Lightroom needs to stop re-ordering our keywords into an alphabetical order. People who are keywording for stock agencies and other purposes need to order their keywords most important and relevant first. Lightroom ruins this for us. I can't believe it's version 5 and Lightroom hasn't figured this out. Lightroom is single-handedly ruining our sales based on keyword searches. Thanks Adobe

Although LR provides a way to preview an output by going into the UI that allows the parameters to be selected to export an image, it is rather cumbersome.  It would be very useful to provide a one-click preview of the contemplated export.  Capture One provides this with an icon that looks like a pair of eyeglasses.   LR has a "Soft Proofing" check box, but I don't know what if anything it does other than turning the background white.  I use my watermark / signature in three colors (white, black and gray), and I use one of them depending on the image.  Currently I don't have a good way to tell which signature might best work for a photo without first exporting it as a JPEG.  Instead, if the Soft Proofing showed me what the exported image actually looked like, I could change my watermark.   Hope this is useful input.

I'm sure most photographers who shoot thousands of images rename their files.  I typically have more than one camera and multiple lenses for each of my project, and before I start shooting, I synchronize all my cameras to the same local time.  When I bring up the raw images in LR, I sort them in the order they were shot, and I rename the images using the following convention:   YY-MMDD Event-#### (Camera, Lens) <other qualifiers>   For example: 23-0913 Istanbul-0563 (LEICA SL2,APO-SUMMICRON-SL 1-2-90 ASPH.) 23-0913 Istanbul-0564 (Fujifilm GFX100 II, GF35-70mmF4.5-5.6 WR)   There are very good reasons for me to be able to rename these files further with a "Search" and "Replace".  The camera and lens names (obtained from the EXIF data) are typically unweildy and create long file names.  I would like to be able to do a search and replace text strings, so I can streamline the names, e.g., into something like: 23-0913 Istanbul-0563 (SL2, SL90APO) 23-

Hi, I have three suggestions for the Reference View UI that Capture One provides, and I hope LR will also.   First, I should be able to use the Shift key to drill down into both images, and also, pan within both images, as long as I am holding down the Shift key.  This lets me quickly compare two images for sharpness, micro contrast, color, etc. at different parts of an image.   Second, I should be able to click to select either image in situ and be able to edit it.  I might be comparing two images from two different cameras, and I might like the way the greens were rendered in one and the magentas were rendered in the other, and neither image might have been perfect.  So I ought to be able to tweak either image to bring it closer to the other.  If the Reference image is a "gold standard" that should not be disturbed, then it is easy to provide an edit lock for that image.  Currently, the only way I can edit the reference image on the left is by also

In my opinion, Adobe have given up the amateur enthusiast photographer customer segment. The amount of marketing doublespeak required to "justify" Adobe's decisions points to its major flaws: Adobe promised (https://blogs.adobe.com/.../lightroom-and-the-creative-cloud....) to keep offering a perpetual license in future versions, thereby influencing buyer decision for Lightroom 6. Then they made it very hard to actually buy the perpetual license version of LR 6, and now they argue that buyers were deliberately choosing the CC version. I believe a significant number of LR users are in the same segment as me: Amateur enthusiast photographers who need a photo management and RAW developer tool, but do not use it on more than one or two devices. For those users, the choice of the perpetual license made the most sense. I am unwilling to pay a monthly amount which will add up the normal upgrade price in under a year, unless it provides me with significant advantages. So, about those advantages

A MUCH needed tool for the high volume professionals / teams.    HIGH VOLUME:  Corporate headshots School photographers  Sports photographers   The ability to use Lightroom's already powerful facial recognition neaural tools for making crop/resize/repositioning adjustments across hundreds or even thousands of photos would be a massive time saving update and likely a feature that would win back many professionals who have converted to: Capture One Pixnub Third party AI tools   By way of using a simple reference image or outline the program could run automatically making these adjustments subtly while conforming to a predetermined crop.    Please implement this feature. The world of pros who use these tools will thank you.   

