Prior to the big controversial Premiere Pro export window UI update, the default preset was always 'Match Source - Adaptive High Bitrate'. However, now that we have the new UI, Premiere Pro seems to always default to 'High Quality 1080p HD'. I think that 99% of the time, most users would want to Match Source. Can we get the default export preset to be Match Source again please?? Thanks
When right clicking on a clip in the timeline to "reveal in project" or "reveal in finder", I would suggest the location in the menus is in the same place on the right click menu. Currently the one in the timeline is at the bottom of the right click menu and the one in the project folder is at the top of the right click menu. Continuity in this area would speed up my workflow. Thank you
Hi all.A very useful feature would be, in the "timeline display settings" menu to have a third option in addition to "minimise all tracks" and "expand all tracks" to have an option that would "fit tracks to timeline" and do this evenly.
If you enter Japanese characters in the CC library search, it will not be inline. Please support inline input in Japanese.Premiere 23.2.0 (build 69)Windows 11 CCライブラリ の検索で日本語の文字入力をするとインライン になりません。日本語でのインライン入力への対応をお願いします。Premiere 23.2.0 (ビルド 69)Windows11
Make camera blur gpu accelerated. Why? Would speed up editing quite a bit instead of having to wait for it to render.
Previously, it was possible to quickly create a new project in a specific place by entering the path and a filename in the Project name field in the new project window. i.e., Instead of entering a name in the first field and selecting a path in the second field, it was possible to simply enter "D:\Projects\My Project\Project Name" in the Project name field and the project was created in the path ""D:\Projects\My Project\Project Name.prproj". On the new project creation screen, this is no longer possible. The save location for a new project must be chosen using the Project location dropdown -> Choose Location..., and attempting to enter a path in the Project name field results in an error.
Can all master clip meta data trasnfer to subclips? Making subclips from master clips that have detailed logging in many columns. Noticed text I entered into comments, log note, and a custom field for alpha numeric take label do not get transfered to the subclip. This is bad. There is helpful info there. But some like name, scene and description do? Anyway to get all the info to follow from master clip to subclip, especially my custom field for take? Sometimes you need more than a number. Please Adobe...I would REALLY love it if I could make my captions CONTINUOUS in Premiere Pro without (1) using a 3rd party software, or (2) manually dragging every caption on the timeline. The continuous captions are more pleasing to the eye and give people more time to read them.
Hey Premiere, I'd like to put some film grain on this video. Premiere: No Is there any work being done to add film grain effects within Premiere without relying on third party plugins? Otherwise I think this is silly that this folder is titled "Noise & Grain" with only a very simple Noise filter available. It would be great to have a more sophisticated grain filter with film presets for 8mm, 16mm and 35mm, like you see in Davinci Resolve.
Would like a dialogue box that allows the ability to choose an existing bin or create a new bin and be able to enter a name for the asset when creating a new sequence or a new adjustment layer in Premiere Pro.
How can we create sequences with zero Audio Channels and Audio Tracks?Three reasons why users require this option:(1) Users making an Animated GIF (no need for audio).(2) Users using Nested Sequences for B-roll (empty audio channel/track from the Nested Sequence gets dragged into the primary Sequence). (3) No reason users should not have the option to remove all audio channels from a Sequence. Currently, the Audio section within the Sequence Settings window does not have the option to remove audio channels by changing Channel Format and Number of Channels (Fig1). Nor is there an option within the Delete Tracks window to delete all video tracks or audio channels (only empty tracks, but it will not delete V1 or A1 if they are empty) (Fig2).The only option to remove all audio channels is during the exporting process (Fig3).
Right-Clicking a Source Clip, you should be able to Paste and Remove Attributes, the same as you can from a clip on the timeline. Backstory:We shot a short video in Anamorphic on the Sony a7siii into a Ninja V+ and loved most of the results. In the source clip from the bin, we changed the PRORES RAW Source Settings to the appropriate Color Space, but to desqueeze, we added a Transform Effect on the source clip to make it less complicated if we wanted to add any effects to the edit, later. We were able to copy both Source Settings and Transform effect and paste them to the 58 clips. The problem is this: when we started to denoise some darker shots and color correct, we realized our aspect ratio looked off. We went back and found we had put in the wrong desqueeze setting on the transform. The solution? Double click each clip, delete the old transform effect, and add the correct transform effect: fifty-eight times. I just kept thinking - how
Just like in other CC software: make it possbile to enter calculations in numeric field.e.g 1920/2 to get 960.
Is there a keyboard shortcut I can enable if I want to scrub my clip in a sequence and hit a shortcut that will pull up the transcript window at the playhead? Or do I always have to find the text first that will reveal the playhead at the timecode in the sequence? I'm finding it very cumbersome when I'm scrubbing to pull up the text window and the transcribe tab and then needing to manually find the text for the audio I want to "text editing". Also I noticed that if I search for a word in the transcribe search bar that I have to scroll down to find where it located the transcribed text from audio...couldn't the window just snap to the results when I search for the specific word?
I have found the text search in the transcription panel to be finicky. It is laggy and/or hard to hit the right area of the SEARCH box to type. I have to click around multiple times until it becomes activated. I am on 23.2 on a Mac Pro (M1) on Ventura.
