone, etc.  I.E. The overall directory has duplicate files.Assumption on my part. The correct files to use are the files within the wwwroot folder.Question: can I safely remove all of the files not within the wwwroot folder? If yes what is the safest way to do it? I used to be able to do this all of the time, but I'm having a serious block right now. I guess.I have a basic .html webpage. I'm using ssi to call upon the header, footer, and navigation pane. My .htaccess file is parsing the .html files as .shtml.None of the links in my navigation pane are working for some reason.I checked the code, and that is where the block is coming in. Hello all,I'm getting into WebDev. I learned some Javascript a year ago, and I'm trying to relearn now. I attempted this simple exercise from the online class I took last year; it's supposed to change the h1 color to pink using Javascript:var h1 = document.querySelector("h1");h1.style.color = "pink";When I type this in, nothing happens. I looked at the console on the preview page and got this error message: "Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)"I don't understand what is "not found" and why. I click on the desktop icon for Dreamweaver CS4 and it kind of fires up but then displays an error message box containing the code 147.20 and then closes down.I tried phone support but the automated voice said it can not help.I have Googled it, but not really found an answer.Any thoughts, suggestions or even better a real solution?I rarely use DW, but I am trying to do something for a charity, so please be gentle with me.

Hello all.My site uses a javascript to generate a popup and bottom of page banner to generate sign-ups for my email list. The script is supposed to appear once and if closed, not appear again for 30 days. In older versions of Dreamweaver, Live View would honor this request and if I closed it while the site was showing in split view, the popup and banner wouldn't reappear for a month.With this latest update to Dreamweaver 19.1 (Mac) the pop-up and banner appear on every page I attempt to edit and even when I close them, they re-appear on the next page opened to edit. I've searched and searched and cannot find a solution that works. Does any one have a suggestion for making this stop? Thank you in advance for any help.

Hi,I created bootstrap modal carousel which contains images of various width and height.The problem is that the transition of the images is not smooth.This is the sample page where i also added, in css:#myAutoGallery .carousel-item {  transition: transform 1s ease, opacity .75s ease-out;}I also placed the carousel in the middle of the page as well as some color modificationsThis only make the fade last longer but transition is still very jumpy for different size images.How can make the transition smooth?Sample page:DnD-Production Thank you!

Hi all.I tried to put literally a title to ask my question. In Dreamweaver CC 2017, when I wrote a tag, for example:<div></div>After that, putting the cursor betweem them and pressing enter, the tag block was indent automatically like this:<div>     "blank space indented"</div>Now, in Dreamweaver CC 2018, when I do the same proccess, I have a tag block like this:<div></div>Without the blank space indented. There is a way to do as was made in DW 2017?

Shouldn't the path to the open file appear in one of the locations pointed to by the green arrows as it did in older versions or did they remove that feature in DW CC 2018?  Is there a setting to show the path of the open file?  I see that the path is shown when the tab is hovered over.
