Hello, I usually finetune multicam shot Podcasts. They are already live-(pre)edited with Atem Mini and I recevive a xml from DaVinci Resolve. They are shot in the same environment with the same settings, so I usually make my color correction on Source video rather than on the individual edited clip. So, if I need to mask a 1-hour footage of, lets say, CAM 01 because I want one area in the image to be brighter during the whole pre-edited podcast, I can't do it directly on Source with Lumetri Color effect because it seems that Lumetri Color does not support masking in Source, only on each edited clip in the Timeline. Which would be ineffective to copy paste the Lumetri color correction mask to each clip in the pre-edited timeline.Luckily, I found other workarounds for this, like moving in timeline the clips corresponding for CAM 02 and CAM 03 on Track 03, leting the clips of CAM 01 on Track 01, then adding between these two - on Track 02 - only the mask (png/psd), a long track woth t
The Audiometer in Premiere Pro measures Post-Fader but if I use track-effects and set them to Post-Fader they are not measured by the Audiometer. In my case I often activate the Limiter in the Dynamics-Effect and I set it to Post-Fader because I want to limit my final Mix-Fader adjustments. The Audiometer still shows clipping while the Loudness-Meter I use after the Dynamics effect does not show any clipping. A workaround is to use another effects instead of the Mix-Fader but this is more complicated and since the Mix-Fader has the option to amplify my sequence up to +15dB it would be nice to use it for adjusting the overall volume to different target levels.
I'd like a feature I can turn on which will tell me if a clip in the timeline is already in use somewhere else. Ideally the clip would change color and also show me which timecode range is in use elsewhere in my timeline. Often with edits using B-roll, it can be easy to accidentualy re-use the same clip twice.
like you solve zoom and move in premiere pro 2024 new update, please solve these also:1- select and move object in program like after effect.2- toggle with shorcut (shift + "+" or "-") like after effect in premiere pro.thank you.
For recording voiceovers in Premiere Pro, I would like to have the following two features:Record the PreRoll time so that I can apply effects such as fades afterwards.(Input: HDSP AES 32 1/2, Livemix with DHD Mixing Console)The ability to mute the input during the PreRoll time.
I am using Premiere Pro 24.4.1 (Build 2). Win 10 64-bit PC with latest updates. The ability to edit transcribed text, and have those changes automatically create rough edits on the video, is really fantastic. I look forward to continued evolution and refinement of the feature.I wish the tool had the ability to eliminate duplicate words and phrases. I'm using Premiere to edit recordings of training I'm receiving via zoom. My teacher is sensational, but has sort of a stutter... sometimes they end up repeating a word or a phrase several times in a row.Essentially, I consider such repeated words to be an example of filler text, though the current tool seems to only search for 'um'.There ought to be a way to batch up the most common errors I encounter and have Premiere search for and reduce them, regardless of punction the transcript process has introduced. For instance, if Premiere transcribed I, I I, or the the, the, there out to be able to replace all those instances with I or the, repect
Hello,There's a thread that's many years old asking if it is possible to apply effects to tracks. There are many answers, none of which are correct. The correct answer is that it is not possible to apply an effects to a track. We can apply effects to Adjustment Layers, but we can't constrain the Adjustment Layer to specific tracks. Adjustment Layers affect all tracks below. This then necessitates nesting sequences, which massively slows down the creative process. Since we can't see/edit the clips in nested sequences, we're flying blind. I can't stress enough how Premiere consistently fails to provide an efficient workflow. Basically everything in Premiere takes ten times longer than in Sony Vegas. The only reason I am using Premiere is because Vegas has very poor support for formats. I/O in Vegas is absymal. But workflow in Premiere is abysmal. Now I am anticipating responses from hardcore Premiere fans, asking questions like "Why would you want that?" and making statements li
I frequqently have to slice up a long clips into shorter ones. I put the long clip on the timeline, trim it to the start/end points of each clip to export, then select the range and export each one, giving it a new filename. After trimming the clips and setting export defaults I can do all tasks with keyboard shortcuts EXCEPT actually sending the job to Media Encoder. Here's what would eliminate having to mouse down to the export buttons. FIRST: Replace the "Send to Media Encoder" and "Export" buttons with a single button with a drop-down that changes the default action to either Send to Media Encoder or Direct Export. (This would also avoid the confusion that sometimes happens when accidentally clicking the wrong button.) THEN:When file name is entered, the first strike of the "Enter" key sets the name (as it currently works). If there's no mouse movement or other keyboard input, the 2nd strike of the "Enter" key executes the default e
as for now, if i want to check few options for backgrounds elements animation etc. there is no option to make a quick check like A-B test, or to have the options to keep clips on the timeline in a "muted" state so I can turn them on later as I progress with my movie . i need to put the different Backgrounds in different tracks and then disable/enable a WHOLE track at a time so I can see which BG or element is better. in this case the whole track is disabled and generally on one track there are many other elements which needs to stay visible.there should be an option, like in music DAWs to "mute" or "unmute" one clip out of a track and to make the selection gray while it is not visible.Thank you
Hi,We're a post house in NY, and more and more clients are requesting extensive localizations of their edits. This means copying and pasting the translated sentence from an Excel file into Premiere.I understand that there are scripts out there that allow this with mogrt files. But many of our clients require superscripted trademarks in their text, and mogrt files don't handle special characters well.Premiere already allows the export of graphics as text in a .csv. Why not reverse-engineer it?It would be wonderful if Premiere could import a CSV file and replace all the existing text in the timeline. What would be even nicer is if Premiere lets the user select which column should be imported. That would be especially handy with CSV files that contain multiple columns in several languages. I hope my prayers are heard!Best and thanks!
