Dreamweaver

I know html quite well, and css reasonably well. I built my website more than 20 years ago, and always loved Dreamweaver. But since a half year or so images will not show when I upload the page. It started with pages which I uploaded before uploading the image, but it still worked fine when I first uploaded the image and only afterwards the page. Now the images don't show at all. There is no difference if I upload the pictures first or after the page. Online I only see the little squares. After a few days they appear, but I need them right away. When I want to show a customer the paintings he/she asked for, I have to show them immediately. Is it Dreamweaver which doesn't work right, or is it a glitch of browsers? It is identical in all browsers, so it is not just one browser. That looks to me as if Dreamweaver causes it. Anyone knows of this problem?Lotti

I'm trying to embed PHP code inside an HTML page with a .html file extension. If I look at the local file using MAMP with a browser, it displays correctly. However, Dreamweaver refuses to parse the PHP content properly when it's located in an HTML file. Is there someway to enable this, like modifying a .htaccess file on a real server to accomplish the same thing?

Colleagues code displays fine but when I open same file some characters are displayed one per line to far right of display window.I am using split screen. Have tried "apply source formatting" and "word wrap". Preferences are the same between 2 computers. Thanks

We have many different corporate websites that need to be built for financial services and consulting. We want to launch live proof of concepts and then migrate to a more full featured platform in parallel, there are four groups of websites however have not yet decided whether to separate the installs or group them all together, it depends on the product. We were thinking the live POC Muse and production AEM, but the question is the themes and content integration times, we are looking at apple.com quality however on speaking with partners it is all over the place, so really don't have a lot of confidence in their honesty. Hi! I am a new developer and trying to code a simple online registration page - I have made a form with fill-in text boxes for each section of my form I wish someone to register to my page with - first name, last name, email, username, password, and a submit button.I am following a youtube tutorial to make a online registration and "sign in/sign out" site, and I have set up a myphp database to go along. Here is my issue - in the tutorial the man is using an older and much-different version of Dreamweaver and in the tutorial he states to go the 'bindings' tab for the form and then select the option to 'save the data'. I do not have a bindings tab on the right-sidebar where he has it and I am wondering if it is buried somewhere in the options or I am doing something completely wrong. One thing I don't have is my Dreamweaver attached to a server in the 'site options' so I am wondering if this may be the issue.I apologize for my terms as I am new to coding and am unfamiliar with the jargon

Please help me connect my files to the server.  I see my local files, the ftp is correct, but I'm not seeing the connection.  Can someone guide me?

Is there a way to test your site for android devises without actually owning an android devise?

I have been converting Powerpoint slide shows to a Presenter slide show and then opening this with Dreamweaver.  Recently the Presenter output has not been opening with Dreamweaver 4CS.  (I keep getting a message to enable JavaScript, but I've done this and still no success.)  I updated Presenter and Powerpoint upon the advice of Adobe chat staff.  Still no success.  I realize that Dreamweaver 4CS is not supported but am reluctant to use the cloud based newest version without some certainty that it will work.  Is there a compatibility issues using Dreamweaver 4CS opening Presenter 11 output?  If so, will Dreamweaver 6CS open the Presenter output?  In short, how do I overcome this problem since my entire web site depends upon the answer?

Hello,Ive been told that somehow the template I created in dreamweaver affects the css that controls BC modules, my site currently does not look like the one i created in DW althought I have upload the newest version. I have been playing ping pong between BC techs and DW and BC said that they cant help me with code, I hope you guys can assist me. Here is the code I have for the template. Hello all,At the moment I have a strange thing going on.I have created a <div> that is 1104 px wide, and is centred in this way :#pmetxt {  width: 1104px;  height: auto;  min-height: 100%;  margin-left: -552px;  left: 50%;  position: absolute;  z-index: 10;  top: 0px;}When I use a browser it centres right and all content is visible.But when I use an iPad or iPhone it als centres nice, but on the left and right side, partly of the content is cut off.I can scroll to the right, and then I can see the rest on the right side, but not on the left side.The link to my test page is : http://pme-tecnica.nl/test_siteIs there a way to solve this?CheersKoen

