The fact that Pr always defaults to the last export location, regardless of which project is exported from, is completely illogical. Why would a user ever want to export Project B's sequence into the last used export folder if that folder belongs to Project A, for example? (see illustration 1)There are already about a half dozen FRs that ask for this to be fixed, however since they only offer half baked solutions, I'm posting a new FR, offering a full fledged solution. The solution is simple:Provide a new 'Export' tab in the Preferences window that allows users to define the default location they want all of their projects to export to (both from Export Settings and Quick Export). (see illustration 2)A 'Relative path' checkbox would allow users to make the export path relative to each project. In the illustration's example, the location is set to .\Exports. This means exports from Project A will automatically appear inside a folder named 'Exports' next to project 'Project A.prproj',
That's a pretty essential feature. If we're supposed to design and move graphics there, we need motion blur there.
re activation of timewarp in effects for slowing down footage
Would love the ability to crop an image without having to mask, or search and add Crop from the Effects panel. This sounds silly and lazy, but it’s something I’m doing over and over in sizzle editing, where I have to make all graphics, animations and mock ups for advertising, for example. Please consider adding Crop into Effect Controls. A 4-point polygon mask makes a small box and you have to drag the points. (holding shift, and getting it just right visually) I want Crop embedded because I want to adjust the edges with numbers, quickly. Also, a request for the order to be 'Top' on top:TopLeftRightBottomA cropper can dream... 🙂Thank you!
Everytime I open my Team Project, Mercury Transmit Software render is activated. I always have to switch to GPU CUDA Render, close my timelines and open them again. Otherwise my timelines does not playback. It does not matter if I open the Team Project on my workstation or my colleague opens it on his one.WIN 11 ProPremiere Pro 23.1.0Studio driver version 526.98NVIDIA RTX 3090
Scenario:I'm editing a video that is a documentary-style film about someone's life. I have four interviews that are ranging from 15-40 minutes. The application of the idea:I'm going through each interview and there are significant pauses between answers which makes playing through the edit more time-consuming. I've already trimmed big pauses out but there are still smaller pauses (5-8 seconds) that I'm going through.Could the team create a function that would trim the video based on the volume level of the clip? So, any clip that didn't meet a certain threshold of decibels would be eliminated. Obviously, there would be a cushion/sensitivity slider so the cut isn't made directly when the person talks, this gives them a margin. But this function could automate tons of time going through and trimming parts of the video.
when drop or apply a effect to Essential Text at Essential Graphics Panel, can not click the effect layer to move up or down or drop to group ,only way is go to effect Controls panel ,click the effect ,then move up or down.but Premiere pro 2022 could.
Using the Essential Sound Panel to add effects creates a specifc effects chain that follows the layout of the panel: Repair effects > Dynamics > EQ > Hard Limiter. If you save a preset, it will reverse this order, creating a completely different mix. This is not just limited to user presets - it applies to the built-in presets as well. The only way around this is to manually rearrange the effects every time.
These are constantly covering up the waveforms, making it difficult to edit audio, unless you zoom in and/or increase the track height. Here's in image to show just how troublesome this can be:https://i.imgur.com/QwzkSeO.pngThe ideal solution would also have an associated shortcut, for easy toggling on/off, just as we have for audio track names. This is item 96 on my spreadsheet.https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1dVJb7kI_ZETLavrplfARgn9gL8HUpvkq6A0jCPxqA3w/edit#gid=1133868629
Audition has FANTASTIC fade handles. I need the same kind of fade handles in Premiere Pro. Thanks.
Export workspace was a pure stupid idea. Editing for 35 years, I have never seen something so stupid. I need to get to the export dialog without leaving my edit workspace. Put the Export back in the Windows selection in the Edit Workspace. I have to leave the application just to export a sequence, because the Export workspace is unusable!@!!! Or, let the Export dialog box overlay on the personally created edit workspace. I can't work like this and going back to version 21. You can tell the Engineers are NOT editors. Also, the buttons under the video windows do not stay mapped, they get lost every restart.I don't NEED ANOTHER WORKSPACE FROM ADOBE! I use my workspace that I've created over decades, now let me export from my workspace again. Please!!!!I bought a $3500 M1 Max to find 3 layers of video have to be rendered. WHAT? 32 cores of GPU and Premiere can't play back more than one layer of video with 32gig of ram and M1 Max 64 core CPU? Why did I buy such a big engine for your tiny tra
Make playhead return to original position like in Adobe Audition for speed up editing
Uninterrupted playback, playing video or audio in the timeline, have the option of letting you jump to different spot in the timeline, while keeping it playing.
