P: Support for Canon .CR3 Camera-matching Profiles

There is currently zero support for .CR3 camera color profiles in Lightroom... especially since the newer Canon cameras use a .CR3 format... making it difficult to get work done. Only slightly surprised that this wasnt planned for beforehand since there still isnt a 64bit version of the adobe programs that i can use on the most current version of MacOS.

@Rikk yes. And it seems like me a lot of ppl are very upset with the situation we find ourselves in, delivering work that isn’t 100% up to scratch. What is Adobes plan going forward here? Or should we all be learning to use capture which seems to be able to handle the new raw situation.

Adobe just needs a slap or to be brute forced in.

@Jerry_Syder I think it might be, the main point seems to be lost in translation, but I’ve commented and hopefully Adobe can sort this issue out. Such a joke.

Hey guys,

We’ve been using Lightroom and photoshop for over 15 years and loved our experience. But recently having upgraded to the Canon R5 camera our raws images are looking horrible in Lightroom. This is a huge problem that the colour profiles aren’t matching, and having an massive effect on our work and making us question if we can even keep on using Adobe products.
I’d like to know what the plan is going forward, and when/if these colour profiles will ever be released?

From A very worried user.

*zardoz Yes, please do what you can to put pressure on Canon and Adobe to resolve this. I know we're free in number, but the more of us the better!

*zardoz Yes! According to the senior engineer at Adobe, Canon is largely responsible for this due again at unnecessary proprietary raw behaviors. And tell them to stop doing this at every new camera release too. Nikon and others are equally at fault for this silly dance.
