Feature Requests

It would be great to be able to find and replace text strings in columns in the project panel for batch editing of sequences, clip names & metadata. The use cases for this would be:  When duplicating and renaming new versions of edit sequences To rename selections of clips or sqeuences To batch-update metadata in visible columns in the the Project panel It would be useful if the find and replace dialog had checkbox for 'selected items only' - and if I'm being greedy - a preview of the update, and if I'm being super-greedy: regex support.

If anyone at Adobe R&D gets this, please create a program like Pictory. You already have Adobe Stock, you created Firefly (not released yet but its Beta is awesome). Pictory has no competition. Adobe CC software kills performance on my computer because of the rendering time from the software. In After Effects when you choose frames or timecode as the time display format in the timeline it displays the playhead position in your primary units (e.g. frames), and shows the alternative measurement (e.g. timecode) beneath in smaller type. I'd like to suggest that a similar thing could be implemented in Premiere. The use case is that it's useful to see at a glance where you are in a timeline in both units, for example client notes tend to use timecode, whereas for animation I'm often working in frames. I'd suggest that the alternative display was shown to the right of the primary playhead position. I'm aware that AE only has 2 time unit display types, whereas there are 4 I think in Premiere. Perhaps for frames and feet and frames the alt display would be timecode, and for timecode the alt would be frames. Or maybe the user could just alt-click through both to select which is show for either. This is a QoL suggestion, but would make a fair difference to my working da

Hello, Working in Animation here. Roughly 1000 panels/jpeg in an ep coming from storyboard pro. It would be great if Premiere could create proxies from PSDS to jpegs, so we can have access to the psds if needed but would work with the lower res prints (jpeg) for most of the work.

Hello, I'm a user from Istanbul Turkey. Even in a free application such as Capcut, automatic writing and voiceover are available thanks to Turkish language support. Do you think of putting such an update and language pack? Wouldn't it be great if you did something like this?

Curious if anybody knows of any supported HDR photo file formats, such as JPEG XL or AVIF, or if they're coming any time soon. I have a photography YouTube channel and I think it would be really cool to include TRULY 10-bit HDR photos in my videos, since ACR now supports HDR photo editing. I've tried using .TIFF and other lossless file formats, but they don't retain their contrast or color depth, and require heavy adjustments in Premiere to get them to look anywhere near how they look after editing in ACR, and they never hit their HDR peak brightness for highlights.

Just wondering if there's an option in preferences to change the color of the interface text. It used to be yellow and now it's more difficult to see.I notice the blue text across the entire range of updated programs: AE, PP, Photoshop, etc.So is it a setting in the cloud itself that would allow me to change the color back to yellow?If not, not big issue, I'll just have to get used to it. Love the new interface in any case. Much more responsive with no issues.Thank you, Adobe!

In speech to text Adobe offers all other nordic languages except finnish and icelandic. I'm writing from finland and I'm eager to to know when finnish is going to be added to supported languages?

I am currently editing about 3/4 short videos per day and I am running into this issue that is causing me a little bit of headache. I auto-transcribe the footage, create captions out of it and style it like so: But for bigger words, since the captions are quite large, it ends up breaking in two lines: I know that the fix is pretty simple, I just make the font size smaller, but is there any option inside Premiere to auto-adjust the font size to fit the text box? I've seen mobile apps doing that for captions but couldn't find it inside premiere. Any ideas/opinions are much appreciated!

The Project Manager feature should have two new features implemented.1. Retain the project's folder structure set on the original drive in macOS Finder or Windows Explorer in the new destination. Throwing every file and every asset into one messy folder negates the organizational skills that many editors implement into their work.2. During the transfer process, update the file paths for each file and each asset used in sequences to reflect the new volume that the project is being transferred to. Relative file paths need to be implemented for this transfer process to work properly. It makes no sense to move a project to an external drive only to open the project afterwards and have to relink everything. What a waste of time.

