Wouldn't it be great if Photoshop had the possibility to draw straight lines with a brush in any angle? Yes, i know you are going to mention the work arounds and the possibillity to click on one place and command click on the next. But these options are poor, for professional users: with a mouse you get a straight line, and with a tablet you get a touch-sensitive line with a flow towards zero pressure. Yes you can use the path tool and transform that into fake-sensitive brush strokes, i know, i know.But seriously: the way you draw a line with a ruler in the real world, deciding yourself on what part to give pressure and where not - wouldn't that be great as a photoshop tool? I hope adobe works on a few tools that stayed under-developed over the years.Best,martin

Hey, I'm looking to remap large parts of default hotkeys to work in the way I'm the most comfortable in. But many times I run into the message "is an invalid shortcut. You can only use .." which I find to be strange. Thinking about what the hotkey editor is as a function within the software, it is for me to change the way the software was made to be interacted with, to how I wish to interact with it. So if I for some reason I want to use any modifiers for 'Tools' such as ctrl, alt or shift, there should be no reason for it to restrict me. I understand that there is most likely a technical reason within how the software in how it's built for why I'm currently not able to use what I would like, and that is why I bring this up. Many people I work with that want to set their hotkeys for productivity and efficiency have to resort to other means by using AutoHotKey or other softwares that spoofs keypresses such as a key remapper software. Having the option to check a box to place Smart Objects in a Photoshop file by resolution (not by dimensions) would be handy for something like the following: I want to use Smart Objects in Pattern Preview. My scans of things I illustrated (and edited in their respective files) are various sizes. This would make pattern creation faster and easier to use for some projects. Please consider this as an update. Thank you! (Since there are some really old forum conversations about this topic with a lot of replies on current uses, to clarify: I'm not asking for an explanation for how to use the existing workflow; I'm asking for the ability to have a new option included in the workflow that respects resolution.)

Do you think you should be able to change the color of your file name tabs ?

I would love to see filter settings being changeable over the video timeline. So at the start the blur is set to 2 and then by the end of the timeline it is set to 6 or 10 etc

There must be a use of middle mouse button or the use of hand tool in layers pannel to scroll through layers pannel as it will help a lot while using a pen tab my pen tab do not have a scroll wheel so every time i wish to scroll through layers pannel i have to go to the scroll bar.

I do a lot of annotation of screen snips in Photoshop, so when creating a new file I often use the current Clipboard dimensions. It's not a big deal, but it would be cool if the current Clipboard contents would be automatically pasted into the new project when that New Document setting is used. I really wish there was a way to establish color variables within Photoshop. Yes, it is a raster based tool but there are specific sections within photoshop that could really benefit from color variables within the addition of a color variable palette.  Color variables can easily be added to the specific photoshop element / functions where colors are already procedural as the list below: Text objectsVector shape objects in photoshop Color fill layersAny color sections within the layer effects section (i.e color overlay, shadows, glows etc) ***Of course the user can select a color variable and paint or fill the canvas but this will be rasterized and will not change when the user changes the color variable. When I close a Photoshop document, all I want to see my is my desktop. The ever present Home Screen really gets in the way of a productive workflow. Are there any plans to allow users the option of eliminating the Home Screen? Please work this option into preferences in the future.

How to set it permanently?

This may seem wild, but many ideas might've seem that way when first introduced, so bare with me as I believe it would be rather sexy addition to using brushes in Photoshop. Imagine you choose a brush tip and are ready to use it in your art. But it's not quite right and you could use the Brush Tip to rotate few degrees. So you go to your Brush Palate and Brush Tip Shape Palate and manually rotate the wheel in that Dialog Box or type the number of degrees in a Angle Box(°). Then you go back to your art and continue using the newly set up brush. Until - you need to adjust the rotation of the Tip again, and again... you get the point. Wouldn't it be fantastic if we can rotate the Brush Tip 'on the fly' without having to go to the brush palate over and over again, just like we can now change it's size and softness? Perhaps Left Bracket and Right Bracket would rotate the brush Tip CCW and CW by a 1° (by 10° with Shift) or in increments you set up in Preferences? Wouldn't that be something?

