Hi,   The new denoise feature in LR 12.3 is great - much better than the old sliders - but...   Does anyone else find the magnification on the preview window too high? The most important thing when assessing what strength of denoise to apply is the impact it's having on image sharpness. And you can't see that properly with the preview at greater than 100%. The only options seem to be the whole image or a section of it at what looks like somewhere between 200 and 300% with no ability to select any magnification anywhere in between. Unless you can and I haven't figured out how. If we can only have one magnification level in the preview window it should be 100%.

Well, very unfortunately, and completely 100% user error but hey that's how mistakes occur... I got the indicator for "do you want to import settings from disk?" Yes, in this case I did. On one image. But I had my complete project set highlighted at the time and... poof.   Every edit I had made in today's edit session (only 2 hours...) went away, back to the original file "from disk". Everything - crops, clone/heal, develop settings, etc. Everything.    no problem... hit UNDO.   Uh, oops. No. That doesn't work.   So, because things are blissfully NON DESTRUCTIVE... should there not be a way to undo this gaffe/slip? I would HOPE so, because Undo is Undo. But...no luck here and I've had to re-edit to make my turnaround time deadline. Lesson learned, as always. But wow. Painful lesson.Suggestion to future developer changes in Lightroom Classic --- is there a way to redundantly write the xml / sidecar / catalog settings containing the edits to another file that WOU

HI all. Small idea:   Allow to create "Sync Metadata Presets" so that we can quickly select the fields to sync.   Potential UI   OR  

Here is an idea, what if using AI, Adobe could identify subjects in a frame, and add a radial filter around them? I know we can select a background, but it would be nice to be able to add a graduated filter around the subjects.    Use cases would be exposure vignettes, light corrections, color gradations, etc. I would find this extremely useful as a portrait & wedding photographer who uses vignettes when my compositions vary from shot to shot.

Mi piacerebbe nelle impostazioni di anteprima del secondo monitor, oltra al lentino dinamico che segue il mause per visionare l'anteprima al 100%, trovare una nuova funzione di lentino "VISI". In questo modo con una sorta di riconoscimento dei visi, il lentino farebbe visionare automaticamente i visi dei soggetti per il controllo di precisione del fuoco. Questo penso velocizzerebbe moltissimo il flusso di lavoro inerente proprio alla selezione delle foto. Speriamo qualcuno attenzioni questa mia richiesta da utente professionista! Saluti Daniele

Propose having hot buttons to preselect total number of thumbnails per row in Library grid mode. This would speed up zooming in and out of photos grid for a better view for culling purposes (ie marking colors, flag). At times you want see the forest and at times you need to have a quick view to reveal out of focus photos which are not obvious in forest view. The present slider is at times slow to respond. On the 4K display the max without side panels display its 24. Propose to have 5, 10, 15, 20 quick buttons.Attached is an approximate visual representation  

The following function would be very helpful for assessing the colour distribution in the image and for determining the white balance:   Idea:Possibility of hiding the brightness curve in the histogram / displaying only the 3 coloured curves.   Problem:The brightness curve is currently superimposed on the 3 coloured curves, making it somewhat more difficult to assess the colour distribution.   Possible solution:Right-click on the histogram, the option to hide the brightness curve is offered here. Export to more than one folder at the same time. Obviously using the same export settings

When Folders and Albums in the Adobe Cloud are synced to Lightroom Classic (LrC), LrC converts the Folders to Collection Sets and the Albums to Collections, and places them under a top-level Collection Set called "From Lightroom."   However, the system does not do the reverse. If you create Collection Sets and Collections in LrC, and then sync them to the Adobe Cloud, Lightroom Web (LrW) and Lightroom Desktop (LrD) ignore the Collection Sets and it converts only the Collections. The result is a long list of albums in LrW and LrD without any folders. To me/for me, the system is creating a mess in LrW and LrD as I now have one set of Folders and Albums that were created in LrD and a whole lot of albums that were created in LrC. How are you supposed to quickly find anything?   Please change this so you can sync Collection Sets in LrC with Folders in LrW and LrD.