As a user, it would greatly enhance my workflow if we could Auto-Stack via AI evaluated structure or style.   Similar to how Auto-Stack by Capture Time currently evaluates and "guesses" at your stacks based on when you shot, having the ability to sort and group based on actual image evaluation and composition would be amazing.Two sliders to make it even MORE awesome :1. similar to hallucination on the Firefly API, one slider to vary "how tightly" images should be grouped in composition style.     2. Ability to select a "core" image - select your core image, find "similar" image compositions in your own existing libraries and folders.   (similar to find duplicate functions on AEM DAM?)Had great conversations with the developers at Adobe MAX, would love to see what can be done with this!

For many photographers the IPTC Extended fields play a big role in organizing and finding images. Therefore it is crucial that this information is searchable. But neither the Text filter nor the Metadata list filter make use of this metadata. This should be implemented since not being able to use IPTC Extended metadata within Lightroom is a big disadvantage.

I am newly exploring the HDR (and jxl) formats and it is wonderful to see highlights from my camera's DNG files finally being seen (on a 10bit display), and on iPhones too for that matter.   However, there is little general support for HDR output and the default rendering of an HDR file to SDR is terrible. I've developed a work flow that is ok, but would like to suggest an improvement.   (1) HDR Edit is my master edits and I'm doing everything there. (2) Create a Virtual Copy of this, turn OFF HDR, and do "Auto" for the basic slider settings.   With a few minor tweaks, this is good enough actually, at least for a vast majority of the use cases I have in mind.   So, my request: In the HDR Settings, there is an "SDR Rendition Settings". I know these sliders are a little different, but I wonder if we could have an "Auto" button that would do much the same as what I'm doing manually above?   The default rendering of these settings is terrible - the standard what an

I'd really love to see a way of automating the upgrading of catalogs.  It's twice this year this has needed to occur (13.4, and now 14).   I have a LOT of catalogs. I'm part way through upgrading them to v14 and have done 70 catalogs so far, with probably 50 to go.   Opening each one which takes probably 10 seconds to get to the dialog where you then need to confirm that you want to upgrade, wait for it to upgrade (minutes), then quit, then move to the next one is laboriously slow and tedious.   It would be great to have a command line where I could add in the catalog name/path and some upgrade parameter and it to automatically do the magic, quit.   I could quickly build this into a script (I'm on Mac - so BASH) with 100's of lines with each one calling the upgrade which would then invoke, do the upgrade, quit, and then do the next one in the script, etc.  This means I could do it all unattended overnight / break it into pieces, whatever suits me.  

I'm a hobbyist who enjoys travelling and taking photos. I have a habit of taking more than one photo at a location where there are lots of people milling around. My idea is for LR/PS to use the backgrounds from selected photos (from the same viewpoint) to fill in areas where people are and thus remove them. The AI tools to remove people are already pretty good, but I think it would be fantastic if you could use several photos (similar to HDR processing) to fully recreate backgrounds that may be hidden in some photos but visible in others. I see the process as similar to HDR but instead of selecting "HDR" or "Panorama" there would be another option to remove people. Who knows where this could lead. It would be like AI analysing a scene from several photos instead of just the single one as is now to remove distractions.

Provide either a prompt (upon the first type of change) and/or a status indication in the Develop module that your changes are affecting multiple photos.  There has been countless times, where I have inadvertently, accidentally thought I was doing changes to one photo, when in fact multiple photos were selected and thus were affected by the changes.s

Hallo zusammen, gibt es eine Möglichkeit in LrC (14.0.1; Windows 11 - Business, 11.0.22631) die Reihenfolge von den Bedienelementen (Histogramm, Stichwörter,...) im Bibliotheksmodus anzupassen? Bei einem Rechtsklick in den Bedinelementebereich kann ich nur die einzelnen Elemente ein- und ausblenden, bzw. minimieren oder maximieren.Meine Recherchen endeten immer bei der Reihenfolge der Bedienelemente im Entwickeln-Modus, was ja möglich ist.Falls diese Funktion fehlt, möchte ich anregen diese einzubauen.Danke im Voraus und viele GrüßeB

in lighroom classic it turns out to be possible to select a different printer in the "page setup" vs. the "printer settings". and strangely enough, this does allow printing. but it can cause very unexpected errors, that are very difficult to track - in my case, i couldn't select the correct setting for the correct paper feed, because the two printers (Espon 3880 and R3000) have slightly different settings, which in most cases work fine but in some cases don't work. and all error messages only hint at wrong paper feed, but not at the fact that within lightroom two different printers are selected. a simple solution to this would be a simple warning, that there are different printers selected in "page setup" and in "printer setup". 

