Currently, the swatch panel will not reduce to only show the small strip of recent colors. I prefer to remove the swatch libraries because they add no value to my work, but that leaves a large intrusive blank space. I would like to see see the ability of the swatch panel to be collapsed to only show the small strip of recently used colors.
When working with multiple layers, it would be great if Photoshop could use AI to automatically recognize the content of each layer and rename them accordingly (for example: ‘Tree’, ‘Sky’, ‘Logo’, ‘Person’, ‘Text’, etc.).Why I need this feature:When working with complex compositions, especially those involving dozens or hundreds of layers (like composites, mockups, or UI designs), it can be extremely time-consuming to manually rename each layer for organization. Many users rely on descriptive layer names to stay efficient, but auto-generated names like ‘Layer 1 Copy 3’ make projects difficult to navigate.Having AI intelligently recognize what is on a layer, whether it is an object, a shape, a piece of text, or an imported image, and rename it accordingly would drastically improve workflow clarity, speed, and collaboration. This feature would also help teams stay consistent when sharing PSD files, reducing confusion and setup time when opening files created by others.
This might not be a unique idea. I would request if the input field in the save dialog box can be longer. I have long file names and sometime have to stick to the naming patterns which are unique. It is a cumbersome process to keep moving the cursor through the entire length of the file name to make changes in the longer file name.
As a real estate photographer and editor I edit and review thousands of photos a month. Something that would be a huge time saver would be the ability to type in a text box the description of something like "Windows" and then A.I. will search the image and automatically mask out everything matching that description. Masking windows indoors and outdoors for twilight imagery is something I spend alot of time on. But taking it a step further and being able to type "Cats" or "TV Screens" would also be a great help.
With Adobe's AI becoming so powerful, I'm sure some of that power can be used within other areas of Photoshop. Generative fill is capable of generating super realistic imagery, with angles, lighting & shadows that are well-considered within a few seconds. Why not add a new AI Shadow tool that creates super realistic drop shadows? The adjustments can be very simple, only the length of the shadow can be controlled. This should read all layers, so things like colour bleed can also be taken into account. This would be a game changer and I think Adobe has the technology to roll this out quite quickly.Just an idea. 🙂ThanksJacques
Subtituir cielo está fantástico, pero si necesitas el reflejo en agua, no existe la posibilidad.
Is colourLookup option is available in photoshop on ipad
Make the red eye removal tool able to be done in an empty layer.
A cool and useful feature would be one that gets rid of the green glare on people's glasses easily.
I often need to switch between multiple guide layouts in the same PSD document and the current [View > Guines > New Guides...] doesn't allow doing that.Important functionality is misisng. Please add guides as layers, so then all sorts of setups will become easily doable. You can add this functionality without removing the previous one if you're worried about breaking changes. For example, my original assets are 256 px but I need to scale them to 240 px grid to work on them and for export I need 160 px grid, so I have a need to switch between 3 grids all the time.I tried Artboards in Photoshop 26.10 (late 2025) but they were completely buggy and unusable (quickly increase RAM to 64 GB and crash Photoshop). So, the entire workflow is much worse than in Illustrator currently.
Hi, Something that really frustrated me today when using Firefly in Photoshop is that I was changing a shirt style to get various looks but Firefly kept feminizing my shoulders ALLOT. I had to use the deformation tool to keep correcting things but it got to a point where I gave up and just kept on of the examples. I'm a man, not a woman. I don't want my shoulders made more narrow or drooping down as Firefly kept doing. See the TShirt, that's me, the collared shirt and tie was the one I had Firefly do for me. This had to be fixed using the deformation tool to get my shoulders up where they needed to be. I don't have an example of the image before I fixed it. Can you please train Firefly to respect body shapes? I know it can be done. Just thought I'd bring this to your attention. Thank you
It would be great to have a SOUND NOTIFICATION when AI is done generating fills.usually it takes a minute or so to finish and instead of staring at it, users tend to do something else while waiting.most of the times, they wouldnt know that it's done already. making them waste more time.
First, I want to say that the recent addition of Nano Banana is fantastic, it's exciting to see how Photoshop keeps evolving. From here, the only way is forward.I’d like to suggest something that could make Photoshop even more powerful and intuitive: enabling voice commands. Similar to how modern language models allow natural voice interaction, Photoshop could integrate a small microphone icon within the interface, giving users the option to speak commands instead of typing or navigating menus. This could open up a new level of accessibility and workflow efficiency, especially for creative professionals who often have their hands full while working.
Working with architectural photography I frequently find the need for a set of images to have the exact same color and luminance: for example, a living room may end up with different colors on furniture in it, based on the position of the camera on each shot. The idea is to work on one of the images and use it as a "master photo" for all other images that need to have the same colors and luminance as this one. Maybe all these images could be open all at once at tiles on photoshop and a command would use AI to "harmonize" all image files. "Match color" command don't do the work for me in its current form, and that is why I propose, if possible, a "harmonize images" command as described above.
