Feature Requests

As an Assistant Editor, in Avid, I'll sometimes turn on some tracks (the ones that show timeline duration in 24fps, 25fps, etc.) and use them as "dividers" so I can easily see which tracks are my music tracks, which ones my sound effects should be on, etc. This would be useful in Premiere. The "dividers" should only be as a reference (people should be able to move clips over or under them). It's just helpful, when doing music cue sheets and stems for composers, to easily see, "Oh, there's a music clip that's on the wrong track," "There's a sound effect on the wrong track," etc. In docuseries, I even have to put diagetic archival sound on separate tracks (so I can export an EDL in order to make a music cue sheet). As a workaround, I've locked the top track in my diagetic tracks, and the top track in my music tracks; but I have to unlock them if I have to move something out of them.
Seems that SFP does not work with caption tracks? Seems counterintuitive. Am I missing something or should I make a feature request?
It's simple:The copied attributes of a graphic/type layer should be able to be pasted to another graphic/type/text layer. (ESPECIALLY IN REGARDS TO THE ANCHOR POINT ATTRIBUTES OF TEXT/TYPE)There are countless reddit and adobe forum posts on this subject. HOW is this not a feature yet? I think Adobe wants Text Styles to be a type of solution to this but it doesn't make sense. There's no reason to make an entirely new style for something that is specific to a single project. It should be a simple copy/paste function, no more, no less. What do you guys think? Do you have a solution to this?
It's so frustrating to change the colour for every single clip on the track. Yeah, I know to select everything at once, label it. But wouldn't it be just simple to change the track colour, and whichever file you drop on the track, it changes colour automatically. How easy will that be!
Problem: I've upgraded to an ultra-wide screen external monitor so there's more real estate for Premiere and other programs for editing. However, I've just found out that the UI in Premiere can't be scaled manually - the size of the text and icons (in most cases*) are tied to the desktop resolution. Unfortunately, when changing the resolution settings on my Macbook, the pixel size stays consistent across resolutions. This means instead of the desktop getting bigger to fill my screen when I choose a lower resolution, the desktop gets cropped instead:(Alt text: a picture of an ultra-widescreen monitor, open to the MacOS "System Settings" app. The "Display" menu from the side-bar is selected, and the resolution on the monitor is set to the default 3440 x 1440 resolution. The desktop fills the entire monitor screen as expected. Parts of the image have been blurred for privacy.)(Alt text: a picture of an ulta-widescreen monitor, open to the MacOS "System Settings" app. The "Displ
Please add "Move clip to playhead" command, similar to one in AE or Apple Motion. That would decrease amount of unnecessary mouse clis for a very common clip manipulations in timeline (like moving clips around). Also, not to be confused with existing "Ripple trim to playhead" and similar. I want to move whole clip, not the cut point.
it would be very helpful if adobe could figure out a way to make the saved projects at least backward compatible to a year so when there are issues we don't lose all our work adobe's reason for currently not:The reason backward compatibility is an issue because projects can become corrupt if there are effects used which are included in the newer version but were not present in the older one(s).Our reply: we have experienced that when we used red giant, but they just warned us and let us anyway, which we prefer. there were just missing effects and parts that were highlighted and that was great, easy to fix. but to not have the project at all is devestating. adobe's response:Your idea sounds great to me, as well. If you could spare a minute and share it on the Adobe Community, this might get attention of other users and get included in our future updates. Adobe is trying to include certain features, especially ones requested by long-time users like you.
Scene Edit Detect is *very* useful. Would be great for it to be able to run as a background task.
Please provide a more professional EDL tool. For a docuseries I'm working on, I had to export an EDL to our archival producer of all the archival used in one of our episodes. I had to export six EDLs since I was only able to simplify the sequence to four tracks of video and six of audio. The EDL tool in Premiere (24.6.8 Build 3) can only export one video track and four audio tracks at a time, and CMX 3600 is limited to 999 events (I didn't want to send an incomplete EDL and have the arc producer report an inaccurate cost estimate for the episode). My arc producer requested one unified EDL so I had to use en.editingtools.io and their EDL Converter to merge the EDLs into one EDL. We tried things like exporting an FCP XML or an AAF and bringing them into Resolve, but some of the Source TC ended up as much as 40 seconds off.
The default setting shouldn't be that all the source clips are automatically removed after making multi-cam clips. I have now learned that there is a setting to avoid having this happen, and that should be the default. Often, there are mistakes when using the automation process to make multi-clips, but for some reason undo doesn't get you back to the state before the multi-clips were made so you have to reimport all those files again as far as I can tell. This could be a disaster for someone who is not perfectly organized.