I'd like to be able to perhaps right-click on a brush/group of brushes in Photoshop and change the color of the little folder icon. A quick search didn't turn up anything so I figured I'd suggest it. I recently got a new computer and was installing all my brushes I'd moved over from my old one, and reorganizing them all made me wish I could color code them so I could more easily identify them at a glance. I have a lot and scrolling through all that text is a chore!

So I know you can stroke a Line path with a brush but I would like to automate this process, and just be able to draw a line with the texture of whatever brush you select, with pressure sensativity as an option. Why? Well I draw a lot of buildings, and love getting that natural pencil line look for work (Alot of people in architecture do as well). Im aware you can hold shift using a brush to make a line. The problem is using a normal brush and holding shift alot of times the pressure senstivity fades the line so I have to draw it over and over or modify the brush and lose some of its characteristics. What I like about the  LINE tool is that you can see where your line is being drawn before you make it, so essentially its easier and faster, but lacks the natural look of the brushes (again unless you make a path and stroke it, which is  slow if you have 1000  lines to draw to make a building or city). Please consider it, I think alot of people who draw , especial

Does anyone know if there is a setting in PS text box so you know when the text is cut off in the text box? Currently is only shows up as a small black colored + sign, unlike in Ai and Id when is shows up as a RED + in the end of the text box letting you know your text is cut off.  I have often overlooked the cut off text because the little box below doesn't stand out in red like it does in the other popular applications. Any suggestions?         Doesnt just make sense to do it all in red? Black doesn't make sense. It gets lost in a document.

Could we please be able to assign actions to an expanded selection of keyboard shortcuts? This seems relatively easy to do, and I'm baffled it's not an option. Example: I want to assign fill to F or Ctrl+F, not F4. These buttons are far away and in akward locations for my left hand which is around the lower left quadrant of the keyboard 90% of the time. Thanks!

In the Image Size panel, there is a link icon that toggles whether or not the aspect ratio will be preserved when the image is resized. In its unlocked state, the icon shows a linked chain, which implies that the aspect ratio is locked. In its locked state, the exact same icon has a highlight around it. This is dumb. Please change it so the unlocked state clearly shows a broken chain.

Buenas, me gustaría saber si sería posible mejorar esta herramienta en ciertos aspectos. No se si a todo el mundo le pasa que cuando hace zoom a una foto, y luego pulsa la tecla ESPACIO para moverse sobre la foto con la herramienta mano, si hacemos doble click en el trackpad y luego arrastramos hacia una dirección, no se desplaza la vista, en cambio, si pulsamos el trackpad hacia abajo, si se desplaza la vista. Me gustaría saber si se pudiera mejorar para que funcione también con el doble-click de track mientras se deja pulsado a partir del doble click. Igual que cuando arrastramos el ratón por el escritorio para seleccionar muchos archivos. Hacemos doble-click y dejamos pulsado el segundo click y movemos el ratón.

Currently: if i have some adjustment layer(cuver, level something), use minimize tab, auto collapse lconic panel, it's really clean and simple.But if need to edit value, i have to "double click" adjusetment layer. it's not big deal when use mouse. However using wacom tablet, Sometimes double-clicks aren't good. I want you to make an option to open it with one click or double click like we use a smartphone or ipad thing.

The industry ***desparately*** needs a half drop verison of pattern preview, in addition to object rotation bugs being fixed.

In all apps, transform handles work like this:- Dragging a corner transforms the selection with constrained aspect ratio.- Dragging a center handle constrains in either vertical or horizontal dimension. For some reason Photoshop does not follow this standard.Please make Photoshop's transform handles more intuïtive
