So I work with web maps and the various doodads and such in that realm. At the moment I am working with something called a GeoForm.GitHub - Esri/geoform-template-js: GeoForm is a configurable template for form based data editing of a Feature Service.It's basically a form, created in Dojo with ESRI's JS API, that includes a map whereby the enduser can place a dot on a map that is connected to the formfields filled out in the 'FORM' part of the GeoForm.So... I have a folder where this web app goes. It's an internal-only web app so I can't share it, which is why I am prepping my question with so many details.I just discovered that in order to get some custom functionality I would need to edit some internal, major files. Obviously I don't want to edit the live site, so I copied the folder it is in. I used the Dreamweaver interface. I pasted that folder beside itself. I renamed it. It doesn't work.Not only does the copied site NOT work, but several of the files are not visible in the Dreamw
I have a client who wants me to include a 'confirmation of subscription' email for a newsletter and other information, which is fine, I can do that to make sure the email used at the time of the request belongs to the person that actually owns the email.So what's the difference because they also have, as does many other websites, a general enquiry form. So I could fill out the enquiry form using someone elses email and have a bunch of unsolicited crap sent to them.Ive seen subscription forms use the confirmation workflow to establish the email address used belongs to the person who instigated the subscription request BUT I dont think Ive yet come across an enquiry form which uses it - can you confirm you sent this enquiry......click here, maybe someone has?Humm....any thoughts?Os
Hey again, I didnt want to post anything else here cuz people have helped me so much already.Ive been trying for hours to figure this out, I got it working before but now its suddenly not working The email form doesn't work anymore This is supper annoying as this is how my clients reach me. I dont know how many lost emails I have Anyway, the email form used to work, and now it just doesn't. A few years ago I put some styling inside <style> tags in my html document to test some things and they wound up staying there without getting transferred to the .css document. Now I'm trying to edit them or remove them but they're grayed out. They are overriding anything I put in the .css file. So I'm stuck! The document uses a template and I have very little experience with DW templates and uneditable areas, but the styling does not appear to me to be inside an uneditable area. 1- How to make these areas editable?2- If that can't be done, how to fix the problem another way?The code is below. I want to Install the latest DW 2018.1 (I'm on 2017.5), but my Creative Cloud app doesn't mention the update at all; it didn't do that with 2018.0 either.What can I do to get DW 2018.1 installed? I want Bootstrap 4 support.2018.1 was released in March; 2018.0 in October of last year. I'm surprised my CC app doesn't 'see' it.Thanks.Raf
When I want to change something about Properties Inspector in Split Mode in Dreamweaver CC, Dreamweaver always freezes for a short time. It takes about 10 to 20 seconds until a change is possible. Example: Select Text in Code view, click into LINK in the Properties Panel and it freezes. I make the change and will change the TARGET and it freezes again. I have already updated the preferences and my PC runs under WIN 10 PRO with I7 processor and 64 MB RAM. Are there others with the same problem and how could the solution look like?
Dreamweaver works fine, went to server and pass word protected two sub domains. also changed server Login ID but kept same ID login. Worked fine, now I cannot get Connected. There may be new rules. but I have 2015 dw, and 8.1 win, cannot upgrade and do not want too. I have an old pc that quit working and want to put my1997-2000 macromedia dreamweaver 4 fireworks4 studio on my newer pc with windows 7 pro. I only have the two pcs and when i get the wizard to the serialization page and fill it out the "next" button is grayed out and wont continue. I have a virtual machine for xp installed on the windows 7 pro and tried to install it there and the same problem happened with the wizard. please help, i need to do my yearly website updates. I run a rental business and the calendar needs clearing etc.
I have been reading a lot of posts on this forum, about Muse EOL, Bootstrap 3/4, Flexbox and would like to know of some good resources for learning clean, efficient HTML/CSS that will do some if not all of what can be accomplished in Bootstrap, Flexbox, etc. without having to depend on a bunch of extra fluff. I'm currently using Bootstrap 3, but want to continue learning more and don't want to be tied into any specific program where I might have to completely rebuild a site. As mentioned in some posts, books rapidly become outdated. Maybe possible, I don't know but thought I would ask.Thanks,John

