Dreamweaver

It is something that is not as it was. When I do something in CSS Design panel, nothing happens in LiveView. If I use reload nothing happens. I must save stylesheet before using realod.When I use Inserter panel to enter the Bootstrap elements must I often click on the elements two or three times before anything happens.The first version of 2017, I had trouble as written here, but it was fixed in a small upgrade. Then came 2017.0.1 who set Dreamweaver back in.If there are problems between MacOS 10.12.2 and Dreamweaver I do not know, but I work with many people who have the same problem.Anyone know if there's something new about how to resolve this issue, or whether Adobe aware of the problem and resolve it? Appreciate answer when this starts to get frustrating. Like Live View, when it works. Nice to tweak elements.

I installed DW 2017 but am finding it beyond my Web 1.0 skills. I cannot seem to locate the 2015 version to reinstall. Can those two versions be installed together? When I installed the update it overwrote the old version.I am managing a fairly sizeable site. I assume Muse would not perform that function.I'll likely need to stick with DW 2015 until my skill set improves.

However, my hard drive went down and after installing a new hard driveand reinstalling Dream Weaver CS3 I found I needed to set my site upagain.  I used the same remoteconnectivity settings exactly the way they were before:Access: FTPFTP Host: ftp.explorationgeology.comHost Directory: /While this always worked before it does not work now.  However, using the program FileZilla and thesame information listed above I CAN access the FTP site successfully. Returning to web design after a 4-5 year absence, looks like I missed the Parallax Scrolling fad. I now need to incorporate the little bugger into what I'm building.While I don't know Javascript per se, I've been writing HTML/CSS and adapting existing JS scripts to my needs since '98. So I Googled the subject of Parallax Scrolling and as you might imagine, there's a lot of noise out there by now. And way more functionality (and bloat) than I need for this project. Maybe someone can point me to the correct piece of code and/or tutorial to help?I have a (fixed-size) round DIV with a bgr image that should be scrolling SLIGHTLY SLOWER than the rest of the page (when user is scrolling up or down) so as to create the illusion of depth. But I don't want the container itself to scroll more slowly. In other words, I want it to look like there was a hole punched in the site, so what's 'revealed' by the hole feels like it's an inch behind the screen. (Am I explaining this clearly enough?) And si

I have created a form in Dreamweaver for a customer. The form submit button is linked to their email so when someone fills it out it is emailed to them. Just recently when the submit button is pressed a "popup" appears that says "accounts" "first things first lets add your account."  I'm not sure why this popup is appearing and I would like to disable it. I have to create simple graphics for an eblast that will be emailed out using Microsoft Outlook. Will the html created by my design in Adobe Dreamweaver work for this purpose. I read different opinions in old articles dating back to 2013 but nothing from 2017. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

I can't get my div to 100% of the browser. I have tried it using an  image and using just a div. My navigation stretches fine, so can some please help me? Scenario:You have a CMS which easily allows you to enable / disable pages from public view (ie: not able to be found or crawled)...What I would like to know is if you create a separate specifically named folder outside of the CMS for, say, a custom microsite... and use the DNS to point to it - but you want to include robots.txt so that microsite does not get crawled / picked up by Google... will the robots.txt work in that structure?example: mysite.com/special-microsite/index.html   (with robots.txt inside the folder called 'special-microsite')I am concerned this would then block the entire site from getting crawled - including all the content in the CMS? Hello,I have used Dreamweaver CS3 for years. After installing it on a new PC I now have problems to upload files via the inbuilt FTP. DW connects to the hosting server and when transferring a new file it shows "transferring" and "file transferred", but there is nothing on the server and the new page does not load in the browser. Why?It works fine if I use an external FTP software, but not with the Dreamweaver FTP function. There is nothing wrong with the file/page name. I have tried to switch off the fire wall, but the problem is still there. I have searched the forum, but found nothing that helps. Please help me!

Would like a graphic file of a small icon to be within the same sentence between text based words. Don't want any wrapping of the line as soon as it comes to the img icon. The link to a chrome profile is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --profile-directory="Profile 5"the quotes are required. to run on the cmd line. Dreamweaver rejects this. When the Quotes are removed I still get a rejection.the error message is "The path does not specify an existing file". I built a exe file with the link and Dreamweaver accepted it but it opens a New Chrome profile without the html page I am creating in Dreamweaver. Does anybody have a workaround?This happens in the File-Preview in Browser-Edit Browser List.

Hallo an alle,hoffentlich kann mir jemand bei folgendem Problem aushelfen.Seit dem letzten grossen Update gibts im Dreamweaver offenbar ein neues "Feature", welches beim Eintipseln von Source ein PopUp direkt öffnet. (siehe Screenshot)Das ist zwar beim Hinzufügen von Attributen zu Tags hilfreich, aber in der Regel extrem nervig für mich. (Vorallem weil die Pfeiltasten den Cursor nicht mehr im Source Code, sondern in dem fensterl bewegen)Weiss zufällig jemand, wie man dieses deaktivieren kann?danke gleichmal,lg,Florian

Hi All,As promised, I am starting this discussion in response to the news that Bootstrap V4 will use flexbox as it's default for layouts, and will NOT support IE9.See - https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2259854Microsoft has now also dropped support for IE10. This means that unless you, your users, clients or company is paying a lot of money to Microsoft for extended support for IE10, no more updates will be released for that browser. This effectively means that over the next year it will also become an, 'also dead' browser.With the above marking a turning point for what is now possible in web design and development, html 5.1, css3 and modern javascript now becomes usable, but support for what is now possible is lacking. Not just in Dreamweaver but in most code editors and IDE's.Support for Flexbox and css grid layouts is missing, 90% of the html 5.1 specs don't have any real support, (picture/srcset, Base64 to name just 2) and modern JavaScript api support and development is so difficult

Hello everyone!I'm having an issue with my website where when I set an image for the background it only shows up as white. To go along with this problem, my Google Map on the home page (one that use to work, yet suddenly stopped) isn't showing at all. Would anyone here be able to pinpoint why these things aren't showing up anymore? When hand-coding, I hit the Enter key two times to create a single blank line between two blocks of code.Dreamweaver gives me an extra line, as if I had hit the Enter key three times. This puts TWO blank lines between my blocks of code.How do I make it stop doing this?

I am thinking about revamp my billiard table selling website into more graphical support and animated version. i want to add more additional features. my website is developed in wordpress. can i edit using Dreamweaver.   i get some suggestion that dreamweaver is much better and easier than any other webdevelopment tool.

How are people viewing their files when they are ready to test their work? Importantly, my file is pulling data from a database.In the past, I used F12 to send a file to a testing server. From there, my file could interact with a mySQL database and I could test my code. With DW2017, pressing F12 either opens a file in localhost or as a file(i.e. file:///C:/Users/...), but the file cannot interact with the mySQL database. To do so, I have to access the changed file on the testing server (i.e. have a browser open then refresh the browser using F5).Is there a better way?

Hi guys!, First off- I'm new to the forums, and much of my coding experience is self taught so my terminology may be off. I've had Adobe suite on and off through college and now I'm using it for work. I'm working on a drop-down menu for the front page of my company's new website. I have built drop-down menus before (using Dreamweaver's "drop-down button" feature), but since I need this drop down menu to be image based, I've built it using some of my own code/Dreamweaver's drop down content feature.The short of what is going on- is that my drop-down menu acts like it is "stuck". My coworker and I have both tried to fix this to no avail, and we need it working ASAP. I built the menu in a separate document, then used Illustrator's "Save for Web" feature to copy its' code- which I then pasted in the "Drop down content" div. The menu appeared, and just stays there.
