Lightroom will report on metadata collisions on a case by case basis. However, it does not provide for a way to search for files that metadata discrepancies vis a vis the catalogue. Can this feature be easily added?

In two screen mode, limit all tethering operations to the second screen while leaving the main screen so normal Library operation can continue. The intention is that the photographer should be able to use the second screen to trigger the shutter, set presets, and review the image, while on the main screen an "Art Director" can review and select images almost as if tethering is not happening (new images would be available but the main screen wouldn't jump to the just-shot frame). Secondly, allow a transparent overlay image to permit shooting into a magazine layout. John

Is there a workaround that will allow you to move many folders together into a new single folder inside Lightroom. For example, you may want to simplify the folder structure on your hard drive by adding a new parent folder to contain lots of subfolders. Moving subfolders one by one is tedious.

Lightroom I would like to see the ability to paint in or out RECOVERY in Lightroom. Almost never am I happy with the way it performs. It flattens the image out globally, often when I want to add recovery, it is only to a local area, such as a blown out shirt, rather than loose the crisp highlights and tone in the face, for example. Please add this into the graduated filter as well as the brush. Thank you.

Lightroom 3.4 There is no way to un-mark photos for republishing. I do not want to re-publish every photo I modify after publishing it, but there seems to be no way to prevent re-publishing of photos that I don't want re-published. There is a "mark photo for republishing" menu item. I need the opposite. In the photostream view of Publish Services for flickr there are New Photos to publish and Modified photos to Re-publish. There does not seem to be a way to remove either photo without "Removing from the collection" which is not what I want to do. "Removing from the collection" marks it for deletion from flickr!

For emailing photos you can do the post processing trick where you have Lightroom open the pictures in your email client after exporting, and leave copies the photos someplace on your hard drive that you have to then delete later because that method requires exporting the files as the first step. There is a dude (Andréas Saudemont) who made a really cool plug-in so you can email directly from Lightroom skipping the need to actually export the image to a file someplace on your hard drive as an intermediate step. I have to ask, with all due respect (I love lightroom, it's the only photo management app for me, I couldn't love it more, I know Adobe is a great company, no insult here), what were you guys there at Adobe thinking? How about being able to drag a modified image out of Lightroom and drop it in your mail app (or website creation app) and you actually get the modified version???!!!! Either that or a way to simply email the modified version as Andréas Saudemont's plug-in does smoot

I don't even know where to begin on this one. It's so obvious that I really shouldn't even have to suggest it, but it came up in another thread and I realized that nobody had posted it as an actual FR. The ability to create books and other "published" products from within Lightroom would be so incredibly useful that I think most pro photographers and a huge percentage of amateurs would want it.

What I'm asking for here is an expansion of the current Master/Copy relationship between a Master image and Virtual Copies, so that all images related to a Master image are linked back to it regardless of file name or location. This would be implemented with features like: A checkbox to identify Master Images. Can't be unchecked once other files are linked.   When derivative files are exported, a checkbox to 'Link to Master Photo in Catalog'   If that is checked, a text box for the copy name (such as "1024 JPG")   Ability to add existing duplicates/derivatives to a master by selecting related files and right-clicking 'Link to Master'   Enable the 'Go to Master' button next to 'Copy Name' for all linked files (as it works now for Virtual copies   1. We see many users in the forums who need to reconnect their folders in LR, because they moved folder structures from outside of LR or a drive letter changed on the drive where the images are stored. Many of those users only realize the need to do the reconnect after the fact that the folders are missing. If they did not have a hierarchical view in their folder panel active and parent folders added before the folders "got lost", they have to reconnect each and every single folder, which can be very cumbersome. Having an option to "Add Parent Folder" also for missing folders would help a lot in those cases. As far as I can see the information needed should be available in the catalog even if the folders are missing already.

Add "Is" and "Isn't" to all lib filter and smart collection text fields.

Every time I use Help there is an update for Adobe Air and an update for the help files. This makes it very annoying to use the help files. These should either update in the background, update once a month or show up as a notification in the Adobe updater.

Please add an option for linking GPS coordinates to Google Earth instead of Google Maps.

Currently only Collection Sets can contain other collections, and Collection Sets can't contain images. It would be much simpler for all Collections to be able to contain both Images and Other Collections. This is how almost any other hierarchical system of folders works in any windows or mac software and the way Lightroom does it now is frustrating and not at all intuitive.
