Hi There, I would like to request a function for Adobe Lightroom Classic & camera RAW: Option for disabling / ignoring built in camera profiles particularly for DJI drones completly. I use Adobe Lightroom for developing camera RAW images (including from DJI drones from mavic Mini to Zenmuse P1 sensors) for my work processing the images into 3D models with the use of photogrammetry. I have realised that with some cameras (e.g. from DJI drones) the software always applies a default lens correction profile despite this function is unticked in the editing panel. As any software induced manipulation related to the geometric properties of the lens is highly undesired (it is introduces error / lessens overlap etc.) I would like to have an option for all lens corrections be enabled or ignored. Strangly there is option with most other RAW delepers (RAW Thrapee, CaptureOne pro etc.) only Lightroom in forcing this on us. I do understand that in
Hello, I just would like to leave feedback for improvement. I'm working with real estate photography every day, and very often need to make vertical alignment for room corners or building edges. Every Time I use Vertical Alignment button, or Auto - it randomly transform image. I wondering, because edges and straight contrast corners is clear, and I cant understand why app can't use it for straighten image. Automatical alignment tool in Lightroom is not good enough for vertical and auto-alignment, even when vertical lines in image is clearly and contrast visible (such as building edges, or room corners). Can you, please, improve alignment feature in next Lightroom updates. See small sample.
Lightroom Classic 13.0, macOS Ventura 13.6 New histogram look in develop module draws histogram in afancy stule with a line contour that envelops the histogram and stretches all the way from blacks to highlights. The line contour stretches the whole length of the histiogram all the time and this makes it impossible to see the real data distribution or where highlights or blacks need to be adjusted and how much of the range is left. The histogram view is basically useless. This fancy displaying is style over substance change and negates the reason to use histogram - please revert to old style histogram where empty areas are easy to see and there are no fancy line contours. Better yet - make your developers coming up with these fancy ideas to actually use the product themselves. The clipping iundicators are no help either because I have a situation where clip indicator show no clipping yet when selected shows some small areas of clipping in image - see screenshot with clipp
I export images to display on a digital photo frame. No digital photo frames I'm aware of are capable of optionally showing or overlaying any metadata info. [this seems like such a basic feature and I've searched high and low for this capability] So, I use the Slideshow Module to create images that have the appropritate Title metadata field on top of the image, then export the images. However, we can not control the background or font color. It's a white text on a clear (transparent) background which is mostly fine except in snowy scenes or other scenes where that portion of the image is also white, where the text can not be seen without very careful and close examination. It's the transparent background that is the biggest problem. It would be great if we could opt for a background color and contrasting text color. Just providing a black background and white text I suspect would suffice for most. And this field should automatically resi
A small request. Could you please allow to display the Catalog Name in the identity plate. To me me it would be ore vital than displaying my own Adobe ID. P.S. I know the Catalog's Name is already at the top of the widnow (at least on Mac) BUT readability wise the ID plate is a better place IMO. .
can you please change the 'C' shortcut to crop already?!? i just tried cloud-based LR, and even C is for crop on there. not R. how dumb. it messes me up on every other program i use -- captureone specifically.
Please can we have our preference for "lock zoom position" save in Lightroom somehow? I always want it on, and it always turns off in a new session. It's a small yet extremely annoying thing. Maybe a default setting in preferences?
When exporting images by generating the file name from the assigned keywords, the spaces between the different keywords are also generated. For example, the keywords "pippo, pluto, poldo" would rename an exported file with the text "pippo- pluto- poldo-".The middle dash may vary depending on the settings in the "preferences > file handling" panel, but for this example it is irrelevant.Unfortunately there are few limited options for managing textsIn fact, Lightroom only allows you to replace spaces with a dash or an underscore or to leave them. The ability to automatically eliminate spaces during export would be very useful.(In general, better text management would be useful.)The solution I currently use is to rename the files after export with a system script or dedicated software.