Hello. Especially with Frame.io integration, I'd love to improve the Marker flexibility in Premiere. Frame.io marker import works great for notes on sequences, but I'd love to be able to post a two-hour-long clip and have someone make markers on it, then import those markers back onto the clip. The ideal improvement would be to be able to copy-paste markers at will, from the Marker window, to and from whatever sequence or clip I choose. If that was the case, I'd be able to do what I want with the current Frame.io integration. However, I have no batch-import/paste option for Clip Markers. If I could also download the clip TXT file and import those markers as clip markers, that would work too. I'll take whatever I can get!

Hello! While the audio remix tool is great, the "endpoint" of the new duration feels entirely subject to the tool's processing (and I've found it's rarely able to hit the end exactly where needed). To fix this, what if the click and drag featured all processable endpoints for more precision in where the audio will end? This could help mitigate the tool auto-filling a few seconds in either the front or end at what seems random - you'd get to decide if it will be a little longer or shorter. 

I understand that we can set the interval and quatity for autosaves, but I think something that would really help would be intelligent autosaves that take place alongside or in lieu of interval autosaves. 1) When rendering the timeline, if the render time is estimated to be 15 seconds or longer, take the project pre-render and save it while render takes place. The autosave would not include the renders. 2) Trigger an autosave if there has not been timeline activity for more than 15 seconds while Premiere is still the active application. 3) When Premiere detects it is not the active window, an autosave triggers. The software can already tell it's not the active window because playback on a second monitor can be disabled when not active. This can be used in combination with the interval autosave in the following manner: If an autosave has taken place within 50% of the current potential intelligent autosave trigger, the intelligent autosave is postponed. Smoothness keyframes would make it possible to stabilize just certain parts of a shot, smoothly transitioning out of Warp Stabilizer at parts of a shot that don't need stabilization, or that cause stabilizing issues because of a fast moving subject in the foreground, for example.  

Please add UI scaling like Adobe has done on Photoshop. On my high resolution display, the Premiere Pro UI is too small. I've set Photoshop scaling to Large and that is perfect with my display. Thanks.

Hey guys, it would be awesome to have a button next to the reference viewer in the comparative view to set the actual position of the playhead as a new reference frame. Maybe you can safe these positions and show them as small thumbnails under the reference viewer to easily jump around between different reference frames.  It's a real payne in the ass to jump through the whole timeline to copy the TC to the reference frame and then losing the actual position where I stopped working.  To have something like that would really help in the color correction workflow.

Pois, por exemplo, se fiz diversas modificações em uma legenda para construir ela corretamente, é óbvio que quero ela gravada no vídeo final. Atualmente estamos enfrentando um volume muito maior de envios para redes sociais e com isso muito menos tempo para revisão e muito menos situações onde podemos precisar da legenda exportada separadamente. Não deixar essa opção previamente selecionada faz com que diversos vídeos sejam entregues sem legenda, mesmo ela feita. Também é preciso pontuar que muitas vezes as modificações que fazemos na tela de renderização não ficam salvas e isso aumenta a chance de que a legenda não seja gravada.

While there is a shortcut to Export, there is currently no consistent way that I know of to exit the Export mode. Hitting ESC works sometimes, but if you make settings adjustments or click outside of the window, hitting ESC to exit stops working. As far as I can tell there is no shortcut to switch back to "Edit" mode. I would like to be able to hit a keyboard shortcut to exit Export mode without having to use my mouse to click "Edit". I feel like there should be a way to assign the modes to a shortcut. Thanks!

it would be *super useful* to be able to read and change label colours for clips on a timeline. I'm trying to create a panel which would give you stats on the active timeline such as how much screen time each clip label has (useful for editing documentary content where you want to balance out running time for each contrib), highlight any clips that match a filter (eg, that have "_PREVIEW" in their file name), etc. This is currently impossible though without access to that property.
