I think It would be a good idea to have emotions/expressions triggered to audio input, I use Character Animator for content creation (twitch/youtube) but have camera turned off, since I move around a lot, and I think it would be a good idea/useful for the character to react with facial emotions such as when I scream from being scared to show a scared face or when I laugh show joy or happy or laughing, or when I yell in anger/frustration, to show anger emotion.
The ability to insert or delete frames in the timeline would be hugely beneficial. Currently, the attempt to insert additional dialogue or action in the middle of a scene is rather difficult. It requires all layers beyond the insertion point to be moved manually to make room for the new addition. And, the opposite is true if a portion is not required in the end and, subsequently, deleted. I believe the vast majority of Character Animator users would benefit from such a feature.
I would like to see more flexibility, within the application, to apply various compressor and noise gate settings, through some type of audio mixer, that works with stand alone microphones. Currently there are very limiting options to adjust such settings. I would like to see ratios, thresholds, gains, etc. built-in to the application.
Problem statement:In order to make the walk pose or head turner to work in Adobe Character Animator, I would need to draw artwork (Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Fresco or Adobe Illustrator) for multiple poses, which is where I struggle because I'm not a good artist. My Idea:Generative Ai - my idea is that just like how in Microsoft PowerPoint when you add text or shapes to the page, it will suggest layouts (see Create professional slide layouts with Designer), this option (to automatically suggest or guide design based on what user has currently drawn) would also be helpful when creating artwork for Adobe Character Animator. Idea 2 - use Generative Ai to suggest outline of where body parts should be drawn. Idea 3 - use Generative Ai to show guidelines for (adobe photoshop, adobe illustrator) for where I should be drawing my artwork within when making artwork for poses in a walk cycle.
Hello Adobe Character Animator Team,I am Gonca, a user residing in Turkey. I have been using the Adobe Character Animator application and I believe that the addition of a Turkish language option would be greatly appreciated. The inclusion of a Turkish language option would make the application more user-friendly for Turkish users, enhancing our ability to utilize the software more effectively. Moreover, introducing the Turkish language option would expand your user base, reaching a wider audience. Therefore, I kindly request that you consider our request to provide Adobe Character Animator in Turkish. As Turkish users, we believe that this update would greatly improve our experience with the software.Best Regards,
While I watched this video with interest, it doesn't address my specific needs. I would like the entire process of creating puppets and character animation to be achievable with my brand new expensive iPad Pro. I watched the video from my recliner with a cervical support pillow and is the reason I'm begging for this program to be on the iPad. I have several puppets and would like to be able to make my own library of characters and use whatever programming quickactions are available for me to apply to them.
I'm attempting to rig a character with a draggable arm that also dangles. While I've managed to make both functionalities work individually, I've encountered an issue. Currently, the arm returns to its rest position before applying physics, which results in unnatural movement. Ideally, the arm should both return to rest and dangle simultaneously, maintaining momentum. I initially assumed this functionality would be native to the program, but it appears not. Is there a workaround for this issue? Alternatively, could this feature be implemented? It seems like an oversight on Adobe's part
The bending elbows can be a amateurish approach at times. I'd like to see segmented arms and legs with IK.
I am using Character animator to create movement training videos for a medical device and using gtts to generate accompanying speech. I need to generate hundreds of videos in for each move from left or right and in different languages. Is there a way to have a script to build up these variations?
For head turns, as an alternative to the current Parallax options and layer swapping head views, it would be great if we could utilise the head views panel (front, 3/4 left etc etc) to manually set the positions of the face elements for each view, which, since it'd be referencing the same layers/artwork, head turns would be smooth and fully customiseable to our needs. So essentially, the head views, would kind of become 'keyframes' for the transforms of each of the face elements, and then in performance, the head would smoothly interpolate between each of those angles.