Weird idea, but how about fixing, say, the top 200 bugs in Premiere Pro that cause your users to randomly lose hours of time every day?Today - a fairly typical day - time ramp caused the preview to go blank until I turned off hardware acceleration; audio didn't appear in a nested sequence; the first few seconds of audio played in a sequence at double speed (until I turned off the default input device - wtf). Some of these bugs have been in Premiere Pro for *years*.Yesterday there were others. Tomorrow there will be more.I'm sure this won't get loads of votes, but it's still the right thing to do.
Please re-enable Media Duration in Icon View inside Premiere Pro's Project Panelhttps://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-discussions/media-duration-in-icon-view-premiere-pro/td-p/12606259
Allow not only color code the clips but also the tracks, which would override clips color (so every time you add a clip to a certain track, that clip takes the track color. Very useful for audio, specially when lots of tracks) Also, the audio track faders should be same color of the track.
When using Paste Attributes there should be an option to overwrite any effect that's already on the clip rather than just automatically duplicating it and requiring me to go in and manually delete the old instance of the effect. This would be extremely useful because sometimes I make subtle changes to only a couple of parameters within an effect while leaving the rest of them intact. Having an overwrite option would allow me to make adjustments to effects and then paste them in bulk to other clips without having to then go through each one individually to make the changes.
If you have altered a clip with the Warp Stabilier and your clip now has a Warp Stabilizer "Frame not analyzed" watermark warning, Premiere Pro should warn the editor this is there before and output. This would avoid this watermarked shot being rendered into an export before the editor could fix it. In fact any undesirable thing like a watermark banner should be presented to the editor before an export. In the end I would rather have a shot export WITHOUT the Warp Stablizer at all than to have it export with a watermark.
To prevent accidentally exporting with a track disabled, show a warning before exportShow a warning if Warp Stabilizer is not analyzed before export
Premiere Pro needs to ability to set the Color Space and Gamma of individual sequences. Rec 709 for HD, Rec 2020 for UHD, P3 for Cinema work, etc. There does need to an an HDR switch for Color Spaces that support it.Mercury Transmit needs to respect those settings and output without alteration or conversion.
Just like the Keep the fun parts option in Audition
We import a lot of stills (stock images) into 1080 sequences. Most of these are not 16:9.We can use "Set to frame size", but then need to scale them up to fit width. It would be helpful to have the option to "Set to Frame Width".
Global search for markers would be a very important feature. This has been requested by many editors going back to 2015 and still nothing. Markers are virtually useless if they can only be searched within a clip or sequence. If i'm looking for the marker "cat" and i don't know where it is, there's no way to find it. And that is the essential function of a marker - to aid in the search for a moment within footage. To search all clips or sequences individually for a long form documentary is impossible.
It is always necessary in TV work, the duration of several blocks of a program to match the programming times. I think that implementing a calculator in Premiere would be very useful.Siempre es necesario en trabajos de TV medir la duración de distintos bloques de un programa para cuadrar con los tiempos de programación. Creo que implementar una calculadora en Premiere sería muy útil.
Better track management on timeline. -- Nest audio tracks-- Un-nest feature to restore-- Change order of tracks, drag and drop up and down-- Ability to nest several tracks (shift click or command click to select)-- Track selection box, draw it around the area of tracks you want to edit without effecting any clips or audio outside of that box selection. For example you might want to move a chunk of files, or only operate on a small section. Right now you only have all tracks forwards or all tracks backwards of the selection. Yes you can use the lock on tracks but that locks the entire track not just a section of a track.