I am trying to create a dynamic link from excel to dreamweaver and all the help I find says to select things that are not there. So my question is how do I link the values from excel into a cell in dreamweaver?
In preferences, I have "Update links when moving files" set to Prompt. I have tried all kinds of things including uninstalling and reinstalling and it just don't work for me. It does not prompt or update any links in any related files. Any suggestions?
When i use Dream Weaver to write code for my website, in the css file it won't respond to any changes that i make to the padding on any of my images. yesterday i saved it and it looked fine but that was because it wasn't actually responding to the padding changes that i made and it made everything i did wrong. i'm still unable to solve this issue.
I have a client's site with over 800 articles, originally done in .asp using server-side includes. Recently I updated Dreamweaver to 2018 cc which no longer shows these includes. I've spent several days trying to figure out the best way to deal with this problem. A good portion of each page is built using these, in particular a very long list of stories that uses an extension that creates a tree menu that opens and closes - way too much code to have on every page.I've figured out a way of doing it with jquery, but I still can't see anything unless I'm in live view, and I have to keep uploading the css over and over to see it. I'm finding it difficult and very slow to work this way.Would it be better for me to go back to an earlier version of Dreamweaver that allows me to see them (this seems like problems for some future day), or convert the whole site to php so I can use that type of include? Or some other method?Also, I'm not a coder, I'm a designer, so it can't be too complex.Thanks

I just updated Dreamweaver and it was working for 10 minutes or so before the application stopped responding all together. Now every time I open it, after a minute or so it stops responding. I uninstalled and reinstalled the application and that did not help. I'm not very good with computers, just taking a web design class for my degree. Any help would be appreciated! My laptop is a dell with windows 7 on it if that helps.
Hello, this is probably are really simple question, but I cant for the life of me figure out how to center this specific thing in my website. Ive tried going into the CSS styles and choosing text-center, but nothing seems to do it, its really annoying.This is my site: theosparks.co.ukin the 'Me' section, the heading just does not want to center, any ideas? The same thing happens with the 'around the web' section at the bottom, the links are not centred and they are aligned to the left. How do I fix these issues?Any suggestions would be much appreciated, thank you,Theo.
I have been able to cloak files in my local site before. I have some cloaked files still. However, no the options to Cloak or Uncloak a file are greyed out (not selectable). I have gone into Cloaking-->Settings and disabled and re-enabled the "Enable Cloaking" checkbox but this did not help.Why am I no longer able to cloak files within my Dreamweaver site?I am using Dreamweaver CC2007.1 release

I recently had a crash on my computer and re-installed Dreamweaver (fresh install) on my new computer.I feel like it has been forever and I can't seem to remember if there is a specific setting for this...So now that I have a fresh install on a new computer that has never had the CS software on it, whenever I open up Dreamweaver, the Design View does NOT look like a true WYSIWYG! ... can anyone quickly help me find the setting or whatever I am missing? I am looking at the answers and The directory string that Dreamweaver says contains the problem with the Designer file doesn't exist. A search of my hard drive doesn't find it. The program worked on Thursday. I can't delete/copy or replace a file I can't locate. Any ideas?
Hello to all. I'll give a brief description and use pictures to the situation:I'm using a Bootstrap template that has a Google Maps location script near the bottom. However, it is not working. I have no problem removing it - and perhaps trying another in the near future. One concern is will it leave space when I remove it because this is what shows as of now -> Once it's removed as long as space is enclosed that would be fine.Second, as I check all the Source Codes I noticed how the last 7 javascripts (.js's) are all "remote file(s) and cannot be edited".EACH of those 7 are all Google Maps-related , so they are in the way and online so I don't care if they can't be edited...but I want to know if/how I can get them outta there??? As you can see above it reads I can't do anything with it as they are not in any of "my" source files. Which like I said is fine. I just want it gone from my DW page and maybe find another way/source to put in another Google Maps or maps source. (if anybody
