Please for the love of all that is holy, get rid of the new project creation page. It's just bad. Why do I need to see these clips from who knows what. You know nobody is going to use them. This page should be much simpler and more straight forward. I don't know who you created this for but it's not for professional working editors
The math of Lumetri's operators make it mostly unusable for log grading. Most of them behave linear but use curves/rolloffs and are limited to 0-1 float when you go in their opposite direction value wise.In a more ideal world, to me, Lumetri would always have operators that fit log grading. - Exposure should be offset math, so it's behaves as camera exposure when applied to log footage.- Contrast should be linear instead of s-curve in both directions.- Blacks slider should not create a toe when lifted and inverse toe when lowered. Should act as 'lift' math.- Whites is fine as is.- RGB Curves should also have it's end points act as lift and gain without clip 0-1 just like the seperate Curves effect.- 3way color wheels should be Lift Gamma Gain math instead of curve Shadow/Mid/Highlights. None of the above mentioned controls should clip 0-1 float. Because this would completely break video grades perhaps it's an idea to have a mode switch for Lumetri.By default it would be
Hello!I'm using a ton of speedramps in my editng workflow and this option would be a lifesaver. What do i exactly mean?If you want to do a speedramp on timeline what you have to do is:1. Put all your clips on timeline2. Right click Yellow FX and select Time Remapping > Speed3. Repeat #2 until its done on all clipsIt would be awesome if we could just set default property to whatever we want. It seems to be fairly easy thing to add, but would change a lot.
Hi there! It could be helpful add an option to copy a frame to clipboard.Nowadays, is very common use frames between softwares for create cards, posts, share information in forums, instant message apps, etc...I will be thankful.
I create content for a medium-large corporation (Commerce Bank), whose name is auto transcribed as Commerzbank (the one in Germany). I imagine there are others in similar situations. It would be great to be able to plug in default words, company, or product names for commonly used terms into the AutoTranscribe window so that we don't have to go in and change them line-by-line.
I love the new transcript text editing feature in Premiere Pro. It would also be great to have the option of doing a paper edit for your film using the text editor. So you can highlight text and move it around. The same way you can in Trint: https://trint.com/blog/how-to-tell-your-stories-with-trint It would be so powerful to be able to edit this way within Premiere Pro.
Premise: Allow users to also Ctrl + Click to anchor sound files to in, out, or scale into a preset. I do my editing mostly for YouTube videos, and a constant pain point is doing sound effects. If you want to do lets say for example a Wipe Transition and you'd like to add a quick woosh to it. You need to first apply your wipe. Then find your Whoosh sound and apply it below and time the two of them. The only way to save time in this instance is to create a keybind for your wipe, yet the sound effects are still underoptimized. Maybe if you pay for a premiere service like story blocks your lucky enough to have a built in SFX pannel. Essentially this could be narrowed down by allowing users to not only group together, transform, lumetri, opacity etc... by also allowing this same keyframe data to align with the start of a sound file. Allowing users to save time with small effects or transitions that need sound to add that extra oomph. For Consideration
I've embarrassed myself I don't know how many times at this point by the new export window ignoring in/out points by default. Yes, obviously we need to QC exports, but when the default behavior for the last decade was to recognize in/out points in the timeline, my muscle memory trusts that this range will be honored without taking the extra step to set that on export. It just makes sense... If In/Out Range is defined in the Sequence - Export Range defaults to that If no In/Out range is present - Export Range defaults to Entire Sequence
Since we are in the age of social networks, I ask you to be able to apply motion effects to all titles at once (even randomly), without having to turn subtitles into graphics.A function that allows all text to be selected in one shot (even a tick in the text function, with "apply to all" without manual selection (as CapCut does) and insert automatic effects on texts for animations, without having to put one at a time. Thanks
Please create a button in the shortcut setting that can automatically import the .KYS file, every time I have to go through the instructions again.Even better, have them sync with Creative Cloud and account, so every computer can have them and download them automatically (then you choose them later). Thanks
Essential Graphics opens with Minion Pro as the default font. If I want to use a different font, I have to change it everytime I create a new title. How can I set the default font to what I want ?
Currently, for MOGRTs with placeholder media, you can only add clips from the Project panel. These clips then default to 00:00:00:00 timecode within the template. The current workflow is to either manually seek to the start time you want, create subclips prior to bringing into the template, or pre-render new clips altogether, with those times baked in. A better solution would be to have the ability to just swap template placeholders for clips already in the timeline. Remove the added step of subclipping or timecode seeking altogether. That all happens automatically. Ideally, there'd be no new clip or projectItem created at all. IE, no extra clutter in the Project Panel. Thoughts?
Please add Latvian (and other baltic languages) to the automated transcription.
The ability to convert a text box from point to paragraph (or having them be one and the same and just togglable) would be very nice, especially as I need to do that right now with dozens of them. It's a wonder it's not already a feature considering you can do it in Photoshop and AE.
