Dreamweaver

My site was originally created in Dreamweaver in 2000 and I've been updating it ever since using Contribute https://woodsshop.com/ I know nothing about coding whatever and need someone to update my site and maybe redesign it a bit.Is this the place to look for someone or is there a Dreamweaver Jobs board somewhere?

Version 18.0 was supposed to  turn off Description tool tips. The Beta version did but the full build did not. If I hover my cursor over anything in the upper toolbar then a description of that function pops up (see first screenshot). That wouldn't be so bad but the hated Press command key to see table structure is back (see second screenshot). What gives Adobe? You get rid of it in the Beta release and then put it back in the full release.Unhappy user.Alan

I was wondering why the .cfm extension file type is no longer included with Dreamweaver.  I know it is not a recent change, but wondering why it happened?I want to make updates to some legacy code, and have not seen much support for ColdFusion via the .cfm,  in DW.Is there a newer method or format for creating files that interact with ColdFusion servers?Are .cfm files being maintained or converted to something else by developers?Thanks for any and all help you can provide.

Is there any way I can place a small .jpg on a larger one and render the smaller image clickable (that is, linked to a third page?)  I was hoping I could link layers, but that is apparently not possible.Thanks.Mike]

Just updated to Dreamweaver CC 2018 and can not find a way to hide the Visual Media Queries bar while in Live View or Split Live/Code view (The green, blue, purple, etc horizontal bars above the rulers in live view).From Use Media Queries to design responsive sites in Dreamweaver it says "To hide the bar, use the Toggle Visual Media Queries bar in the toolbar." But I don't know what part is the toolbar. I see Window > Toolbar but it only has 3 options; Document, Standard, and Common. Here is how my layout looks:If someone could show a screenshot of where the option is to hide the Visual Media Queries bar that would help me the best. Thank you.

I looked around the forum site for this question, but found on discussions related to this.I've noticed that when I go to my browser to view my latest changes, that when I return to Dreamweaver, all of the pages I was working on are gone. The only one left is the one I was working on before I changed windows. Any comments / solutions related to this issue.

Hello,I just started using DreamWeaver CC 2015 and I am having some trouble. When I open a page from a previous version sometimes Design View is available and sometimes only Live View. How do I get Design View on all pages? For example when I want to use Check Spelling from Commands on the menu bar it says only available in the Design View, but I can't figure out how to get there.Thanks!

Hi!My problem is the next:I have a map with hot spots above an unique image, but if I preview in Safari 11.0.1 show me the blue rectangle around the hot spot, and in Firefox 56.0.2 don't appears, I want to DON´T APPEARS IN SAFARI TOO.How remove this rectangle? I've have exported my muse project and then used Dreamweaver to edit local links as I have manually changed the file structure of my project. I have just upgraded to DW CC 2017, to find that my CF comments are no longer correctly displayed (grayed out), but only when it contains other comments embedded. This must be a bug, because regular CF comments ARE grayed out, when they do not have other comments embedded.  By not allowing cf commented text (when it contains other cf comments), it is nearly impossible to tell what is commented out, and what is not?   I have had to go back to DW 2015, since DW2017 is not usable at all, if you have small amounts of CF code.  I am not using CF builder, and will not, since I don't do that much cf coding.Here is an example:screenshot of DW2017 useless handling of CF commenting:screenshot of DW2015 handling of CF commenting (pink is my commented-out color):Adobe has so disrupted and ruined the flow of using it's products.  DW use to be a great all around tool, not I don't know why you would use it??  Our company used to have 27 subscriptions to DW.  Not we'

In previous versions, including Dreamweaver 2016, if you used Coldfusion commenting it would highlight the commented code in bright yellow (so you knew it was disabled). It appears now it is not highlighting properly. I was thinking it may have something to do with the document type being set to HTML but when I looked for an option to change it to Coldfusion, there is no option to do so.I will try to explain my issue. If I had some code that included coldfusion comments...I could comment out sections of code in my document (including lines with comments) by simply wrapping everything with a surrounding comment tag. You can still do this, but the highlighting doesn't show all the code enclosed in the outer wrapping comment tag as being disabled. This makes it very confusing when you are trying to test and debug sections that you have commented out.See screenshot. I read that this issue was fixed and downloaded the pre-release as told by staff. It worked great for 3 days and nowis giving the same problems as before. Can you please tell why this is happening so it can be prevented? Or can you please credit my account as i am paying monthly for broken software?

I have a transparent png but it doesn't show as transparent in dreamweaver or any browser.When I roll over it in the code it shows as correctly transparent in the code preview but always has a background in the browsers.Can't find any answers to this.  I tried adding a css transparent background to it but that doesn't do anything either.

I did an update on Windows 10 and now my DW CS3 says it will stop working after 5 days if I don't activate. I have read the forum discussions of this problem. I uninstalled, got a new serial number, reinstalled by clicking the online link. Between the two I ran the Creative Cloud cleaning tool which said "no Dreamweaver found to clean".  I've never been asked for the new serial number and reinstalling only gives me the original DW with original serial number and same warning that it will stop working in 5 days. I've done this four time with same results. I have verified between installation that the DW is no longer on my laptop. I have two days left in the 5 day period and use DW daily so don't want to lose it. Please tell me what to do next. Thanks. Dale

I recently opened a template file just to check it out. I noticed the dashed blue lines around the elements. Super Handy!! My question, how the heck do I turn those on? I'm still fairly new to coding and would find that little feature super handy!!