I recently bought a new PC and have Windows 10. I backed up all my files from my old computer and downloaded them to my new computer. I installed Dreamweaver. However, I don't know how to get my local website files loaded onto Dreamweaver (or even where to find them.) so that I can update my website.  I have only a pretty basic knowledge of Dreamweaver for a pretty unsophisticated website (oamasters.com). I just noticed that the latest version of XAMPP has replaced MySQL with MariaDB, which I have never heard of. To my knowledge, both Joomla and Wordpress continue to use MySQLi. I supposed I could just continue to use older versions of XAMPP but I find this disappointing.

I’m trying to figure out my way around Dreamweaver and I have some issues I can’t quote figure out, primarily related to modifying text.On the right of side of Dreamweaver there is a “Properties” panel that appears to allow me to adjust things like font color, size, family, alignment, etc.  But the options are greyed out and I can’t figure out how to make them active.  If I have a section of text that I want to change, I highlight the text (ensuring the orange box is active so I can actually modify the text, but the different parameters remain greyed out.  If I go in and change the actual code (text-align for example), the selected parameter in the “properties” sidebar will then change but I still can’t edit the text by clicking on the item I want to change.How do I make that active?I also read that I can change the text for the entire page by going to file-> page properties and modifying the Appearance (CSS) section.  However when I make changes there nothing ch

I created a website using Dreamweaver CS3 many years ago, which continue to look fine on my older computer windows XP.  Yea, it all sounds antique. It looked fine on my browser when launched and still does. [ I later acquired CS4 but did not use it. ]I want to add new images and text and preserve much of the original website. When I look at my website on newer computer operating systems, the text areas 'drift' from the original appearance viewed on my computer, meaning titles overlap, text is not justified, etc. I now have a refurbished PC with windows 7.  Do I need to completely rebuild and if so do I need the latest version of the now Adobe software?   Any suggestions?

Would it be 1) possible, and 2) relatively harmless for me to replace all grays on a website with 50% alpha black (via rgba values)? The reasoning being that a 50% black should mix better with most site bg colors than a solid neutral gray will. They would look identical on solid white, though.Are rgba values that safe to use across the board, I guess is the question I'm really asking.

I'm having issues with my DWT and get the error message:There is an error at line 689, column 63 (absolute position 30964) of "C:\wamp\www\tsystem.com\pages\our-solutions\index.php": unexpected end of file.  I really need to resolve these issues can anyone assist me or point me in the right direction.

Hey there!After finally upgrading to CS6 I want to restore my beloved keyboard shortcuts in dreamweaver.As I can't just copy the old settings in the app support I need help, for the proposed way of configuring it doesn't seem to work.The most important shortcut in my daily use is the one to "Select Parent tag", which doesn't have a default shortcut programmed.Can anyone please give me a step by step advice on how to do this? Following the given instructions didin't set the shortcut and I don't know why…Thanks a lot!max 

Ok so I have an image(top) in my portfolio scaled it weird, but I scaled the image down (bottom)and it still looks the same

CTRL-C, CTRL-V, CTRL-S ... which I use all the time, have all stopped working in the design window both on the code side and the WSYWIG side. I *can* however CTRL-V into the field in the property box.  It's just in the design window.  I've tested on other applications and the keyboard short cuts all work fine. It's definitely isolated to DW CC.  Any ideas?Thanks!

I am trying to debug a page for someone because some bullet points are not working and indenting as they shouldThe site is commercial and I am NOT plugging anything but the page addess is http://www.essentialfinance.net/events/booking2.aspx?index=1195Essential Finance - Event Booking The bit in question is the part where the bullet points are in the margin.When I view the page source in Mozilla or Firefox the lines simply break with a <BR> at the end of the line "The tutorial will include:"When I save the page a <\Span> moves up four lines to break the span before I want it to.I have included stylesheets for the UL LI bits to give a 20Px left margin but it's not working.The </SPAN> should be staying under the close of the </LI> </UL> bitWhat is happening?Thank you in advance for any feedback.Terry