Feature Request: It would be great if Character orientation presets were included like laying down in a hospital bed, etc. I'm an eLearning producer at the V.A. and we often create animations for our various courses- many of which include patients lying in hospital beds, in wheelchairs, etc. The only way I think I can do this now would be to render out 2 separate animations and then composite them together with one rotated 90. Please let me know if there is an easier way to do this already- couldn't find a solution in the forums.
Is there a way to make a library of replays that can move from scene to scene but like bundled and attached to a puppet?
For more nuanced animation within replays, it would be great to be able to trigger a swapset asset at a specific point within a replay,For example, if you want a latched replay pose where a character points to the side, it might look best for the "default hand" to switch to the "pointing hand" and back at some point a few frames from the beginning or the end. At the moment, when recording, it's only possible to have this change right at the start of the replay and then back again at the start of the blend out.I'd like to be able to specify where, in the blend, the hands will change. It would also be great to just generally be able to change the hands a couple of times within that blend or to cycle layers/use keyframes animations etc. on the in/out blends.
I just want to say first that I think it's really great that starter mode is a thing, and thank you for making Character Animator accessible! I love the simple nature of starter mode, and I know this will be easier for my friends who don't animate to understand than using performer mode is right now.The only thing that I would like to see included in Starter Mode is the ability to use triggers outside of recording a take. This is mostly to do with live streaming, having access to those triggers outside of recording would mean that a live performance was possible in a limited way (eg: keying instead of NDI setup, no camera triggers, no draggers). However I also think it would be useful and educational to be able to press the triggers before recording to get the imagination going before recording a take.Hopefully this isn't asking too much of a free version. Thank you for considering my request.
I would like to use a greater variety of triggers while creating a project. now I can, depending on te character use a number of triggers which differ when using an other character. Is it possible to mak a database with all the triggers from all characters to choose from? it would be a great help.Thank you in advance
status quoReplays can be edited byonly replays without audio. It would improve usability if replays with audio could also be edited.Thank you in advance.
Hi, it would be great to make transform sliders under the Track Behaviours (the ones with persentage value now) larger and more convenient to drag. They are very important part of animation to move the subject in the scene. But they are a real pain right now to operate. I'm really crying for making them larger. So inconvenient as they are now (((.
Please add keyframe feature for arm legs moves and animation. without record mode. we cant do more animation with just mouse . so plz add keyframes feature for body movement also thanks.
I don't know if Adobe will read this or not but it would be great to have a voice-cloning, speech synthesis, and text-to-speech program to help creators clone their own voices to use for pod and YouTube videos. I use ElevenLabs to clone my voice for my Character Animator and videos. I teach middle school all day and after a day of yelling at kids to sit and be quiet, the last thing I want to do is talk for a video or podcast. I still have to do the work so something that's all in one is a big help.
I really like the app, hopefully in addition to the default characters. We can animate our own characters.
Pleasae bring back the shadow in character animator. that was useful to have it baked in the interface to use when wanted.
When clicking on aoudio imported in CH, you have to right click on it and got to reveal in finder to preview it. It would be great to have an auto audio preview or play button inn the interface.
Where is SDK documentation? CEP PANELS? JSX add-ons?
The new Replays feature is cool, but it is missing a “loop forever” mode. I want to hit a trigger (e.g. latched) and have the sequence play forever until the trigger is hit again. At present a replay plays once and stops and you have to trigger it again to get it to repeat, even when trigger latching is on.I assume a third replay mode of “loop forever while triggered” is wanted as a trigger mode. The usecase is an “idle” state for the puppet. You can record an idle state (fidgeting etc) and and some other states (“frustrated”, “angry”, “tired”, “bored” etc) then when live streaming you just hit a key to change the state and the puppet keeps acting in that way until the state changes again. The replay might be like 20+ seconds long so it does not feel too repetitive.
I am encountering difficulties in maintaining synchronization between audio and video in OBS, particularly when the CPU is under heavy load. I believe that routing audio through NDI to OBS might offer a potential solution to this issue, regardless of any potential latency concerns. Thank you for your support.