We should be able to sort Masks in Alphabetical order and Custom order as well. As of now only Chronological order is possible (last created mask goes to the top) but we should be able to have "Inverse Chronological" sorting so the last created mask is placed at the bottom. These are basic sorting logic! We have them for photos, we have them for files and folders on out systems....we should have these sorting options for Masks! .
Hi, Please could Adobe consider making the 'Title Bar' of Lightroom Classic follow light/dark theme used by macOS, as Photoshop currently does? Having that huge white stripe running across the top of the display is distracting/annoying and burning my blessed pixels! 🙂 Thanks, Darren.
I shoot weddings and edit with LR Classic. Each wedding gets it's own LR catalog to keep things simple and together. I use LR CC on my iPad pro and desktop for storing and editing personal photos. Sometimes I would like to edit my wedding work out and about and my iPad running LR CC would seem like the perfect solution. However, if I sync a collection from within a LR Classic wedding catalog with LR CC, it uploads the collection to allow me to edit in LR CC but that same LR Classic catalog then downloads my entire LR CC library and collections, introducing personal pictures to my streamlined and unique wedding catalog. I appreciate they are two completely different products, however a simple option to only sync a specific collection from within LR Classic would make editing on the go a breeze. There are enough dialogue boxes that pop up after you have synced that prevent you from deleting images mistakenly from the "all synced" collection, a simple check box before initiating the
There doesn't seem to be a way to limit a smart collection to a collection or collection set. When I create a smart collection inside a collection set, my expectation was that it would apply the criteria to the parent collection set only. Instead, it filters the entire library, regardless of where the smart collection is located. This is really confusing to me, and apparently to others. To give an example of why this is helpful, and why it is an expected behavior, here is a workflow I typically use: I load my images through Lightroom onto a drive. The folder name is just a date. I then use collection sets as the equivalent of a "Project" (I was an Aperture user for many years). Inside the collection set, I create collections of photos. Then, what I would want to do, is create a series of smart collections to, say show my TIFFs that I am editing in Photoshop, or have between 3 and 5 stars. I would expect this to be filtered to parent collection set, so that I could re-create those smart
Often I come back from a shoot with the images spread across two cards. Upon importing, after selecting my "client" import preset, I still have to enter keywords and choose new folder for the job. It would be very convenient, after importing from the first card, to insert the second and click "Import with previous," to simply add all the new images to those from the first card, with keywords, etc. Of course, since I number each job starting from 0001, the "Import with previous feature" should also start numbering the second card images where the first card left off! I understand that one can create a preset with all of these details, but that is overkill for an import that will only be repeated once or twice. The import presets list quickly gets long and cumbersome. Thank you for your consideration!
Hi.I have a feature reqeust regarding"Lens correction" panel in Lightroom. When editind big amount of photos (for ex. wedding) that was made by 5+ different lenses, in "Lens corrections" panel I need to select a certain lens for every photo. To do that I need to select a manufacturer (Nikon Sigma, etc), than I need to select a model (35mm, 50mm, etc). Doing that takes too much time.So i suggest to add an "Add to my lenses" option that stores certain lens. So for furher editing for each photo I only need to select a lens from "My lenses" list instead of actions I've described above. What do you think about that?P.s. The final result shoud look like on image I've attached.
Adobe has the power to make the world a little better for photographers. One of our great fears is the theft of equipment, and it seems incredible to me that with the technology that exists today, it still continues to be stolen. My proposal is that Adobe implements in the software a mechanism that collects the serial numbers of the cameras (exiff) and contrasts it with the database of stolen cameras, and if it comes out positive, send the IP to the police or apply some measure, such as showing a stolen camera message on the screen or whatever that makes it difficult for the thief to have such an easy way out. I know that there are legal impediments and surely there will be people who know how to bypass this filter, but I think that the simple fact of not going unpunished and thinking that they can be caught, would greatly reduce the thefts of these articles.
