Illustrator zooms into 64,000% and Photoshop only zooms into 3200%. 3200% is insufficient in comparison, especially with the need for pixel perfect designs in apps and websites. I'd like to see at least 10,000% zoom capability in photoshop.
Hello! Multi-select text while editing the text layer Regards, Alex
Currently you can exit Text Editing mode in Photoshop by pressing cmd + enter. What I'd like is a keyboard shortcut to *enter* Text Editing mode after selecting a text layer.
Please guys can u add a folder possibility to the libraries panel. Its really disgusting not be able to organize my ~200 Assets... 😕😕
Feature Request:Add a checkbox in File > Automate > Batch... to prevent opened files from being added to the File > Open Recent... list of recent documents. This checkbox could be labeled:- Suppress files from Recent DocumentsWhy is this useful? As a designer that relies on Recent Documents for a speedy workflow in Photoshop, running a batch process is very disruptive because it "spams" the recent documents list with sequential files, so the previous list of recent files (layered PSDs) that I have been working on are lost, making it hard to go back to recent files I was working on before running the batch process.
I recently acquired a Surface Studio with the Dial and there is quite a bit of potential in this new input device. Here's hoping you are already well under way integrating the device and these ideas are old-hat.One of the great uses of the Dial is for controlling the Undo/Redo stack. Suggest tying History to the dial for a quick way to scrub through your actions.Brush Size, Flow, Opacity are also natural properties that would work naturally with the Dial. One of the nicest surprises with the Dial is in Microsoft Ink Workspace - there is a virtual Ruler that can be placed and oriented with the dial that also locks your stroke. This is such a great feature for perspective drawings and would love to see something similar for placing guides.Scrubbing through Brush presets is also a welcome feature in Microsoft Ink Workspace - it only supports the 3 built-in brush types, but if Photoshop could allow for selection of a few favorited brushes through the dial, it would be very nice. Thanks for r
I am a user interface designer and have PSDs with over 300 layers, inside different folders. Sometimes I need to copy a layer, say a button, from one folder onto another. But between those there are 100 layers/folders. The only way I can do it now is to alt-drag the layer past hundreds of layers and try to find the folder I need to drop it into. It's very inconvenient. All I would like to have is the ability to copy and paste layers. So I would select layer, CMD+C, then select the folder I want to paste that into and hit CMD+V. Is this doable with AppleScript? If so, can anyone write one applescript for copy and another one for paste? I can then use Keyboard Maestro to trigger it. Thanks
A lazy mouse feature in PS would be great. (like the one in Zbrush) There is an external program called Lazy Nezumi, but this only 'works' on PC, & not on Mac (sadface)
Would any web designers out there find ruler sets handy? In other words the ability to save various grid systems in a project and open/close them as necessary without having to throw off the core grid system.
I really wish Adobe would put back the functionality of the Select>Modify -- Smooth, Expand, Contract, & Feather options for a "Select All" selection. This was a feature that was "fixed" in CS3 and I was ecstatic about it as previous versions and unfortunately--subsequent versions yield these Select Modify commands useless, grayed out when a selection has been made via the Select All command! The reason I was happy to use them in CS3...and wish they would do an update to fix CS4 and CS5, is because I had created many actions to create borders using the Select All command and then the Contract, Smooth, Feather, Border, and/or Expand sub commands. This was awesome because I could automate these borders, edges and/or photo corners without regard to the portrait or landscape orientation or the size of the canvas, because the "Select All" created a selection of the existing Canvase which could then be manipulated via the Select>Modify options. The current Photoshop version and the
With the new artboard tool in Photoshop, I feel like it needs to be able to have guides nested within the artboard. That way when you duplicate an artboard, for another concept or screen etc, they will have the same guides so everything lines up. This is an essential part of what this new feature needs for me, so would appreciate it being looked at for a future update.
I can't tell you how many times a day i have to turn off all my layers above the layer i am working on, take a color sample with the eye dropper, and then turn all those layers back on. A simple 'current and below' option (like the clone tool) would be amazing. Please please please??
In Photoshop, the legacy of the Swatches panel is just color references ("archives"). There is no link between the swatch and the object filled with this reference color cause of the Pixel based original purpose of Photoshop. But now, that we use Photoshop for graphic design and webdesign, we use a lot Text layer, Shape layer and Layer Styles. In Illustrator, by default, a basic swatch is also a simple reference/archive, but if you double-click on a swatch color and check Global in the option, the future objects (fill, stroke, pattern...) which will use it, will be linked with this Global swatch. So that, you could edit the value of the swatch to modify all the applied color at once and sync your modification! Here a video explaining in details my feature request: https://vimeo.com/84398366 (PW: request) What do you think about that idea?
When I double click the Layer name in order to rename it, I often miss the name which of course invokes the Layer Styles Dialog. This would be acceptable if I could actually rename the Layer in this dialog box. Closing and trying again can get tedious.
