P: Support scalable user interface UI for high resolution monitors

I'm using a high resolution monitor(2560x1600). As a result, all the the toolbar fonts and menu fonts are small and hard to see. I do not want to lower the screen resolution as this would defeat the purpose of this monitor.. Will the new CS6 have the ability to increase font sizes to accommidate Hi-Res monitors?

Thanks

I am new to Photoshop Elements. Unfortunately, I am also very nearsighted and unable to easily see the tiny icons and text. Is there a way to make the images larger? Many thanks.,

@17441915 You are defending a defenseless position. Try using your company's products on ANY hi-resolution monitor and get back to me. Are you guys required to use 800x600?

Actually, I'm surprised that Adobe has not addressed this, even with just a comment. My guess is that they are not concerned with individuals who are in the "senior" category, or those with less than excellent vision. We must be a very small part of their user base.

I'm in shock that I bought CS6 and can't read the UI. I called Adobe multiple times and got nowhere. I'm very proud of my new 27" Dell All-In-One system with 2560x1440 totally useless pixels of resolution. But I can't use anywhere near that and still see the tools and menus. And this has been going of since 2006? Can I get my money back? Where the heck are my old PageMaker CDs? It would be nice if someone at Adobe cared enough to respond.

What sort of brilliance is this?

The most expensive graphics software does not work on the most expensive monitors.

Gee whiz guys and gals, just move on to the free or less expensive stuff and let Adobe eat its own cake.

Here are just a few alternatives:

Gimp

Paint.net

Pixia

Seashore

Inkscape

And there is a lot more out there!

Normal display resolution is between 72 and 96, so that's about normal size.
I have no idea why it would be smaller on your system than it is for millions of other users.

I am surprised that Adobe did not consider those with short-sightedness, regardless of age.

I don't know a person who has 40" display.

My 1920x1080 monitor has a ppi of about 102 and I do not have vision problems. The text and tool icons are way too tiny (not to mention the light gray on dark gray text). Why is it I have no problem viewing any other program on my computer?????? Why are all of us complaining about this program????

The UI should be scalable and legible and adaptable to customers needs. Lion OS and 27” screen were available long before CS6 and CS5.
Despite purchasing reading glasses for this purpose alone, I'm left with eyestrain and headaches every time I struggle with Photoshop and this program is the reason I got a high resolution screen.
Perhaps Adobe considera it a minor problem and we'll get a downloadable fix.