I use AE comps often inside PP. I also change the name of my AE comps many times reflecting the nature of the production process. The naming convention is always stuck inside PP as the initial label. I'd love to see this refresh on the PP side when an AE comp is relabled.
Hello my friends, Wouldn’t it be cool being able to take advantage of ADOBE’s own data-hosting-services ?ADOBE’s Video-Player (CCV-Player) can currently display video-clips, but it doesn’t seem possible to switch from Chapter Marker to Chapter Marker, nor to embed Chapter Markers into H.264-clips, when exporting from PREMIERE PRO (v. 23.1). Tell me if I’m wrong, please. I’d love to.Here is a discussion about this topic : https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-discussions/possible-to-embed-chapter-markers-into-h264/m-p/13585979#M453966 As a result, we could take extra care of users/customers/addressees/recipients/people/audiences by the ability to :- display/list Chapter Markers- point with a link to any particular sequences of a video- choose an output-option between «separated sidecar-file» and/or «embedded Chapter Markers» …All this, working for lightweight H.264 videos, accessible via ADOBE’s CC-Servers. Please share/vote if you agree ԅ
With how common emojis are in social media content, I find it crazy that Premiere doesn't support adding these natively. Even Final Cut has this capabilty... time to sort it out Adobe!! 😂
Wouldn't it be nice if it would be possible to watch realtime loudness measuring in the audio tool? Is it possible to integrate the loudness meter in the audio tool? At that point the loudness meter would be dockable, and always open. That would be a huge improvement. The technology is already in Premiere, but it is to 'far away' to be really usefull.
Since now Premiere can transcribe multiple languages, then it must know how to detect human voice. Then ducking against human voices in footage should be easier compared to the things that it can now do. Just a feature wish.
There's no question about it: in terms of mouse scroll wheel functionality, After Effects is great and Premiere Pro falls flat! Why not give some of AE's basic scroll wheel functionality to Pr? After all, aren't both programs made by the same company and meant to work hand in hand with each other? Great scroll wheel functionality also exists inside Pr itself, but unfortunately, only in the Timeline. The new Text window in Pr 15.1 Beta also adds something never seen before in Pr yet a long time feature of AE: the ability to click-hold the scroll wheel to temporarily invoke the hand tool. This is a GREAT feature! So why isn't it available everywhere in Pr that makes sense? Please see the attached charts which compare scroll wheel functionality in Pr vs AE, and suggests how things could be improved in Pr.
One of the most common UI annoynances I have with Premiere and AE is how if you double click an icon in the Project panel, but you're off by a few pixels, or accidentall de-select a clip, it opens an import dialogue box instead. This import dialogue should only be activated if you are nowhere near other icons. In other words, if the mouse pointer is near an icon, Premiere should impliclty assume you meant to click that icon, and not that you meant to import media.
With people more recently discovering they can work remotely, proxies are very important. With a remote workflow, you'll discover that there is a distinct use for 2 types of proxies. One would be h.265. Cut your bitrate down to 1.5 and now you can send 2 days worth of shoots to an editor. BUT, you can't make proxies in h.264/h.265 for So many pieces of footage because of the audio format. First off, if original footage has no audio, Please Please ignore a mismatch in audio? It's not going to make a bit of difference, even if someone goes to change the volume. It's blank. Great, moving on...No one wants to have to make Another ingest preset just for the same footage where the camera didn't record any audio. And for another suggestion, let me make proxies based on how I've interpreted the footage, rather than what the original was. I got some Canon footage wrapped as MXF and it was recorded as 4 channel. The audio came out fine, so I don't need the camera audio at all. Ju
Editors often need to export a video to different locations, sometimes at the same time. A simple way to greatly improve the Export interface (and possibly the Quick Export window as well), would be to allow users to add multiple export paths from which they can quickly pick and choose every time they export a new video. Please see illustration for all of the detailsNote: using the Media File destination column on the left side is NOT an adequate replacement for the new features being requested since:a) Media File destinations don't sync video and audio settings between themselves, leading to more work and a much higher likelyhood of mistakes whenever the user wants to keeps exports settings the same between export locations.b) It can't be universally applied across projects.c) Selecting one Media File destination doesn't automatically deselect another one that's already selected, leading to more clicks if the user wants to toggle between two or more export locations.
The problem: The region around a timeline transition where you can mouse-to-distinguish between AB Roll, A-side, B-side, and clip-select modes is a little on the narrow side (approx 14px for A-Trims, 12px for AB-Trims, 21px B-Trims) (Demo) Even smaller if you try to do as trim flag in the vicinity of clip label (Demo) This is no big deal when you're working with a single transition -- one wrong click can be fixed with followup. But when it comes to setting up a complex, multi-track asymmetric trim, one errant mouse click can topple your best intentions like a house of cards. It's a source of never-ending micro-agro time suck. You're 8 clicks in to a 13-track trim, flags facing forward, backward, a the perfect feathered edit at the tips of your fingers, when -- vaffan$#@thwak! - you AB trimmed Audio 9, or segment-selected video 3, and you have to start over. (Demo) To make matters worse the very context where you tend to set up a lot of trim flags (tall time
