Hi, It would be great to have at least start rating when importing photos from s camera. It is very difficult to have a quick and professional workflow without this option. (When taking thousands of photos, I rate them on the camera as this is really quick, and then transfer them to lightroom. But without filters I'm stuck with either delete the unwanted photos from the camera, which is super risky, or add a start rating on camera, import ALL the photos, and delete the unwanted from lightroom. This is such a slower process than what it could be...)
Makes no sense that users have to pay for both apps separately.
1. Version: Lightroom web/cloud 2: Android, Chrome shared album 3. Share album, generate link. Download photo from Lightroom via google chrome on Samsung flip phone. Post to instagram using instagram app. 4. Expected result: correct colour Something is going wrong with color profiling. There is no option to select what color profile to convert to when a link is given for people to download a shared Lightroom album. So it's automatic. The image posts on instagram as desaturated, it looks similar to when AdobeRGB is incorrectly interpreted as sRGB. This needs to be fixed ASAP, as obviously the cloud/web based Lightroom shouldn't be unusable with the worlds largest web photo sharing site/app. I've exported directly on my iPad Pro and also downloaded via chrome via Lightroom web and postin it to Instagram the colour is correct from both of those. Two attachments show the difference both screenshots from instagram
We are professionals. We need to able to show multiple image overlays: file type AND flag status/rating AND Photo Info, not just one at a time. We can handle the screen complexity and if it's too much, we can always go back to one or two (or none). BUT having the option of more than just one would be very helpful for speeding up image selection workflow - especially on iPad and Web where we have larger screens to work with.
As a photographer I would like to be able to adjust the placement of the watermark not only for the whole batch, but each photos of the batch when exporting images, so I can place it in the best suiting spot for each image of the exported batch.Currently, I have to create many small batches of a whole photo series and assume the best fitting placement of the watermark for each of the small batches.
I'm in a filtered view doing triage on my iPad. If I make a mistake with a rating the photo disappears from view and it's hard to fix. It looks like rating changes DO impact the sort by modified view (something I've been confused by in the past) so I can probably find and fix it with a few steps. Honestly without being an jerk, I think this needs to be on a backlog of basic functionality that is high priority. I'm not entirely sure how to define it but if a rating change wasn't undoable on PC we'd be "shook". It should work on iOS also. As well as all of the other missing fundamental stuff.
When importing new photos on my iPhone or iPad, I have the option to "Select all," but I almost always just need to import photos from the current day, so I have to manually slelect the photos. It would be very convenient and intuitive to be able to apply segmentation when importing so that I select specific days, hours, etc. with one tap.
Phones nowadays are very powerful, so why not? Personally, even though subject mask is cool, I love the granularity that the People mask gives us, so that's the one that I'm particularly interested in, followed by the objects one. Admittedly, I don't use those all the time, but when I do it's annoying having to go to my laptop (which is slower and has a worse screen than my phone) to finish my edit.
In LR I would like to see additional options in "info overlay" under "photo info" to select only the title of the photo not all the photo information.
This is a bit more involved, but will extend the usefulness of the "Borders" option. Call me different, but I like to post my photos within a square white "page" with my name and the photo Title below, as per the example attachd. It's like watermarking, but is more elegant as it does not cover the photo with text or graphic. In Lr Classic, I can do this with Lr/Mogrify, but it's not available for LrMobile. I can also do this via Adobe Express, but it is time consuming. It would be helpful to add this to LrMobile/Web.
When editing in Lr Mobile one must go back and forth three times to copy and paste Title, Caption and Keywords. In LrClassic, this can be done at once. Invoke a simple pop-up panel, as is done with Edit settings, so the user can select what they would like copied. This should be a 'no brainer'.
The fields for both Title and Caption on the Info page of Lr Mobile are unnecessarily small. This makes proofreading and correcting/editing in a touch-based environment more difficult than it needs to be. There is the space on the panel (about 1/3 of the panel is blank space) below to extend each of these to multiple lines - 2 or 3 for Title; 6 to 8 for Caption.
As well as IPTC meta data (come on Adobe how hard can this be? You already have it in Classic) I'd like Lightroom & CC to have a built in FTP server so that professionals can +++selectively+++ transmit images from a pro camera right into Lightroom. Currently the only way to choose one or a selection of images and transmit them from cameras like the R3 and R5 is via FTP. There are other options but they send everything and editorial & sports photographers shoot a lot of bursts and just need to pick they key image and transfer that immedialy usually with very little bandwidth. If you could FTP into Lightroom, for example running on an iPad in your pocket, that image could be synced to Lightroom CC for a remote editor or work on, or the photographer could quickly edit and transmit that image directly. The key point here is that to choose one image from many and send it from the camera the only option is FTP. Until Camera manufacturers allow that option v
I'm unable to zoom in to fine tune key details. For example, I cannot edit teeth because I cannot get in small enough on the picture. Quite frustrating.
Please allow us to see the file size in Lightroom Mobile. I recently had an issue with a file that was taking forever to download from the cloud. Knowing what size the file actually was would have made figuring out the issue much easier. Plus it's just nice to have that info readily available. The ability to read exif data and edit it would be nice too.
Please allow the use of all of the Effects feature for video. Particularly texture, clarity, and dehaze.
When using the healing tool in Lightroom (cloud based), the healing brush feather will reset to zero if you change tools from the "erase" function. So if you heal a spot, then click on the erase tool, as soon as you change back to either heal or clone, the feather will be reset to zero. This is extremely annoying, as it makes switching between healing modes very tedious. Every time you change the tool from erase to something else, it requires adjusting all of the settings. The only setting that should be kept between switching healing tools should be the cursor size. The feather adjustment should remain locked for each tool, as typically independent amounts of feathering are used for each healing tool.
I would like to see the option in Lr MacOS, to sort folders and Albums in the opposite Alphabetical order. On the iPad and iPhone this is possible, but not on the Mac! I am using Lr for many years now. I always create a new folder every year. The list gets longer and longer and I want 2022 and next year 2023 at the top instead of at the bottom. This is not possible in MacOS. I am sure this request has been asked before, but I can't find it in the community suggestion. This seems like an easy request it introduce as it already exists for iPad and iPhone, so, please add this for thr desktop version.
iOS allows you to export files based on the file date/time, which I've always use in other apps. However in the desktop version it doesn't support this. It requires date-time "and the existing file name trailing it. Can't think of any intentional reason why the export options would be different between iOS/Cloud.
Really don't want to share my video taken with my phone because I realized I was talking . To my self. About the pictures. There's no way to mute the sound in editing? Not on the travel version anyway.( quick sets) Also trim is awkward. Can't really tell what's happening until watching final.
I'd love to be able to queue my own syncing by photo or by album, and push things to the front/top of that queue to get priority. Eg; right click, priority queue, then get a small pop-up or alert when that had finished and the normal sync had resumed, allowing me to get quick previews out to clients in an adobe album which is my preferred method.
When export a photo, create a new named version "Exported yyyy-mm-dd" of the photo. This feature should be optional, may be as global option or swithable in the export screen. This feature is requested as a restoration point, because it is easy to change unintentionally a photo after export it (pherhaps several days later), so you can not export the photo again with the same configuration.
Can you add a feature where you can choose between the old layout and the new layout on lightroom for iPad because a hate the new layout it's really annoying. ps where did the "open in" thing go and where do the learn tab go
This is one more of the ridiculous ways that the incongruencies are extremely egregious.