Hello Adobe Team,I’m writing to kindly suggest an improvement to the "Flip Horizontal" function in Photoshop, particularly when working with documents that contain a large number of layers. In other software such as PaintTool SAI 2, this action performs almost instantly, even with 500 or more layers. Given Adobe’s leading position in creative software, I believe Photoshop has the potential to achieve similar efficiency.Would it be possible to optimize the "Flip Horizontal" feature in a future update, so it performs more smoothly when many layers are present?Thank you for your time and consideration.
It maybe already under construction but I would like to suggest the idea for making entire adobe creative suite like photoshop, primiere pro in AR and the n number of possibilities and convinience that would provide the designers , editors and creators as well as those who would want to learn the suite . It's like you can see multiple layers of a photoshop in AR , and tweak individual layers without getting confused . Editing a video could be a ease and a person could be able to visualise their ideas and concepts . 3D modelling could be just sculpting especially with the feature and powers that adobe bring in .
Love your ability to generate background after you remove it... instead of us thinking about backgrounds, can you provide sample backgrounds that will inspire us to use them, modify them etc?
Photoshop is long overdue for a proper Cryptomatte plugin / full support so that we can use cryptomattes like we do in virtually every other piece of compositing software (including AE). Why isn't this already a thing? It's looong overdue.
It's great to see that AVIF support is coming to Photoshop! There is another modern file format which would be very helpful to have in Photoshop: JPEG XL (ie "JXL" file extension). While it currently lacks the high degree of browser support offered by AVIF, it otherwise offers many benefits over AVIF which are useful for a variety of uses:JXL supports up to 32-bit depth (vs maximum 12 for AVIF). This makes it much more suitable for an image which is intended to undergo further editing.JXL offers effectively unlimited pixel dimensions, while AVIF has significant constraints for full resolution images (tiling can expand these limits, but with some risks at the edges and I've seen some tiled AVIF images open up as if they were 13 different photos). This makes JXL a much more attractive file format for sending images to a print lab than AVIF, JPG, or TIF. It offers very high quality/resolution in a very small file. Assuming browser support grows, JXL would also offer these additio
Please allow Eyedropper access for to the Smudge tool, at least when Finger Painting is on. At present, when using the smudge tool, holding down the option key does nothing. You must switch to a regular brush, use the eyedropper (invoking it temporarily with the option key), then switch back to the smudge tool. This is awkward.
Hey,I’ve been using Photoshop for over ten years. Few years ago I also started using Procreate on an iPad, because it feels more intuitive and natural for drawing. Many artists with a similar background and experience, that I talked to feel that Photoshop is missing a feature that would make digital illustration much more convenient and faster.Problem:In Procreate you pick one brush and can switch freely between painting, erasing and smudging. In Photoshop a brush preset is often tied to one tool(especcialy when you download some brush packs). Ofcourse You can duplicate the brush and remove the tool "binding" to the brush, but that wastes time and clutters the Brush panel.Solution:It would be a huge improvement if any brush could be used in all three modes even when it has a default tool assigned. For example, when you download a brush set you could immediately use a brush to paint, erase or smudge without creating separate copies. The current system could still be available for those who
I am posting this comment on the PhotoShop Discussion Forum, but it could equally well belong to any other Adobe Creative app's Forum.I have been a committed user of a wide range of Adobe apps for decades. Throughout all that time, I have been consistently frustrated by Adobe's insistence on complicated key-mouse combinations. I am one of the rare breed of literally 'single-handed' users in that my left hand is of little reliable use.Attempting esoteric combinations such as clicking on something while simultaneously pressing the Crtl and Shift keys, for example, is something I can only do clumsilily, unreliably, and with a certain amount of discomfort.I am all too aware that manufacturers only pay lip-service at best to accessibility issues, and then only when legislation requires them to do something. There are simply too many forms and degrees of 'disability' to cater for them all. The cost would become prohibitive. However, for desktop or web-based software applications solutio
In working with images opened from camera raw as smart objects, I often find that I would like to re-open one or more of the individual images in camera raw to make changes, perhaps in exposure , or to remove something that I didn't notice before. At present, I have to open the images as "not smart" (dumb?) layers in order to do the alignment, then convert the layer I want to modify to a smart object and use the camera raw filter. It would be so nice to have the align function work on the smart objects to do the geometric, free transform part of the alignment and then alow me to go back into camera raw to modify tone, light, etc.
As the title suggests, bring Actions to the iPad Version as soon as possible.
I belive the IOS version of Photoshop should include a brush that does not automatically appy anti-aliasing. The pencil tool on desktop is a good example, or simply the ability to turn off the spray of semi-transparent pixels that hoarde around the edges of my every brushstroke. Be it through a checkbox or a true "100% Hardness". All my work has been with aliased lines, meaning that I downloaded the app only to find out it was funtionally useless to me. I knew not all features would be accesable on mobile, but the pencil? I implore you to consider adding this age-old feature to mobile so I can enjoy creating in Photoshop on the go!!