Hello, for reasons unknown, when I use my middle mouse it now zooms the video in and out rather than move the video frame by frame. Any advice on how to remedy this issue? Thanks
Took me 20 minutes to select a location on my hard drive. This is insane. Why do you people try to reinvent Windows and other OS explorers?, you never get it right. Ideas: Allow a user to copy and paste a path. Wow, all other software does this. Give an option to select the "current path". Path of the prproj file. Give a browse option, common dialogs are meant for that purpose (you don't need your own silly design) Lastly, use standard interface guidelines. That's a thought.. Sorry if I sound like a troll, but jesus!
I don't have a perfect solution for this yet, but just to get the ball rolling, oftentimes when my effects control window is narrowed due to having the timeline part of it expanded, the various effect parameters and the keyframe adjustment buttons overlap and get bunched up. Way more often than not in this scenario I am wanting to click previous, new or next keyframe rather than adjusting the effect parameter. But the parameter will always override (as though it's sitting on top) and so I then have to re-expand out the left side of the EC window to be able to hit the buttons, then narrow it again so I can get back to fine tuning the position of keyframes on the right side. Here's a video demonstrating this: I would love for the keyframes hitbox to always override the parameter hitbox. Or for Premiere to somehow dynamically alter this.Does this make sense? Maybe there's a better solution but this has been a big annoyance with editing in Premiere for the last 1
Since the 24.4 update, there is now a large useless blank space next to the name (or even if names are turned off, it's still there) which is really frustrating to not be able to quickly see at what point the waveform is hitting the 'ceiling' on the left channel. I want to quickly be able to see how much room I have left and it's far less intuitive than previous versions with this big blank space. I'd suggest reverting it to how it was, or at least putting a distinct thin line where the bottom of that red box is to show the ceiling of that channel.
I would love to be able to disable/remove the source/program zoom bars/behavior. I never use them and many times I enable them accidentally when trying to zoom into the timeline. Thank you!
I updated my desktop to Premiere 24.4.1 and kept my latop on 24.3. I initially had an issue with the new color palette but figured since you can change 24.4.1 to "Classic", there would be no issue. But the selection marker is demonstrably smaller in the latest version and harder to see. The attached screenshots show the same project with the same clips selected. On one it's obvious and on the other, not so much. I've never struggled so much to find my place in a timeline. Making the marker larger would help tons and probably not have so many users complaining about the colors. Thanks
The new audio crossfade handles in premiere suck. It keeps selecting the clip when I'm selecting the handle. This wasn't an issue with the previous handles, they were easily selectable
As a documentary editor, I'm really loving the text-based editing workflow, and it has helped me out a ton. However, there are a couple of things I'd really love to see added to the existing Text window. First, It would be amazing to see direct integrations with Chat GPT or another AI that could automatically manipulate the trascript based on prompts. I'm already doing this somewhat by exporting transcripts directly into Chat GPT and generating ideas for edits...but an integrated window within Premiere that could respond and create rough cuts based on the transcript would be insanely helpful. 🙂 Secondly, I am consistently using the search feature to remove unnecessary words and phrases all at once. One thing I would really like to see is the ability to identify and remove back-to-back repeated words when someone starts and stops. Additionally, identification of common unnecessary phrases like "I mean" or "you know" would be somewhat helpful. Loving the upda
Option to set default marker length. Or a keyboard shortcut to extend length of marker. At least enough to be able to see the label's text.
Hey friends, It's time to bring one of the best hacks of audiobooks to Premiere Pro. The beloved 1.1-1.5x playback speed. I had the idea today that it would be nice to have some slower shuttle speeds (JKL keys). Intead of just 1x, 2x, 3x, etc. It would be nice to have 1.2x - 1.5x. Sometimes 2x is just too fast to understand everything that's being said in an interview, espcially if the interviewee is speaking quickly. If you have 8 hours of interview footage to review, 1.5x would save you over 2.5 hours.
Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere, I tried a search but nothing came up. The EDL export options in Premiere are in need of an update. In the world of features we need to be able to export formats beyond CMX3600, such as File 129. Additionally, on the sound side, we need to be able to export more than 4 tracks per EDL. We should be allowed to export as many tracks as we want in a single file. Lastly, we need the ability to save preferences, same as we can for workspaces and project view settings. We make EDL's for picture and sound, both are very different. Having to manually adjust the settings each time we go to export an EDL is not ideal. Thank you!
Hi! In Premiere Pro, I I would like to request and suggest that there be a language recognition function in Hungarian language on the Create captions from transcript mode. Tank you very much! Gergő
Hello are there any plugin(or other way to do it) that would help me in creatingvisual fx..like "video synth" to create colors, noise, and plugin that video react to audio input?i want it in premiere, no after effect!thanks
Another really problematic thing: the hotkeys for "Step Forward / Backward 1 Frame" don't actually operate in frames. They operate in whatever time units the Timeline is set to. So, if the Timeline is set to Show Audio Time Units, the hotkeys only step forward or back by one audio sample. How is this helpful?Apparently, if the Timeline is set to Show Audio Time Units, there's no way to snap the current time to whole frames. Dragging the edges of clips does snap to frames, but when clicking in the Timeline to change the current time (location of play head), the cursor only snaps to audio samples.Really, the limitations of the Premiere UX just defy all rational expectations. Compare to Vegas, which has no problems A) zooming in to arbitrary levels of magnification, B) snapping to whatever the user wants to snap to, regardless of anything else, and C) accurately displaying continuous thumbnails.Really, Premiere is just such a huge disappointment.
I have searched and googled, but still haven't found anything. Is there a keyboard short cut / is it possible to assign a short cut to the Lumetri Auto Color correction? I understand it is not possible at the time being to auto color to multiple clips, but I hope to find a better way than to use the mouse and press the button in thep lumetri pannel for every clip in the sequence. Thanks.
