When I want to create a brache, it gives a error that it cannot connect to NodeJS. And to restart dreamweaver. When restarting, it does not resolve the issue. Also restarting my mac did not resolve it.Tried to remove my site, clone it again.. same issue's...The message also say: ExpectedError: Error: [object Object}Using DW 18.0 10136 Build on MacOS Sierra 10.12.6
Hi I have just updated to the latest DW app and the font I use for coding (Source Code Pro) is no longer available to use in the preferences > Fonts tab. I have checked I still have the font installed, which I do, but it's just no longer available to use in the list. This is very frustrating as I find this font is the clearest for coding and have always used it.
I just upgraded to this version of DW and every time I start the application it is opening slightly less than fullscreen. Does the have to do with the new Multi Monitor feature as I cannot access the taskbar on my PC now?
I use Dreamweaver CC V. 2015I am trying to find an automatic or semi-automatic method to convert html/php etc. files in Dreamweaver to UTF8. Ideal would be a method with which I could convert all the files of a site automatically. My files contain:<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252">and are encoded with Europe occidentalI would change in"<meta charset =" utf-8 ">" with encoding utf-8I have already tried:Search replace all files in a site so that all files get this Meta tag: <meta charset =" utf-8 ">Does not work, since all files then contain this Meta tag, but the special characters ä, ü, ö, ß are coded incorrectly.I tried to save the procedure “change page properties” (CRTL + J> Encoding > utf-8) thought the history panel as a Dreamweaver command (Save as command). I would repeat quickly this command on all other files. Does not work, since I cannot save a pages property as a command. This is not possible in Dreamweaver. My m
I have a very simple "proof of concept" page that works OK, but at the top, in the header div, I have a photo floated left. I want to have text next to it, but for some reason the text breaks into separate sentences, and if there are more that 20-30 words, it starts to wrap underneath the photo. In the browser preview it looks OK, but I temporarily posted it online it online and it looked awful. I also tried to create a margin between the photo and text but failed. Here's the code. Please overlook the clumsy structure and lack of a style sheet. I haven't done a site in a few years, so I'm having to relearn. Once I get the bugs worked out, I'll clean it up and create a proper style sheet. Thanks<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"><html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /><meta name="keywords" content="24

As a designer, my PHP knowledge is limited to what I picked up over the years that could help facilitate my process. For me, this means pretty much just using includes and strings. The index files would therefore look something like this (simplified) :<?php include ('header.php'); ?><?php include ('custom.php'); ?><?php include ('footer.php'); ?>It's not ideal — a more common solution would probably have the url insert the custom content into a single-file wrapper (ex: domain.com/article.php?file=93840923) — but I have no idea how to do that; while this is within my limited realm of understanding. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but if I want to include strings to define header info that is specific to one page (ex: <title><?php echo $title; ?></title>) then I shouldn't define $title; in the custom.php page, because the server reads the includes in order... correct? The head never gets to read the definitions before it has to render them if they're in the
Is it just me, or is anyone else having problems with the Find and Replace options? Ignore White Spaces defaults to "on", but I can't get Match Whole Word, Match Case or the other checkboxes to stay checked. (DW 2017.5 on a pc)Maybe a reinstall...?Thanks!
Previous versions of DW allowed me to use search and replace on a specific tag. Example:Find the tag "td" with attribute "colspan"Remove attributeDid this not make it into the new version? Thanks, Patty

Preran I'm seeing something sort of strange for an "update" to CC 2017...Looks fairly "DW CC2018" to me??
I just installed Dreamweaver CC 2017 on a Windows 7 machine (I had been using the previous client, so this was not a fresh installation).I went to check the Preferences (Edit --> Properties) and Page Properties (File --> Page Properties) and both windows are so large that I cannot view any of the preferences on the screen. Relative to my monitor (27"), the windows would be approximately five to six feet wide if they were physical squares. There is no way to use either of these, and probably any other popup window like this, until I figure out what is wrong. My resolution is 1920 x 1080, and I had zero issue with the previous installation of Dreamweaver CC. I've rebooted my machine and tried all the mundane little things I could think of. This is a work laptop, so I don't have complete control over it and my options are somewhat limited (I can't uninstall/install the application without going through the help desk for admin rights).Does this sound at all familiar? You can't even se
HiWhenever I select an option in Dreamweaver that opens up a window (like Page Properties for example) it opens it up with a default size that is much bigger than my screen, and I can't access the "Ok" or "Cancel" buttons. It also screws up tutorial pop ups, and the menus on the side seem to not correctly recognize my mouse's position, for example if I hover the mouse on the 4th item of the list, it'll light up the first item of the list. Examples bellow

I cannot submit my contact form using my PHP code, along with my HTML form to my email when I execute this code? All I get is the "echo" of "there is an error" when submitting the formEverything has been uploaded onto my Azure Remote Server and both documents below are in the root directorTo be honest, my patience is running very thin with this. I'm so sick to death of ripping my hair out trying to work out why this is deciding to act like a disobedient child and now like a piece of software. Nothing I do ever works and I'm about to throw this computer against the wall. So save a computer from getting destroyed. Thanks<form action="/handler_mail.php" method="post"> <div class="formHeader textBlock">Book a casting</div> <div class="formCaption textBlock">Please use this form to book a casting with me. </div> <hr> <label for="firstName">Firstname</label> <input class="formInput" type="text" name="firstName" placeholder="First Name"/>&l

So I've developed this website which looks really good, except compared to other websites, mine just looks a bit grainy and "pixeley". I appreciate this will vary depending on the type of screen you're viewing it from but is there a standard practice (i.e. CSS attributes) to fix this at all? Much appreciated. Todd
CSS Grid is included in Edge 16 that was released today as part of the Windows 10 Fall Creators update.
I am a photographer and I last used Dreamweaver in 2014 to showcase my work using basic HTML and CSS. A little bit of off the shelf JavaScript. Nothing too fancy. I found Dreamweaver frustrating to work with - especially the CSS interface - even though all the manuals and tutorials were bragging about how easy it is to use.I just went back to Dreamweaver after a long absence and downloaded the 20`17 version. I was taken aback to see how different it is. What does that tell you about a program that changes so much from version to version? What does that say about the older versions? I don't see those changes in other Adobe programs like Premier and Photoshop. One thing has not changed - Dreamweaver still calls itself the "industry leader."I would like to give Dreamweaver 2017 a try since I have the CC subscription. Also, I hate to give up on something. My websites are simple - a page layout with a few videos and slide shows thrown in.What do you think is the best way to lear
What to make of certain businesses opting out of a website? For example, I have had a few dentists turn down a new website offer. Is this a growing trend? It just seems absurd that someone would want to do business without a website in 2017.
Having designed a site in Dreamweaver, I previewed it in Chrome and in other browsers it is exactly as in Dw design. Then I published the site; The result in Edge, Firefox, Internet Explorer and Opera is exactly as it is in the previews. But in Chrome there are certain changes to styling.Help needed to learn where to start looking for the issue which results in such changes.
