Lightroom currently has the possibility to search for missing photos, which is a very important function. Unfortunately this does not warn about the case where some photos are still present, but corrupted. Given the large amount of data stored on most computers, and the long storage time, this corruption is bound to happen sooner or later (such examples show up regularly on forums). The user therefore needs to be warned as early as possible so that corrective action can be taken (e.g. retrieve from backup) before it’s too late. Proposition: implement an automatic photo integrity check. One way of implementing this would be to calculate the checksum of photos on import for all file types (I understand this is already done for DNG s). The verification against checksum could be done either during the regular catalogue optimisation, or at the user’s demand in a way similar to the command ‘Library’>’Find Missing Photos’. This could be then saved into a temporary collection for review by

Please provide a way of creating a Lightroom Classic smart collection from Library Filter settings. I know I can manually create a smart collection that mimics my Library Filter settings, but I'd appreciate Lightroom creating the smart collection after I'm done fiddling with the filter settings.

Please add access to the Plug-in Extras menu via the right-click menu. It's inconvenient to have to remember that for some external apps, I have to remember to use the Library menu or File menu to access Plug-in Extras.

I have been using Sony PVM-A250 for my video feed for years. This is my secondary monitor and the feed is sent to it by using Blackmagic Design Intensity Pro 4K. This skips all the OS traps and gives me a perfect color reproduction.Now, when I use Lightroom, it would be great the app can utilize this card and send photo preview or what is called Secondary Monitor in LR while I keep using the UI interace on my main monitor. The critical color checking could be done through that card.Any chance by Adobe to start supporting it?  I know Premiere supports it so I don't see a reason this couldn't be ported to Lightroom and Photoshop.Thanks and cheers!!!

Adobe allows users to change the sky in LR classic. Now that we can select a background mask would you be able to develop a process to replace the background in the same way?

Hi,  I will describe the situation. Every year I have a lot of portrait photos of students. For one application I need square photos. For another application I need rectangular photos. I use the crop overlay for that. I am looking for a way to change the aspect ratio (in this case from 1x1 to custom 3.4x4.5) without having to manually resize and reposition the crop area. I imagine that once having a square crop, I can make virtual copies and change the aspect ratio in the copies. While choosing the new aspect ratio, I should be able to select also which direction (horizontal or vertical) should be kept. When selecting horizontal, only the vertical size of the crop area should be changed to meet the new aspect ratio. The left and right border remain in place. Again while choosing the new aspect ratio I should also be able to select the direction in which the change should be applied. In my example, I should be able to select top, bottom or both. A bit like resize canvas in Photosho

Since upgrading my camera gear for getting more into nature photography, I find myself more and more turning to high-resolution 4k video to capture speedy/elusive subjects that simply won't stay still for a good photo shot (especially with macro or superzoom shooting). As the quality and resolution of camera video has quickly risen, I suspect many others are doing frequent frame grabs for photo work, or will be doing so in the years ahead.   It's great that I can easily capture frames from a video with LR's existing movie playing controls, but they're pretty basic. I find that the lack of good scrubbing controls to be very frustrating. Most of the time, I have to plop the video into Premiere to use the much easier keyboard navigation tools there.   Do you use grabbed video frames more now? Would you like to see better video scrubbing controls in LR? I'm talking about a Premier-like timeline drag with good keyboard shortcut controls. What do YOU think?

With the new masking tool in 11.0, it's great that it identifies multiple subjects and masks all of them. Total game changer. But sometimes you only want one subject among many in a frame to be masked. It would be cool if there was some way to remove subjects from a mask that is quicker than the brush erase tool. Clearly, Lightroom can distinguish individual forms as subjects. But right now, it just lumps every form subject into one mask and pin, unless I'm missing something. So what if each subject form had it's own pin within the subject mask? That way, you could just select the pin for a given subject form and hit delete if you didn't want it masked.   Another work around would be if you could pre-identify which form in the frame you wanted masked. Maybe there could be a cursor tool in the subject mask panel. You select the cursor tool in the subject mask panel and move the cursor to the subject that you want masked and click it. It would be great if one could predefine whether the "Add" or Move" option is checked by default in the import dialogue.   Now there is a risk that you move files when you import when you just meant to add them to the Lightroom catalogue.   This becomes a problem if you have already set up a folder structure for the images in another program and you just want to add them to the Lightroom catalogue, but if you don´t happen to notice the "Move" option is selected then Lightroom will move the images and destroy the original folder structure.