I have Lightroom Classic on my Macbook Pro. The Macbook is running MacOS 13 (Ventura). I would like to be able to right click an image file and be able to select "Open with" and have Lightroom Classic as an option. I currently have Lightroom, Photoshop, and Photoshop Elements. I don't know why there isn't Lightroom Classic. How do I fix this?
I suggest to implement a way to quickly delete/clear all existing Snapshots in one go. The "Clear Snapshots..." option could/should be available in the Settings Develop menu. There should be a "Clear All" icon for Snapshot just like we have for history. Tis a small thing but given how slow and inefficient it is to delete even a single snapshot this feature would help and speed up the workflow. EDITED for clairty + mockup screenshots added..
Would love to see Lightroom support JPEG 2000 upon import and as an export format choice from RAW/TIF/JPG. JPEG 2000 is a great format for archiving large numbers of rendered still images in a lossless (or lossy) compressed manner. Lossless it is 1/3 the size on average of a comparable uncompressed TIF.
People identified and named in Lightroom Classic should fully sync to Lightroom Cloud. I have a Lightroom Classic catalog with 30K photos and named many people using face detection. I've also made sure my keywords list is flat (no folders). I recently uploaded my photos to Lightroom Cloud so they're now synced. Unfortunately, none of the people show in its People tab. However, some photos do have a keyword of the person's name. So now it seems I have to re-identify all those people again in Lightroom Cloud. It'd save me a lot of time if it named people synced to the cloud. I'm not sure what the future is for Lightroom Classic, but if it's going to be sunsetted with no planned migration, I rather know sooner rather than later to inform how I should best invest my time.
Please add the 'filter collection' features to Publish collections that are already available to regular collections I.e. We are able to add colour labels to folders within a Publish collection but you cannot filter by those colours nor filter them by name.
"Zoom to Fill Frame" crops vertical images. Sometimes I have a highly cropped image or one some one texted me as part of my collection. Manually scaling or cropping images is a lot of work for a quick slideshow. Besides, Lightroom already scales these images in the Library. This should not be a difficult option to add to the Slideshow, and would really, really improve its functionality.
I would LOVE to see the hard drive browser and AI presets that's on Lightroom, also added to Classic. I've tried to work exclusively in Lightroom, but still prefer Classic. 🤷
Ref: Request to add the function of "Cut and Paste" within the Library module... Dear Adobe Support Team In the last several months, I have labored with the challenge of 'pulling together' several LRC Catalogs that I have collected over the years... Yes, with over 400,000, this is a challenge... Many years ago, "Multiple Cataloges" was desirable due to the 'ineffectiveness' of the "OLD" Lightroom Cataloging system... But now, over the years, that has changed and most of the Adobe Ambassadors, and Adobe Educators say, this is "No Longer an Issue" and some have claimed to have catalogs of over 500K and/or even more images in just one catalog with no 'speed' issues... ALSO, today in more modern times.... All educators "warn" against making any "file structure changes" outside the Adobe Catalog because this will "destroy the integrity" of the application cataloging database, when "Assessts" are moved, and the application catalog does NOT know where t
It would be a HUGE help if the 'favorite sources' list was editable - just to be able to move them up and downs - collect all the "collection" entries together - AND if they were text editable it would be even greater could CAPITALIZE the ones I seek most often. Really not nearly as useful as it could be in its current fixed state. I have some 15 entries and quicker just to search the locations on the left than read thru the small print in 'favorite sources'. pleeeeeeze - couldn't be all that hard to code.
Hi all, I love super resolution but it would be great if there were a slider to change the amount. Or, if we could apply the effect based on our printing size. A recent file became so big using it that I couldn't even submit to my printing lab. (59MB). And even if I did it would probably be problematic. I'm trying to figure out how to lower the file size without messing up the quality. It would be great if I could have at least applied the effect halfway.
