P: Support scalable user interface UI for high resolution monitors

I'm using a high resolution monitor(2560x1600). As a result, all the the toolbar fonts and menu fonts are small and hard to see. I do not want to lower the screen resolution as this would defeat the purpose of this monitor.. Will the new CS6 have the ability to increase font sizes to accommidate Hi-Res monitors?

Thanks

It is somewhat comforting to see that I'm not the only one that feels the way customers are being treated on this forum is reprehensible.

Yes, all versions have this problem and don't work.

I just bought PS for $300. I can't read the screen and I can't return the software. Does anyone know if the creative cloud version of photoshop has this problem, too?

@74350 Jensen, the net is all hearsay. Adobe are supposed to be the experts and their sales team is advising the clients that this is not an issue on the new CC version if you read the thread.

Yes of course there is - but is it a factor a regular user would think of? Adobe is clear what versions of operating system works with their products, as well as minimum system requirements - like memory, CPU and more. But no mention of issues with high res displays. And as previously mentioned this has been a topic for at least 3 years - so plenty of time to add a caution to the requirements list. Would make life easier for the customers!

While this does appear to be an issue with Microsoft API's - that seen to be taking forever to get resolved between the two companies I am wondering if Adobe could apply more pressure to get this resolved as this could be something covered by the American Disabilities Act - which most companies have gone out of their way to comply......

"so there is no way for a user to research this"
There's no way for a user to type "Windows Photoshop high-dpi support" into Google?

Yes, but the problem was happening before these very high rez screens ever came out, as you can see this thread started three years ago. I have problems on my 17" inch laptop with 1920x1080 and that res has been around a long time. I switched to Draw, as I was getting migraines and dizziness with Photoshop. It was either that or stop working.

No other programs are microscopic on my computer. I have 300 programs installed. NO other programs have a tiny interface, I see fine on ALL of them except Adobe's programs. Because Adobe is a major software manufacturer, people would never even entertain the thought that the interface would not be readable on their screen. I didn't. It is expected that with such a large corporation such as Adobe that this problem would have been seen, measured and dealt with a long time ago. That is why people are so upset.

I disagree David. Adobe has known about this issue for 3 years and has not fixed it or communicated the issue. As Chris mentioned, even Adobe Tech Support has not been educated on this issue so there is no way for a user to research this. Also the definition of quality is "Fitness for Use" and members on this site have indicated the software is not usable with the hardware they have purchased.

High-PPI Windows laptops and monitors have been around for about 5 months. Adobe shouldn't have to warn anyone that PS doesn't support them, you should do your research. Photoshop wasn't retina ready when the retina MacBook Pro was released either.

I am tired of your insulting un-published e-mails to me. BS say you, as your excuse for further redaction. I have read all your responses and know exactly where the BS is coming from.