Please allow to copy Global Point Curve and paste it in a Local Point Curve in Masking. Use Case 1. User edits Point Curve in Tone Curve or Masking (e.g I did it in Tone Curve)  2. Users wants to reuse the existing curve and apply it to a Local Curve (in this case the Correction has the default Linear Curve)   3 . User must: A. save the curve as a "Curve Preset"  B. Go into Making or Tone Curve and apply that "Custom Curve Preset" C. Delte the preset because it was meant for one use only. Is a waste of time to do ABC for such a task. It should be possible to Copy and Paste Global Point Curve and use it in Masking or vice versa. Given the use case provided this is what happens at each step internally. 1. When importing files in Lightroom Classic they occasionally appear grayed out, indicating Lightroom recognizes them as already in your Libray. At this point, I must cancel the import and attempt to find the files in the Library myself. Due to my extensive library locating the images can be difficult and time-consuming. It would be great if, as in the Library Module, you could control-click on the grayed-out image in the Import window and be given the option (in the resulting contextual menu) to "Go to Folder in the Library". Lightroom would then need to close the import window and open the Library module, highlighting the folder containing the suspected duplicates in the navigation panel on the left. I LOVE and often use this feature in the Libray Module and would LOVE to see it implemented in the Import module.   [Moved to "Ideas" by moderator]

The Enhance dialog should explain why Denoise or Raw Details are greyed out by providing a simple explanation:   Denoise and Raw Details don't work on the selected file types: <file types>   where <file types> provides the precise file formats of the selected files: mRAW, sRAW, linear DNG, JPEG, TIFF, PSD, PSB, etc.  LR has that information internally -- it just needs to show it to the user.   In addition, Learn More should link to a page that provides a comprehensible explanation. Right now, it just says "any Bayer or X-Trans RAW files" -- how many non-nerd users know what those are?   This trivial change would avoid hours of user frustrations and needless FAQs here.    

Snapshot default name as the last step in History not as a date and time. This could be only as an option, set up in preferences. Something like export files naming that is customizable.Examples of potential snapshots names base on order number and last step.{#} - {last step} 🙂 Snapshots: "03 - BW 1 02 - Adaptive Engance Portrait 01 - Exposure +0.55"     Reason: This would make list of snapshot less enigmatic. The 'date and time' is sorted nicely chronologically but tells us nothing about the nature of the particular snapshot itself.Snapshot names like: "2024-01-18 10:03:19 PM"make sure they are not duplicated and in order but are vague about its' content.  

CURRENT: Right-click on a photo and see Go To Collection option.    WANT:  Right-click on a photo and see additional Go To Smart Collection option   Lightroom knows that the file is member of a dynamic smart collection. Please list the Smart Collections when right-clicking on the photo. In addition, show the Smart Collections in the Library panel within a new Collections subpanel. Maybe under Keywording. This way, I can add a keyword and Lr would recognize that there's a Smart Collection looking for that keyword and I'd see a new Smart Collections link so I can click over to that Smart Collection focused on that image within the Smart Collection.    This is how Shopify works with Products with tags in Smart Collections. I can create Smart Collections: Colors, Yellow, Blue, Orange, Recent (blue boxes) that are filtering my products by tags: colorful, blue, orange, yellow (gray boxes)   If I click on the Orange collection box (blue), it takes me to the

sometimes i use the automate Button on adjustments just to see where it lands. And more and more often i just have to edit a bit highlights and Black to make it fit. Presumable this function works based on the Levels in a Photo. It would make Things easier and more precise, if an expecta^tion could be dialed in, like a Preset for automation. Means: selecting a Type of Photo (Sunlight, Dark, Street, Conmcert, Night etc.) and having the automated Tones adjusteted to that, either by Training or best practises. Even better would be selecting an example Photo, so the auto Mode gets the Type and Levels as close as possible.

I think that it would be fine and mode consistent to jump from the Lib module to the Dev module as soon as a command shortcut is specifically assigned to a Dev fonctionnality. For instance stroking "Y" for the before/after comparison in the Lib module (loop view) is not accepted, we have to first stike D and then Y. And I use this sequence a lot. The behaviour is different with some others shortcuts: from the Lib module Shift-V (french layout, I guess it is Shift-W in english) leads directly to the Dev module and opens the mask panel, and it is fine this way. CURRENT: When importing (synchronizing), I can choose "Don't Import Suspected Duplicates". When I'm looking at a current folder inside Lr which has a subset of files contained found inside to folder i'm sychronizing (say 10 have been imported previoiusly to Lr out of 100 I can see in Finder), I can see the full 100 in the Lr grid view initially but Lr quickly removes all 100 and the import becomes 0. This is expected and means that 10 files are in the catalog plus the 90 other photos are currently somewhere else in the Lr catalog. Where? No idea. Lr doesn't allow me to search for these files. I have to go external and use Finder to search them out.    WANT:  I want Lr to show me where those 90 duplicate files are residing while working in the import dialog. Use the same grid layout to segment the photos by folder. Let me jump to those folders by clicking on the folder names. This could be a way to Move those photos from all of the folders they might live in to the folder

In newer lenses such as the Nikon Z 14-30 F4 automatic lens corrections are applied. Pros like myself would like to retain the option to manually apply corrections (or not) on lenses.  I don't like this trend of reducing choices.

