I use Lightroom for editing and managing all of my photographs. I'm now using the new HDR support for almost all of my work and it generally works well. That said, my family and friends generallly share photos via Apple's Photos app, specifically via shared albums. Exporting HDR images from Lightroom and putting them directly into an Apple shared album works poorly -- the images do not have HDR when viewed from the shared album. I've found a way to do this that works (below), but it is terribly clunky. Lightroom needs a smooth way to export HDR images into Apple shared albums. After lots of experimentation, here's what I do, which works, but is a lot of work: (1) export from LR to an AVIF with HDR info; (2) on a Mac, convert to HEIC; (3) on an iPhone using the Files app put the HEIC file into the Photos library; (4) in the Photos app on either Mac or iPhone, copy the image into the desired shared album. Perhaps the easiest way for this to work (from your customers' perspective) is to be
Is there a way to export from the LR mobile app from the mobile directly to Flickr ? If no, please that add this feature please Thanks a lot
It would be very nice if Lightroom Mobile allowed us to export multiple photos on multiple threads (in parallel for non technical users) to drastically speed up performance when exporting more than one photo. Right now, when you export more than one photo, it's done one by one. As a result, this can take a long time to export if you have a lot of photos. I know we had performance limitations in the past (and probably still some now), but these newer smartphones, while not as powerful as current powerful PC, rival many of the PCs in terms of performance from a few years ago.
I would love to be able to add color labels to my albums in Lr. I know that I can add labels to individual photos in an album, but when I finish editing those photos, I would like to be able to label the entire album with a green label to signify I have finished all the included photos.
Please speed up denoising in Ligthroom on Windows on Arm by using the NPU. Other software companies like Topaz can do this, why not Adobe? Thanks
Please allow simple touch screen gestures on touch screen PCs, like for zooming and panning. Thanks.
I currently have a minor issue when exporting files. When I export 'Custom Name -Sequence' to give me something like YYYY/MM/DD - Custom Name-1, YYYY/MM/DD - Custom Name-2, YYYY/MM/DD - Custom Name-3 etc, if I export more than 10 files when I put those files into Windows SharePoint (I know, I know...) and sort by name they end up displayed out of sequence because SharePoint treats filenames as alphanumerical. My organization has the SharePoint column settings locked down, so I can't change the way I sort files in SharePoint. My current workaround is to manually change the file names in SharePoint, but when uploading multiple batches, it's really inconvenient and time consuming to fix. Are there any plans for future update to have an option to be able to specify leading zeros for file numbering upon export?
It would be great if Lightroom could have a more robust tag system, specifically User Created tags. Often I use other modifiers and it would be great if I could add tags manually.
Hi, I would like the cover photos in the 'People' section to be editable. Specifically, I want to be able to choose which photo represents each person myself. Thank you very much
On desktop LR (Cloud), you can select a folder as and view all photos within its nested albums. On mobile you can only view photos within albums (to my knowledge) - you're not able to directly view the contents of folders. This would be a killer feature for me to have parity with the desktop version, as my workflow is very folder centric.
Please add the color swapping ability for Lightroom Mobile.
Hello, why doesn't Lightroom Mobile have a review view like Lightroom Classic, which you can access by pressing the U key when multiple photos are selected? This is a reason for me to cancel my subscription; there's no practical way for me to quickly review and sort through several very similar photos. I hope I've simply overlooked this or another option.
Please support Lightroom App for Apple TV. Apple TV is where the vast majority of our photos are viewed. Being able to connect directly to a Lightroom Classic Collection which is correctly ordered and annotated is huge. I know of no other app which approaches the Lightroom Apple TV app in terms of ease of use. Having to set up on an iPhone or iPad and mirror is not the same quality nor experience as using the remote It's still limping along, but only a matter of time until a TVOS upgrade renders it to the bin... 😞
In Lightroom, at the bottom of the Info panel, you can see which Albums an image belongs to, and click on an album link to view that album (jumping to the current image in that album). But in Lightroom Mobile, there is no equivalent functionality, and its absence is frustrating. My publishing workflow involves album membership, but since LR Mobile does not show album membership, I can't use it the way I wish I could. Please provide a panel in LR Mobile that displays all of the albums the current image is in, like you do in Lightroom.
Hi team, i'd like to propose that we will support for neck retouch in lr mobile as well, really looking forward to it. Thanks team!
As a regular user of Lightroom—especially for collaborative projects—I’d love to see a feature that allows shared albums to sync automatically in the Lightroom desktop app without requiring a manual “View Album” click each time. This would be especially helpful for ongoing community or team efforts, where shared albums are frequently updated and accessed. Having them appear instantly in the app would streamline workflows and reduce friction for contributors. Thanks for considering voting for this enhancement!
In lightroom classic you can use auto-sync to edit mulitple photos in your film strip. This is hugely advantageous to start broad-stroke edits across multiple photos to confirm your profile and edits work for a variety of lighting situations. Being able to do this in lightroom cloud would be great. Currently, you'd have to copy settings, paste settings, and then each time you adjust something like exposure you have to copy settings and paste settings again.
In order for the new stacking function to be useful we need an "expand all stacks" view for Lightroom Desktop (similar to the Lightroom Classic). Thanks!
The 4:3 aspect ratio is a well known one in the photography space and I would appreciate it if it was added to the preset rarios in the border customization or there was a custom ratio setting there so we could create our own.
I would like to be able to manually select a set of images and "Download 1:1 Previews" for them so when I travel and don't have internet, I can continue working off of them as full-res images and zoom in tighter to them. My use case is that I don't need my entire catalog downloaded to my laptop, just a subset of them at a time as I am working on a large project and Cloud doesn't have the concept of multiple libraries. After I select this option, I would like them to stay until I manually remove them, and I would like them to automatically update if I edit them on a different device. After I connect back to the internet, of course all changes sync back up to the cloud. I would like this option for both Desktop and Mobile. Thank you for making Lightroom better!
I would really appreciate for the mobile version of Lightroom to have resizable linear gradient masks after placement and perspective linear gradient masks. The first one is easy to understand but for the second I’ll provide an explaination: you should be able to position a vanishing point where the outer and inner parts of the gradient will converge.
I shoot mostly film of all kinds of formats and use both desktop scanners and camera scanners. It would be lovely if Lightroom had a tool for batch cropping them, as the scanners all bring in unwanted borders. I know like an algorithm could do this very easily (and some scanning software does this already). I absolutely request that it does not use generative AI in any way to make up data in my images. It should simply look for obvious straight(ish) lines around the outside either black, white, or film, and then crop and straghten the image for me, with the ability for me to adjust the crop further - all original image data should be retained. This would save me hours and hours of time when I get back from a big shoot and smooth my editing process significantly.
Currently I see no way to manually correct for lens distortion, only select from cameras and lenses for digital cameras. I shoot only film and often want to correct this manually. Right now I have to just randomly select a camera/lens and hope it's close enough.
I use Lightroom Mobile on iOS to photograph and organise events at a retirement home. The People feature is very helpful, but it often misses clear faces (especially children or people at the edge of the frame), and on mobile there is no way to manually add a face or assign a person if Lightroom doesn’t detect it. Please add a way on Lightroom Mobile to: Manually add a missing face to a person in People view Correct / draw face regions like in Lightroom Classic This would make People much more reliable and would save a lot of time when organising photos of residents, staff, and visitors. Thanks for considering it.
The mobile app is powerful for color grading, but the absence of a text feature even in the premium plan limits workflow for many creators. Please consider adding a built-in text tool. It would be a huge upgrade! 📌
