Manage Updates screen now burried

In the Creative Cloud desktop app, why is the "manage updates" screen now hidden behind a contextual button that only appears when an installed app has detected an available update?

Bad user experience.

@reginad91270393 I also noticed that you're not seeing the "Home" tab in your account. Could you DM me the email address associated with your account?

Hi @reginad91270393 , I discussed with the team and our theory is that your IT admin has likely disabled access. Could you check with your IT group?

That's the one we used to have and there used to be a link at the top of the Apps window that said, "Upate Manager." It's not there anymore and my Apps options looks like this:

Sounds like it's this screen, perhaps? If so, this is still available in "Preference" > "Apps"

No, it looked more like a filter set where you could toggle on and off different apps that you wanted to automatically update but not to auto-update others. That was much more effective for everyone, it seemed.

Hi @reginad91270393 , we haven't removed any capabilities to manage updates. Is this the view that you're referring to?

I'm aware of that but the Update Manager that they have gotten rid of made things much easier in the sense that I could say, update Illustrator and Photoshop automatically when an update came out, but do not update InDesign or Premier. I could have my students update that for the rest of the school year. Then at the beginning of the next school year, we'd update all apps and then set the Update Manager to the same as I mentioned above. The current way, you have to manually go and update one by one IF you manage to think about it. From a teacher's perspective, and there are a LOT of us that teach it, teaching the kids to set the auto update at the beginning of the year takes the weight off of our shoulders where there are SOOOO many other things that we have to deal with. So, as I said, before, PLEASE BRING BACK THE UPDATE MANAGER!

individual subscription updates are controlled by the cc desktop app.  otheres are controlled by administrators
