Dreamweaver

I have created a simple animated file in the latest (CC 2018) version of Adobe Animate and published it into an OAM package. In Dreamweaver (CC 2018) I select "insert>HTML>Animated Composition" and NOTHING happens. I have tried this several times to no avail. Can someone provide an answer for this please??

I have 5 small pictures that all need to display symmetrically spaced on the same row of a page. Each picture will have one word printed beneath it representing the pictures. What is the best way to construct this setup as far as the div structure?I assume create a table is not a good idea as this would not be a responsive design.

Hi all,Am just starting out in web design and following some online tutorials to help me get the hang of things. The tutorials I have been looking at are based on CS3, but I have the most up to date version which has a few differences and was wondering if anyone could help me with a few. On the tutorial video with CS3 the guy applies a style to one of the data cells in a table which automatically creates a style, which he then applies to the rest of the cells just by selecting that style. But when I do this on the most recent version of Dreamweaver it does not automatically create a style and therefore I have gone through and manually changed the style in each data cell. I was wondering if there was something extra I needed to do to create a style? or if I had maybe missed something?Hope this is clear enough for someone to help me Sarah

Just like many people in the past years, one of our graphic designer is experiencing a really annoyng problem: while working on her files the changes are not applied, even if the source preview shows them. The "Save" command is greyed out and pressing Ctrl-S does nothing. DW is up-to-date (2017.5) - but the issue always occurred with CS5.5 - and the files are located on a network share (Not FTP). Additionally, when this happens another symptom of erratic behaviour is that clicking on an item in the WYSIWYG window does not select the related code in the source window (Does make sense?).Cheers!Luca

I'm having problems setting up a new custom bootstrap document: if I try to enter my own screen sizes, I get this error.To make this worse, when I try to go to the troubleshooting, the link throws up another error saying "Unable to display help. Connect to the internet and try again." I am connected to the internet!Any help would be appreciated.ThanksDavid

I am setting up my first Bootstrap carousel (slideshow) and am having trouble setting the size of the images, particularly the verticals (where the height is greater than the width). How do I style the images so that they are all contained the same size window? What element do I style - center-block, carousel-inner, item, or what?ThanksKevin from Cambridge

I have an issue using Dreamweaver CS6 in Windows 10: The scaling of the annotation, menus and especially the property field does not work. The text and all items are displayed so small that the application becomes useless. I changed the "Scale and Layout" setting in the Windows 10 Display setting menu but this did not help the matter (even after re-starting the computer, as suggested).Does anyone have a solution for this issue? I had Dreamweaver CS6 before I subscribed to Creative Cloud, but now that I've canceled my CC subscription I can't open CS6.  It keeps trying to verify my CC subscription.What can I do to open CS6 independently again?  I tried contacting customer service through the Adobe website, had 9 tabs open at one point and just kept running around in circles.

I have created an animation in Adobe Animate. Upon importing it into my Dreamweaver page, it automatically runs on loading. What do I have to do make it only play when selected?Jim

My Dreamweaver (2018 version) tutor, is resident on the other side of the world, and has asked me to send a zipped folder of my Dreamweaver website. But I have been racking my brains trying to work out how this can be accomplished.  I have found the Windows 10 File Manager (with my thanks to the experts!) but it only contains the images, html, js and style files - see below. There is no actual Dw file that can be used to open the site in the  Dreamweaver program. I have a defined site local folder; it's on my desktop and it shows up when I go into 'manage sites' and track back through the set up process.  I thought I might be able to 'Save as'  into my Creative Cloud files folder but when I open the CC folder there is no Dw folder icon.  It works with Muse so why but not with Dreamweaver?  The 'Save as' will only allow me to save the index.html file and not the entire site.  I attach 4 relevant images:

When I upload a ton of files at once, the FTP/Background File Activity window shows me what's uploading until it reaches about 1000 files. Then it just freezes. The files still keep uploading, I just don't get to see what they are. This has been going on for at least a year or so. I tried resetting my preferences and deleting the cache file. It happens on any website I work on and does the same thing when I'm downloading. Any ideas? Murray?

Hi all,I'm trying to set up GIT for a Wordpress project using DW.So far I've got as far as setting up GIT on my Mac and creating the site and initialising the GIT repo.However, nothing seems to be trackedIf I hit the select all button in the GIT panel nothing happens. If not, suggestions?A bit longer: I have a couple of clients that just want to do quick updates on their own and not have to submit website change requests to me. They have NO webdesign experience, which is why I built the sites. What they are looking for is a way to edit information quickly on their own and not have the pages negatively impact their SEO efforts.Thanks in advance,-Bill

Whenever I rollover the url it says image not found.  Doesn't matter how I select the image (site root, document, brown, manually).  I have the proper site root, it just won't link.#cover { background: #222 url(/../img/stars.jpg) center center no-repeat; background-size: cover; color: white; height: 100%; text-align: center;}I REALLY hate this program.

Any edit in "CSS designer" or "inline editor" just changes the rendered css instead of the source, the less/sass file(s):So any change to the css will be overwritten faster than you can say "save the less/sass file".Is there any plan to fix this essential design flaw in Dreamweaver?

Not sure if this is possible but in DW 2015, if you double click a word it highlights all instances of that word whereas in 2018 it underlines them (see below). Does anyone know if its possible in 2018 to highlight rather than underline? Have been hunting high and low to see if I can find anything but so far nothing...ThanksJamie

I bought Adobe Creative Cloud last year. I used program Dreamweaver CC all the time, but today it appeared in trial version - I have bottom BUY NOW. I don't know why, because this apps worked before. The rest program from Adobe Creative Cloud works correct. Can anyone tell me what happened? And how can I repair it?

i am currently setting up a "claytons" E-commerce site, where the shopping cart would be an email order system only. If I use the current templates available provided by Dreamweaver 2015 cc, with "add to cart" buttons already provided below responsive images set up in thumbnails, is there also a backend provided with the template, or do I still have to set up a PHP script to act as the shopping cart which reads the user's entries on the html template page?I guess I am looking for a comprehensive guide as to how to make the standard e-commerce templates work. I want an information sheet that has all the keyboard shortcuts on it. It is laid out like a computer keyboard and shows you the keys to press to use the keyboard instead of going up to the 'file' panels.

I've been updating our website today and it's getting all messed up so I'm wondering is there a way to go back to last night on dreamweaver so all of the errors are not there?