Hi guys, Instead of using AI to turn horses into zebras, and the like, what would be really helpful is using it to minimize my editing time doing menial tasks.  If I've gone to the trouble of separating 20 different subjects from a single shoot into named collections: e.g.:  "John_Smith, etc." - it would be great if I could hit a button , fill out the root of the web gallery for my ftp site once (http://www.galleries.photographername.com/20240131_CompanyABC_", then point it to all 20 collections at once and have it upload individual web galleries for each person in automated fashion.  Right now I am sitting here doing these one at a time and it is a giant time suck.  This would be a great feature.

WE need to have the feature addon where we can save the workspace like we have inside photoshop.

Fujifilm's newer cameras have a 40MP sensor and offer in camera crop (or "digital tele converter") in Fuji-Speak, which I use a lot as a commercial event photographer.   However, Lightroom (Classic) does not recognize this. It does it for other cameras (Leica Q, Hasselblad 100C) and it would help tremendously, when Fujifilm cameras would be supported as well. Only newer cameras have this feature.   Thank you.

Please change catalog upgrade to rename current catalog with prefix "old" and allow the new catalog to keep the original name. Instead of creating a new catalog and adding a version prefix, ex: changing photography catalog v13 to photography catalog v13-3. Rename current catalog to "photography catalog v13-old and keep original name photography catalog v13.

I have a large library (over 300,000 photos) and my Lightroom catalog folder is over 160GB. This is important for me to backup, but the current process changes the name of the catalog and folders. Once changed, my backup process deletes hundreds of thousands of "old" preview files, and then copies those exact same files back to the target. This is unnecessarily complex, time consuming, and tedious--Lightroom can ensure the catalog name is the same when it completes the upgrade process. Consider those (like myself) that are sending this data offsite for backup--the cost savings, time savings, and bandwidth savings make this change necessary.   I am currently performing these steps manually by renaming the catalog file and supporting folders before opening the new Lightroom version, but Lightroom could do that automatically for me without too much extra work.   To help the average user, most of the people I teach Lightroom, or help with their workflow don't even know where

I merge my DNG photos and Denoise is not available, please can you add it? It would be a major help. Thank you.

After having applied Denoise, I would like the numerical value of the level that was applied to be available somewhere for my own reference. It should either be available in Lightroom when you open the file (show the slider, even if it's greyed out) or it should be in the data for the Enchanced-NR.dng file that is created.

Recently, a folder titled "LrClassicLogs" has appeared in my Documents folder on my Mac. I use my Documents folder for personal documents only, and would like to store the LrClassicLogs file in a less-obtrusive location.Can a feature be added to LR Classic to allow for a user-selectable location (similar to how LR classic allows for the catalog file)?

I would like the histogram gridlines (present in earlier versions) to be brought back. The current histogram is a step backwards in terms of usability.   Gridlines allow us to visualise in a clear manner where the channel values are placed, so that we are able to ensure consistency between photos.   (Refer to the image below, ignore the red circles.)

Running out of cloud storage when on the 20 GB plan is a common problem for my students who do most of their work in Lightroom Classic.   The most common recommendations to solve this in the Adobe Community and elsewhere are: Upgrade to the 1 TB plan.  That more than doubles the cost of the subscription, and most of my students aren't willing to do that. Delete photos from the cloud as soon as they are synced.  In my experience, very few Lightroom users remember to do this.  What's nice about syncing is that you don't have to pay attention to it.    Removing photos from All Synced Photos works to remove the photos from cloud storage while retaining them in local disk storage but in doing so, you will also remove them from any synced collections they are in.   There is a workflow to avoid removing from synced collections but it is complicated and if done incorrectly can have serious consequences: Select each synced collection (must be done one at a

A very niche request at this point in time (more than 20 years after the release of one of these cameras) but I'd love to see Raw Details & Denoise come to the Raw files produced by the Fuji S3 and S5 pro cameras.   These cameras have spectacular sensors with wild dynamic range (even by todays standards) but the one thing they lack is resolution. While "Super Resolution" is available for these files, I find Raw Details & Denoise create more percieved detail in my images.Thus I would be overjoyed if there was a way to make this happen for the few of us still putting these old treasures to use!Thanks!