Hi!   I need to indicate the number of person(s) appearing on every picture of a (rather big ) set og photographs.  I do not need to identify them, juste count.  Since the IA can identify people, I suppose it can determine how many of them are visible on a picture? This would greatly help the classification and tagging of my pictures, since this informatiion is an important search criteria.   Thank you

Lightroom's recent 'Select ...' masking additions have been a great help in jump-starting my mask creation process and save me significant time, but they inevitably require human refinement to be production quality. This is to be expected from 2022-era 'AI' and I'm ok with that. I view them as accelerators, rather than replacements. I'm even on board with the stackable mask system. However, there's one missing feature that would reduce masking tedium signficantly for me: the ability to rasterise any mask to a brush mask.   Typically each of my 'Select ...' mask layers ends up with an associated 'subtract' brush layer AND an 'add' brush layer. Non-destructive layers are great, but in this case I want to perform a destructive operation (edit the AI mask directly). I'm not proposing that the add/subtract system be changed. I'm simply proposing the addition of a context menu option to convert any non-brush mask types to a brush mask if the user wishes. This would also help plug the ga

Hi FolksHopefully a simple feature request here but how about adding a 'Strength / Amount' slider to the Color Grading Panel in both Lightroom Classic and Lightroom CC just has been added recently for Presets?The current workaround means Color Grading then creating a preset storing only the Color Grading adjustments. Then ... resetting the Color Grading and then applying the Preset, to then use the Amount Slider.The Color Grading can obviously be reduced by adjusting each of the Color Wheels equally but to be able to contro the overal effect with an 'Amount / Strength' slider would be very welcome.Just a thought ... thanks 

Can you please work on inverting the selectin in Sky select tool so I can the select the whole foreground in a landscape picture. Subject select does not work for this, just choosing small areas.

Sometimes I hit a shortcut key and the people view screen comes up. Always 10 minutes to find out how to escape from oit as the regular escape does NOT exit the window. Please let us deactivate shortcuts or at least make the ESC key exit any window that comes up like this. It is really annoying to waste time because of LR classic bad UI sometimes.

Why there isn't a keyboard shotcut for the IA selection tools? I propose to introduce a shortcut also for Subject selection and Sky selection!    

I have recently purchased a Loupedeck CT to help control Lightroom Classic better and become more productive and accurate. Unfortunately I now find that some functions are not available on Loupedeck CT because it uses SDK (softare development kit). Many things are controllable but things like using the Alt key to improve Sharpening is not possible because Adobe has not provide SDK support for the Alt function. Loupdeck Ltd tells me they have requested SDK support for the Alt function but Adobe has not done it.   This is a very important function.  Loupedeck CT does a great job of making Lightroom Classic easier, faster, more accurate and more pleasant to use but without the Alt function e.g. to carry out adjustments in the Detail panel on Sharpening Amount, Radius and Masking, not to mention Luminance, it loses its strength.  Please get the SDK function implemented for the Alt function

Hello there,  in my workflow I keep wishing I could rotate the spot removal tool in copy mode. Sometimes the source I pick is just perfect except that it would have to be rotated a bit to fit perfectly. How about that? 