Hello Adobe team and other users My system status- CPU : AMD Ryzen 5700X- GPU : Nvidia RTX 3060ti- Pr version : Pr 2023 23.1- OS : Windows 10 pro I realized that windows sleep mode not working while Pr in operation.I don't mean that it's about encoding or rending situation. AE(After Effect) , Ps(Photoshop) are all OK for sleep mode. When I am not available at the PC, those become to sleep with my sleep mode time setting of windows Encoding is time consuming job , I think Adobe make Pr not to use sleep mode of windows. My suggestion is this behaviour only should be applied during encoding or rendering. Otherwise, Electricity is spent uselesssly when I frequrently leave place during editing. Actually, I haven't experiece it when I used INTEL CPU i7-4970s. Recently I changed my PC to the new one and now It happens. Maybe professional or commercial business users are not intrested in this topic. But, we have to consider it since our World is suffercin
Hi. I have got an idea to create a new thing while creating new project. When user choose the general setting of project, it will be great to have an option to make sequence setting and have an option to click: "set the same resolution to every sequence wchich are already in project and to every new sequence". It will be big help to projects wchich already exist with sequences with fullHD resolution, when we just want to make similar project, with the samek sequence, but now we have all video in 4K. This is for video makers, who making some repeatable projects like youtube channel video or weddings.
When double clicking footage / pics into the Source monitor, it would be uber helpful if devs could code in left / right arrows to sit at opposite ends of the viewer window in said monitor (like Facebook has when you pull up a pic) so that users could use either the corresponding left / right arrow keys on the keyboard or the mouse to scroll through and view multiple clips / pics in succession without having to leave and return to the bin and double click the next clip / pic to load. It's a major pain in the ass when you want to quickly scan several clips but you have to leave the Source monitor to load the next one. Just about every social media platform and website has these tools in place for quickly scanning through several pics. Not an engineer but, if the tech already exists... Also, get rid of the Save a Copy... function. Redundant and unecessary. Thanks! StanChatsworth, CA
When using Paste Attributes there should be an option to overwrite any effect that's already on the target clip, rather than just adding a second instance of the effect and requiring me to go in and manually delete the old version. This would be helpful to my workflow because in the course of editing I will often make subtle changes to only a couple of parameters of an effect, while leaving the rest of them intact. I then need to apply those changes to multiple clips, for example every instance of a specific camera angle in a multicam sequence, which can easily be dozens of instances in my projects.Having an overwrite option would allow me to make adjustments to an effect on the first clip, paste those changes in bulk to the subsequent clips, and be done with the procedure. Currently I have to either go through all the clips and change each one individually to match the first, or follow up the Paste Attributes use by going through and manually deleting the previous version of the
Neither of these is a big deal, but sometimes it's not intuitive where to find these options... First, would love to be able to change my sequence name in the sequence dialog... and I think it would be more intuitive if you could access the starting timecode option in the sequence settings... Once I found it, it's an easy thing to do... but this option should at least be also available in the sequence settings and the new sequence dialogs... I don't have a clue about how complicated these suggestions would be to implement, so ignore the ideas if these might create problems... I think we can all agree that we don't need more bugs... and Adobe, thanks for listening... and have a happy new year...
The current way to add and manipulate transitions on the timeline is a sort of "guess & check" method, you've got to have the right amount of handle frames before you add it, and the way it is displayed isn't very visually appealing.I propose adding the same functionality that Audition has, where overlapping clips will automatically create a crossfade. This is an incredibly intuitive way of handling transitions, and can also be applied to Video transitions (as is done on other professional NLEs). See attached gif for an explanation of what I mean.Currently, overlapping clips on the timeline will create a cut. For editors that use this functionality as a shortcut (no pun intended), this "auto crossfade" feature would be optional (easy to toggle on/off on-the-fly).I think this would be a great way to increase productivity for transitions, as well as avoid accidentally losing your work by inadvertently overlapping clips when moving things around en masse on the timeline!
there is very usefull command "Move Playhead to Cursor" for Timeline Panel. I wish there will be the same kind of command for Effect controlls panel. So you can very easy move playhead without hovering the mouse up and down everytime you want to move playhead and adjust some parametrs
Something very helpful in Resolve and FCP - the option to live preview any media in the source window. As I hover my cursor of a media file in my project panel, it is a MUCH better experience to have it sync/preview to the source monitor instead of only in the project/bin panel. This makes it easier to identify things in footage and quickly mark ins and outs. Two clicks for every file is a massive disadvantage in terms of speed when going through tons of content.
This is idea 4 of 4 concerning premiere captioning and transcription. Idea:access to per-word timecode data. The fact that clicking a word in the transcription jumps the playhead to that point in the timeline perfectly tells you that per-word timecode data is indeed captured by Premiere! But you can't actually access it as an end user. "Export to CSV" gives you timecoded BLOCKS of text. For scripting and automation purposes, having access to frame-accurate, per-word transcription timecode would be very powerful. API exposure to this data would also be fantastic.
I know I posted this as a feature request a few years ago... but don't think it's been migrated here. I'm in the midst of working extensively with markers and it would be great if you could use a marker with duration to either mark an in and out, or convert to subclip reflecting this duration with a shortcut. Right now I'm marking changes in a sequence from a change list provided by the client. Since the changes are referenced with sequence timecode (instead of marking up the transcript which would have made my life easier...), I'm adding markers with duration for all the changes in the sequence as the timecode reference will be lost as I start cutting things out and adding or rearranging things... And would be useful for creating subclips for selex... Not a life or death situation. I won't threaten to shift to resolve... just hoping other people will upvote this and will see this change implemented in my lifetime.... and the clock
Since vertical (9:16 etc.) productions are becoming more common, it would seem approriate to have the Premiere proxy workflow adapt to this. Yet, when making proxies in Premiere, all of the vertical clips are squashed and I have to go through each of them separately. This is a nightmare. At least the Sony FX line cameras detect the alignment of the camera in the beginning of the take and encode the clip accordingly, so I can't see why Premiere makes a 16:9 proxy for a clip that is 9:16. Just a suggestion. Thanks. Peace.
