Hello,is it possible to handle cue point with javascript?I need, e.g., to get the name of  cue point at a specific time.Is it possible, and, if yes, in which way, add cue points in mp4 video or mp3?Thanks.

Hello, I am a beginner at HTML coding creating my first website. I have created a home page layout in Photoshop which includes a right column with several buttons that I want to be hyperlinks to the other pages of the site. The layout was sliced and exported into Dreamweaver. I understand how to make hyperlinks, but I cannot figure out how to1. Place the hyperlink where the image is, and make its clickable boundary the same as the image, so you can click on any part of the button for it to work.2. Hide the hyperlink so the only thing that's visible is the image on that section of the layout.This picture I have attached describes the location of the button on the layout. "home_but.jpg" is the button.

I loved F12, but I know it's no longer used to upload and preview in a single step.All I want to be able to do is see a file on the server. The real server, not a live preview or a local file. Make a minor change, hit a key, see it live. Wasted so much time on this I went back to DreamWeaver CS6 for simple edits.If I right click on the file name in the files list (on remote server) and click "Open in Browser" it opens the index file every time - not the file I selected. If I right-click on the file tab and preview in browser, I get a display of the local file (file:///G:/Websites/whatever/test.html). Occasionally the same thing will open 127.0.0.1 server instance.How do I simply see the file live with a click or shortcut? You know - open a site, fix a typo, upload and see the change? NOT view it live on Adobe servers - that often show a file I deleted an hour earlier and not the file I want. Not a local file. Not the WRONG file. Hello, I would like to have two home pages. One version for desktop and one for mobile. I DO NOT WANT A RESPONSIVE WEBSITE. I want to identify on version of a page to be for desktop and one for mobile. Kinda like Muse use too. www.sitename/home and www.sitename/home/phone. Please let me know if you can help. Thank you.

I am using DW CC on Windows 10. My co- designer has all of the content pages from a website that was previous  written in Drupal. I created a template for the pages in DW. We are in two different geographic locations. I uploaded the template to the server, they applied the template at their location and uploaded the pages. Then decided they wanted a change in the template. I have made changes to the template and uploaded it again. There are several hundred pages involved. Is there any other way for these pages to be updated other than A) they download new template reapply it and upload the updated pages or B) me to download all pages apply the template and upload the updated pages?

I began with Dreamweaver 2017 a few days ago, and I have a question.Preview in Primary Browser.  This works well, but I get a preset title: 'Real Time Preview.'By right-clicking on a file, from the list of files, I get the un-prepared title  I am looking for.   I cannot find this option anywhere in Keyboard Shortcuts, so it's not possible to use it.  And on my Mac I can't get opt-F12 to work in any case.So where can I find 'Open in Browser' so I can assign keys to it.Thanks

I'm testing out adding an animation I made in Animate CC to my website. I have followed all the instructions for publishing in Animate CC as well as adding the .oam file to the website, but it is not working. The file previews in Dreamweaver, but it does not show up when viewing on any web browser. Hello, I used Dreamweaver 2015 for a very long time. I spoke with an adobe rep and they told me I needed to update. The new version of Dreamweaver 2018 trys to do so much for you that it slows you down if you know how to code..I am tried to disable code hints and that did not work..Is there a way to disable all features so I can write the code the way I want and just use the FTP with it..

I'm struggling with the drop down menu. The drop down menu list is okey and gray when I hover over it. But where it says "routes" it's only half gray. How to fix this?

I have a site in dreamweaver cs5 ive been using for many years.I created a new folder under the root directory, then tried to save as a page to that new sub diri got a pop up asking if i want to update links, i said yes of coursebut the page is a mess. has no css formatting, all the nav is all over the place, i thought when it said "update links" it meant just thatobviously not. Please tell me what i am doing wrong, what is the correct procedure for saving as a page to new sub dir??

I don't quite know how to frame this and it may already be answered, if so just link to the answer. I am trying iframes for the first time. Basically most of the pages on my site have a menu at the bottom of the page that points to different pages on my site, and that menu needs to be the same across pages. I currently copy and paste the contents in the window to the next page etc. and that works fine. However I have dozens of pages and changing all of them when I change the contents of the menu is a real PITA. So I created a page with just the contents of the menu. I can create an iframe that shows that menu page without any problems. I made the frame size fit the contents of the menu page. However if it's smaller than the menu page it shows scrollbars. a size that makes one scroll across or down to see the entire contents. I don't want that to happen, and I need it to dynamically change the size to fit the contents of the menu page if that page size changes. I can play with the width

A design I'm working on requires a couple of words to be displayed sideways, along the margin. The text also needs to be oversized (8em).I tried it with the following code :div.text { transform: rotate(-90deg); position: absolute; font-family: "Six Caps"; text-align: right; font-size: 9em; text-transform: uppercase; z-index: 1; top: 0; Left: 0;}However, I quickly realized that simply PLACING oversized text is a nightmare, because it'll explode out of the containing div in unpredictable ways (half the word will bust out of its container; and not in any particular direction, either -- all 4 of them).So I had to compensate by changing this :div.text { transform: rotate(-90deg); position: absolute; font-family: "Six Caps"; text-align: right; font-size: 9em; text-transform: uppercase; z-index: 1; margin: 148px 0 0 -100px;}This pushes the overflow back into view on top, while eliminating a margin I couldn't find any explanation for on the left. When I add a word to the personal dictionary, it is not retained. Using "ignore all" retains the word for the remainder of the current spelling check, but then I have to use "ignore all" the next time the word is in a document.Knowing where the personal dictionary is stored might be helpful, but I don't see information about file locations in Preferences. I'm hoping that somebody else has solved this problem and can provide guidance. Thought I was going mad. Has anyone else had there hosting service revert one of their websites to a previous version WITHOUT informing them??Could not work out what was going on because parts on the live site resembled nothing like what was on the locally built site which was the last version updated. Even the 'include' folder on the remote server was missing. Of course I updated a page on the local server and uploaded it but huge parts of the design/content were missing UNTIL I eventually realised there was no include folder on the remote server. On closer inspection I then noticed some of the text was different, css styles different, obviously which had been updated at a later stage. I have zero idea what went on without my knowledge, whether there was a hack or meltdown that the host was too embarressed to inform me of but this is unacceptable, right?Any one else have a similar hosting horror story?

I am reading your new book Dreamweaver For Dummies and saw in your book that you discuss WordPress and CS5. I purchased CS5 to work with WordPress and have yet to successfully get it working with my various WordPress installations. I am not a real developer and would prefer to not create a local test environment but to work with Dreamweaver directly with the installation I have on a hosting account with GoDaddy.It is close to working, but I get an error message about the connection to the database. The FTP access works properly. I can sync the files. Does this have anything with logging into the SQL database? Can you point me to some troubleshooting tips for the initial connection to WordPress and Dreamweaver? Everything I find, read, or watch makes it look so simple and nonproblematic. . . Thanks