In the latest update (25.2), audio waveforms now respond to the db level. This includes when the clip is muted in the Essential Sound panel. I would like to offer the opinion that the waveform disappearing when muted is not helpful. I love that the waveforms respond to changes in volume, but I think when a clip is muted, there is a better way of denoting that, other than taking away the waveform. I often use a muted clip's waveform when muting and unmuting multiple mics. I would appreciate this at least being a setting I can turn off, as the waveform disappearing is significantly slowing down my workflow on videos with multiple people (and thus multiple mics). I know I should have rung in on this during beta, but I didn't have time to really mess around in the beta this time.
When I generate a subtitle track in Premiere, I have the option at export to either burn them into the mp4 or create a sidecar file.In order to get those subtitles embedded into the video so that they can be enabled or disabled per the viewer's preference in their video player (and without expecting them to keep the srt file along with the video file), I need to use a third party program to marry the video and srt file (I usually use Handbrake).I would like to submit for the development team at Adobe, that this feature should be built into Premiere Pro to improve the workflow and avoid having to use additional software to render the file a second time.
Hi everyone,I often work on videos that have multiple different intros (hooks), so I usually create separate nests for them. What would be really helpful is if Premiere could retain the Track Mixer settings within a nest — and also remember the track height, since both have to be adjusted manually every time, which adds unnecessary extra work.Cheers,Sven
In previous versions of Premiere, when shortening the duration of an audio transition, you could quickly click and drag to make it as short as possible. I did this all the time with Constant Power fades. Typically it was when I wanted to splice 2 pieces of dialogue together - the fade needed to be short and clean, but still smooth. Now, in Premiere 2025, when you shorten a fade with the mouse, it disappears. This has been a major annoyance for myself and for my coworkers who edit similar types of videos. With the amount that we do this type of edit, having to slowly and "manually" change the duration of a fade has been a major time-waster and very tedious. If this could be changed back to the fade becoming its shortest possible duration (2 frames) instead of disappearing, my team would be very grateful. Note: I have already changed my default transition duration to the duration I use most. The 2 frame fade is used second most, but still a ton.
Hi Adobe, if you're listening I just want to add my request for the ability to either disable the zoom when you scroll your mouse wheel when hovering over the program monitor. I seem to spend almost as much time resetting to fit (to centralise) then to 100% as editing. Which in my humble opinion is poor UX. One idea may be to have the ability to allow the users to decide if they want to scrub through the timeline or zoom, or disable. I see a lot of people requesting the new feature rolled back to the scrub function. This idea could be a win, win, win.
For this feature where the gray dialog box appears whenever the mouse hovers over a clip, can we please get a setting to disable this? I understand its use for displaying clip information, but it's disrupting my editing workflow since it often covers audio waveforms and makes it harder to see cut points, and it becomes a real nuisance particularly in complex timelines with multiple tracks. Obviously it's as simple as moving the mouse away from a clip any time it happens, but this occurs very frequently and seeing this hover info over the timeline is something I rarely, if ever, have any need for.
It would be such a great idea and an amazing time saver if you could choose a subject for the Auto Reframe to focus on when there is multiple people in a shot, especially in a podcast setting or something.
I've been struggling with Premiere Pro's built-in audio synchronization tools and honestly, it's quite disappointing. Even with clearly matching audio sources (camera mic + external recorder), Premiere often fails to sync properly, or only syncs partially, creating messy staggered sequences.Meanwhile, PluralEyes 3, a tool that I use since 10years, still does a significantly better job. It syncs faster, more accurately, and with less manual tweaking. Why hasn't Adobe improved its audio sync functionality to match or exceed what PluralEyes has been doing for almost a decade?I just want to be able to place all my video and audio clips on a single timeline, select them all, right click and choose synchronise...Are there any plans to improve this in the near future? Thanks in advance!
Add ability to lock caption tracks as mappable command
When multiple clips are placed in the source monitor, is there a viewer or extension that will always display the contents?
I would like to restore the old style or visual appearance of the Fade In/Out transition in Premiere Pro 2025 and 2026.
why in auto caption's language we don't have persian ?
This will help prevent making adjustments to the a previously highlighted clip and speed up workflow. Is it just me because I am transitioning from Avid? I will adjust the color on a clip for example, then mouse to another clip. After making an adjustment I realize that I didn't highlight the new clip. I then undo, and click the new clip for adjustment....big time waster. If there is already a setting for this, please let me know. Thank you.
Problem StatementCurrently, exporting multiple individually edited clips from a Premiere Pro sequence with all effects and color corrections applied is unnecessarily time-consuming and inefficient. Users who need to export dozens of edited clips must either:Manually set In/Out points for each clip and export one by oneUse Project Manager (which only exports unedited source files)Manually nest each clip individually and export separatelyRely on third-party scripts or workaroundsThis workflow is particularly problematic for:Content creators managing social media clipsEditors delivering multiple revised assets to clientsPost-production teams working with multi-clip projectsAnyone who needs to deliver individual edited clips rather than a full sequenceProposed SolutionFeature: "Batch Export Individual Clips"Add a native function that allows users to export all clips on a timeline as separate files with all edits, effects, and color corrections preserved.Implementation SuggestionsOpti