Dear Adobe Dev Team, LR has an already great system for smart filtering of digital image and video files using the available metadata. I have around >12000 Videos in a LR Catalog and they take a lot of SSD space on the 8TB SSD. I like to be able to cull trough and identify videos with the biggest file size, respectivly longest runtime and potentialy delete them to free up my storage space. LR already helps by displaying each videos lenght inside the preview thumbnails. However currently it is not possible to sort those files using the available metadata filters. Would it be possible to implement additional metadata filter for filtering out File Size / Video Lenght / Video File Type? This would help managing LR storage space.  Thank you and best regards Michael    

I would like the capability built into lightroom classic to print my own book using an ICC profile from within the book module. Having to export JPEG's to do this is an inconvenience and should be a capability in Lightroom. I also use lustre paper and other types which I profile before printing so I should be allowed to choose these when creating the book not just Matt and Glossy. I am a bookbinder so not interested in Blurb Roger Reading

One thing I don't like in the Dev module is when the mask panel is opened with no mask selected, it's still possible to move the sliders (exposition etc.) but without any effect on the image. I would much prefer to have the entire Dev tools available for global adjustments (despite the masks panel opened) OR a warning: "please select a mask" OR all the Dev sliders greyed out. I find the present configuration pretty confusing and not consistent.

Hi There,   I would like to request a function for Adobe Lightroom Classic & camera RAW:   Option for disabling / ignoring built in camera profiles particularly for DJI drones completly.   I use Adobe Lightroom for developing camera RAW images (including from DJI drones from mavic Mini to Zenmuse P1 sensors) for my work processing the images into 3D models with the use of photogrammetry.    I have realised that with some cameras (e.g. from DJI drones) the software always applies a default lens correction profile despite this function is unticked in the editing panel. As any software induced manipulation related to the geometric properties of the lens is highly undesired (it is introduces error / lessens overlap etc.) I would like to have an option for all lens corrections be enabled or ignored.   Strangly there is option with most other RAW delepers (RAW Thrapee, CaptureOne pro etc.) only Lightroom in forcing this on us.   I do understand that in

Hello, I just would like to leave feedback for improvement. I'm working with real estate photography every day, and very often need to make vertical alignment for room corners or building edges. Every Time I use Vertical Alignment button, or Auto - it randomly transform image. I wondering, because edges and straight contrast corners is clear, and I cant understand why app can't use it for straighten image. Automatical alignment tool in Lightroom is not good enough for vertical and auto-alignment, even when vertical lines in image is clearly and contrast visible (such as building edges, or room corners). Can you, please, improve alignment feature in next Lightroom updates.   See small sample.   

Lightroom Classic 13.0, macOS Ventura 13.6   New histogram look in develop module draws histogram in afancy stule with a line contour that envelops the histogram and stretches all the way from blacks to highlights. The line contour stretches the whole length of the histiogram all the time and this makes it impossible to see the real data distribution or where highlights or blacks need to be adjusted and how much of the range is left. The histogram view is basically useless. This fancy displaying is style over substance change and negates the reason to use histogram - please revert to old style histogram where empty areas are easy to see and there are no fancy line contours. Better yet - make your developers coming up with these fancy ideas to actually use the product themselves.   The clipping iundicators are no help either because I have a situation where clip indicator show no clipping yet when selected shows some small areas of clipping in image - see screenshot with clipp

I export images to display on a digital photo frame.  No digital photo frames I'm aware of are capable of optionally showing or overlaying any metadata info.  [this seems like such a basic feature and I've searched high and low for this capability]   So, I use the Slideshow Module to create images that have the appropritate Title metadata field on top of the image, then export the images.  However, we can not control the background or font color.  It's a white text on a clear (transparent) background which is mostly fine except in snowy scenes or other scenes where that portion of the image is also white, where the text can not be seen without very careful and close examination.  It's the transparent background that is the biggest problem. It would be great if we could opt for a background color and contrasting text color.  Just providing a black background and white text I suspect would suffice for most.  And this field should automatically resi