At our company, we are using Photoshop to animate 2D sprites for video games. To export the files from Photoshop, we are using custom scripts. However, our programmers encounterted a couple of problems with some of the functionality here. First of all, there does not seem to be a documented API for large portions of the animation segment of Photoshop. However, this is one of the most important parts for automation, since it is very time consuming to manipulate each frame manually. We've encountered two similar problems here: var id45 = charIDToTypeID( "setd" ); var desc21 = new ActionDescriptor(); var id46 = charIDToTypeID( "null" ); var ref42 = new ActionReference(); var id47 = stringIDToTypeID( "animationFrameClass" ); var id48 = charIDToTypeID( "Ordn" ); var id49 = charIDToTypeID( "Trgt" ); ref42.putEnumerated( id47, id48, id49 ); desc21.putReference( id46, ref42 ); var id50 = charIDToTypeID( "T " ); var desc22 = new ActionDescriptor(); var id51 = stringIDToTypeID( "an
Now that Flash is gone from the most current version of Photoshop some users who used Configurator Panels to streamline their work processes seem to be surprised by this development or having problems with re-creating their former Flash Panels as html5 Panels with Eclipse. There is no denying that • the move had been announced, • Configurator was a free goody and • one should be able to emulate most of the Flash Panels’ functionality with Eclipse. But as far as I’m concerned Configurator’s ease of use is sorely missing so far. So it would seem to be much welcome if an application akin to Configurator for html5 Panel creation were developed and released for those users whose Photoshop customization needs go beyond Actions, Keyboard Shortcuts and Menus but who are lacking in html5 savvy. the smart-filter functionality should be kicked. i want photoshop to create a filter-layer (exactly like an adjustment layer) to be able to really edit non destructive in an easy way. i assume it would eat up cpu to calculate filters all the time in real-time. if so, to avoid this, integrate a freeze button: http://feedback.photoshop.com/photosh...
Hi ! I can't seem to find a way to choose a specific font from the complete list of installed font, instead of having some kind of random shortlist. Is there such an option ? If not, will that be implemented in the feature ? It's Really annoying to open the file, not being able to resolve with the right font, and then having to do it manually (fiter fonts in layer panel > then select the concerned layers and have to browse - getting around the instant preview/replace issue - and then select the right font, and click ok or press enter for every single layer -__-') Thanks for the help !
Hello, The current photoshop timeline is designed for the frame-by-frame editing of an existing video track, rather than the creation of animation from scratch. I would like to request that the Animation Timeline in photoshop be made more like the Timeline in Adobe Flash. This would include things such as the ability to extend a keyframe over several frames, select frames, grab and move frames from one position/layer to another, and so on. Currently, all of these actions have to be performed through a clunky menu dive, a complex sequence of copying and pasting, or both. Also, frames are deleted if the framerate for the animation is changed. I have worked with both Adobe Flash and Adobe Photoshop for several years. I use photoshop to create rough sketches and drawings, as rastor based graphics are very convenient for my creative process. I use flash to practice traditional animation. However, even with a tablet, vector-based
For video editing in Photoshop, I'd like to have the ability to trim or extend multiple selected clips.
White border around crosshair cursor (for CS6) was not a good idea. Not only does sub-pixel rendering make it look like the black is bleeding into the white, but the cursor is now essentially 3px thick, making pixel-perfect selections at 100% much more difficult / less agile. Can there be an option to go back to the previous cursor that would simply invert portions of the crosshair based on what was directly under the cursor? *Generally Happy Creative Cloud Customer*
"Blend Text/RGB Colors Using Gamma" should be a document or layer setting instead of a global setting. The user should have the ability to set the default option. There could still be a global setting for documents that don't have specified gamma blending settings. Here's a simple scenario: A designer makes a graphic in Photoshop CS5. The Star shape and text layers are each set to black with layer fill set to 45%. All Photoshop color settings are at default. The file is sent to a user with CS6 or the designer upgrades to CS6. The Shape and Text layers no longer look the same. Mass confusion. The current settings are hidden away, like they aren't supposed to be messed with, yet I am seeing recommendations to disable Blend Text Colors Using Gamma: http://bjango.com/articles/photoshopc... I was tempted to label this as a "Problem" rather than an "Idea." There are simple workarounds for this issue, but you can't expect users to know what is happening in the first place, especiall
When the color picker is opened, the red field is automatically selected. It's very, very rare that I'd want to copy the red component of a color. However, I copy the HEX value very often. Usually it's to copy a color, then paste it into another picker, like when I'm copying a shape's fill color. It'd be great if the hex field was automatically selected when the picker is opened, saving several clicks (four clicks when copying and pasting a shape's fill color). Image is not available
We are getting ready for our regional spelling bee. I am creating PSD file for 300+ words for our tv broadcast. Is it possible to check the spelling of these files at one time. In the past I have opened each file and checked them individually. We are copying the words from Word and use the spell check there, however I want they extra bit of security by checking them in Photoshop as well. I can't have a misspelled word during the spelling bee.
Problem Description — Illustrator allows realtime tweaking of the corner radius of rounded rectangles while drawing, using the arrow keys. It’s brilliant and takes the guesswork out of drawing rounded rectangles. Drawing a roundrect in Photoshop is a trial and error affair, because you have to choose the corner radius prior to drawing. This means it usually takes several attempts to draw a rounded rectangle, because you have to delete what you’ve done and start again each time. It’d be even better if the rounded rect’s corner radius remained editable after drawing. Allowing a different corner radius for each corner would be the icing on the cake. Given the current implementation of vector rounded rectangles in Photoshop, I’m not sure how it’d be possible to implement edibility without significant changes. Workaround — Lots of trial and error, drawing and redrawing until the correct radius is achieved.