Is it possible to add indicators to the Tools section of the develop panel to indicate that spot healing, red eye tool, gradient, radial and adjustment brush etc have been applied to a photo? (Did not include crop tool because you can show that information via the info overlay but would be nice for this tool too)When going through multiple photos and using the PREVIOUS button it can get to point where you forget that for example a spot healing adjustment was made several photos back. This adjustment may not be applicable to the 7th photo in sequence that you are editing but was ok for previous ones.It is time consuming to remember to have to click on each individual tool then look for adjustment pins or click tool reset to be sure that adjustment has not be inadvertently been copied from a previous photo. (Especially if the photo editing sessions are done days apart) This is not too much of a problem if you use SYNC on multiple photos as you deselect unwanted items but when using PREVI

Please consider adding to the print templates the ability to add the filename to the custom print template and a "design" feature to the contact sheet template(s).   Currently, you can design your custom template, but cannot put the filename underneath the image and contact sheets cannot be "designed".   This would be very helpful for print / pdf catalogs generated in Lightroom

I want to cull and edit photos in a temporary working catalog before adding them to my main catalog/s.  Unfortunately, the auto import features is either enabled or disabled. I'd really like to only auto-import into one catalog.  I have a "drop folder" setup that automatically retrieves images from my phone, which automatically syncs to OneDrive, and I also drag-and-drop images from my cameras to the monitored folder.If I remove the target import folder from the non-temporary catalog, Lightroom adds it back automatically without a prompt.  Another option would be to have the option to share/sync a folder between catalogs. I've done some testing and you have to manuall refresh metadata to see changes made within another catalog.  This gets pretty messy if you forget to do this and edit the same photo in both catalogs.  I'm pretty sure others would benefit from such a folder.  Another use case was would be a portfolio catalog that contained designated p

Hey Adobe developers! You probably don't hear this much but Apple Silicon Mac users are *really* excited about Lightroom running so extremely well in native mode. The speed improvements are massive. For example, I work with 2GB raw DNG files (400megapixel Fuji GFX cameras) and things that took 6 and 2 minutes before now take 4 and 1 seconds. It's a life changing improvemnt - thanks for working so hard to make this transition possible!    Tethering however requires that we reboot under Rosetta. Those of us in the cultureal heritatge artwork documentation community are shooting 100+ megapixel cameras all day long. While Rosetta is really quite impressivly fast, it's a bummer to not be able to enjoy the native speeds while shooting. For example, after taking a picture one must zoom into 100% and check focus, and this is far faster when running in native mode.    So this is just a reminder in case someone forgot, or lowered the priority on making tethering native. I now do most of my work directly in the "Folders" area rathe than in "Collections". However, I do use "Collections" to Organize certain things like my orders for clients. I have found that I cannot drag a stack into a "Collection" from the "Folders" and the actual Stacks are not retained when I do move them into a "Collection".It would be useful if these things were retained when working and moving between the "Folders" and "Collections"

Hi.As a professional Photographer, long time Fujifilm User, and LR user since version 1 (!), i always had to deal with less than perfect X-Trans support from Adobe, with some artifacts and missing details. Enanche detail in Lightroom produce a much improved result, and with actual computer (i am on a M1pro) it's not that sluggish (about 2 seconds here to show the final result) but produce an enormous DNG file on disk. So my suggestion/request,  please let me choose Enanche Method as default engine for rendering, for "live" demosaicing. it would be much better and pratical then use concurrent plugin to have a better rendering, or use Enanche Method, writing a large DNG file.   thx!

Using Windows 10 onwards Lightroom titlebar appears white. Considering most of Lightroom interface is dark grey I think the titlebar should be themed the same way it is on Photoshop. Maybe even integrating the menubar just as it is in Photoshop

More features as in text boxes and as many as needed to be placed anywhere. The text boxes with color fill and opacity. Text type, color of text and opacity. With the text boxes and text have each able to have it's own color and opacity. When sizing the image for print have the ability to size outside of the boundries and yes obvious the out of boundry wont be printed. This being able to drag outside alows for zooming in and drag image to position it. I have to bounce back and forth to develop module to crop and postion the part of the image I want printed. The main reason this dragging outside the boundries is I usually put 3 to 8 images on one print, so getting the part of each image within each cell would be easier. Better yet when you right click a cell an option to crop that image within the print module and it does not save the cropping outside of the print module. The whole modual maybe just needs to be redone with more options. An issue with a feature at bottom 'Print Adjustmen
