I'm working on an ongoing documentary set in the Arctic and doing a number of interviews in different languages. I'm keen to explore using Premiere to transcript from either Icelandic or Finnish into English. There are a number of documentaries being made in the Arctic region currently and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only film maker who'd benefit from these languages being available on premiere.Well done for already adding Norweigan and Swedish.
Hi all,I love Scene Edit Detection, however I've noticed that it's only an option when a clip is on a timeline. I'm wondering if it's possible to add the feature while a clip is in the Source Monitor, prior to bringing down to the timeline? I get that it wouldn't be able to add the cut points, but at least being able to add markers before bringing to the timeline would be great. Thank you!
With prin files added to autosaves and previews, the project folder can become quite messy. The user can organise this into a custom folder, but then if the project is migrated to another workstation, the path to each scratch disk then has to be redefined upon opening. I suggest that when the user defines a scratch disk as a subfolder to the location where the .prpoject file is located, this is saved as a relative file path (e.g ~\Media\Cache) instead of the whole path (C:\Users\Editor\etc...). This is then relinked like any other media after the project is opened after copying to another machine or drive. If simpler to implement, the default "Same as project" option could save in a subfolder with a default name. We currently delete these files before archiving just to keep things clear for the next editor, but that's a shame, autosaves especially could be useful and the size of these files is usually a tiny fraction of the overall project.
It would be so great to have the mulitple camera angles numbered on the toggle multi camera view
Adobe, can you please just add a button, in the button editor for a rule of third guide?
For any work in HDR formats, it would be incredibly helpful to have useful graticles ... the horizontal demarcation lines. And one that would really be of help would be the "graphics white point" set in the Sequence menu. It would also be helpful have at least one other user-settable graticle for HDR work.
i use this feature a lot pls bring it back
Hi Premiere pro is a video editing software that has high capabilities and many users around the world, also include Thailand too. I have problems using it because there is no thai language pack support in the Text-Based Editing. I hope Adobe to pay attention to this problem and develop better thai language pack support, so that Thai users can use Premiere pro more efficiently and comfortably Thank you
Sometimes when I open a project my luts just go offline making all the my clips appear black unless I disable that lumetri colour effect. I would love if there was an easy way to relink LUTs in the same way you relink missing media. The process of manually re-adding each LUT clip by clip can take hours and is a serious killer for me!
Considering the widespread use of the Persian language worldwide, which encompasses a population of approximately 80 to 100 million people, it is crucial to emphasize the importance of this language in software such as Adobe Premiere Pro. Additionally, in recent years, video production in Persian-speaking countries has seen significant growth. Therefore, it is recommended that the Adobe development team consider adding Persian language support in Premiere Pro and implement AI-powered subtitle generation for the Persian language. This feature would not only enhance the user experience for Persian-speaking users but also play a significant role in expanding the use of Adobe software in Persian-speaking countries and strengthening international connections. As much of the video content is produced in Persian, adding support for the Persian language could help attract more audiences and increase the software's functionality.Furthermore, in order to improve communication for Persian-speaking
Lose the Crop option at the top of Effect Controls. You can not move it below other effects, (e.g., Roughen Color Edges, so it doesn't Roughen the cropped edge), and the Crop option under Transform allows softening of edges, etc. which works better with Transitions than the Crop option at top. Also, it takes up valuable space with something redundant. Thanks!
Is there any way to set the default new sequence settings in PP25.2.1?For example; on this sequence dialog, I would like the output to ALWAYS be Rec709, and working Space Also to be REC709, regardless of the media type on the timeline. In my case I have lots of HLG footage I put on the time line, but need everything to be REC709 out. Currently, I change it every time I create a new sequence, but would really like to have a default; As a side note, I wish they would mark the timeline visibly so you can see what it is is (for output color space and working color mode) so you don't have to edit the seq settings to confirm; it doesn't even seem to appear as metadata options for sequences in the project window either.
In Premiere's transcription you have the ability with "filler words" when selecting a particular filler result to "ignore" it. However, with "pauses" this same functionality is missing despite being the same result interface. This would be *very helpful* to implement as sometimes laughter is picked up as a pause, which would be helpful to remove/ignore from the result pool.
I use losts of transitions.. audio and video. Occaisionally I need to remove many , but there is no way to do this except one at a time. Painful and slow. Can we please have feature to select a range of items on timeline, right-click and "remove transitions" ? Thanks.
Hello,I've noticed that the AI used by Premiere for transcription is not very accurate when it comes to punctuation. It often misses commas where there are clear pauses, places periods where a comma should be, or uses commas where a period is more appropriate.Additionally, it struggles to recognize certain words related to 3D software, such as iClone, which it consistently transcribes as "icon" or even "AI icon". At first, I thought this was normal due to the names being uncommon, but when I tried transcribing with Azure and Google, they were able to capture the correct pronunciation of those terms. It would be great to see an update to this AI that significantly improves its accuracy especially regarding punctuation and the recognition of product names, software, and technical terms.
Visual search is amazing. So helpful. But, for me it woud be even more helpful if I could be more granular about what it's targeting. Often I'll know the bin that something I want is in. Or the project. But, when it searches every open project the results are diluted by things I know I don't want (and if you have a bunch of stuff in the project, it can be a massive amount of results. It'd be great to be able to target only specific open projects, or even specific bins. Maybe filters to include or exclude Multicam sequences, Stills, etc?
I really like what you all have done outside of the box and testing on day one. My two suggestions come from the options I have and use with otter.ai which is our current way to auto generate captions that I then clean up. 1. I didn’t see an option how to add speakers to the closed captioning from the transcript. I can do it on the transcript side but then making that into cc names were not included. 2. Give the option of the closed captioning to be 2 lines instead of one easily. I know I can go in there and combine and do return to make them two lines but with otter I can tell it make them to lines and it does without any additional work or time involved. This looks very promising thus far but the two above are what I need at my job to do the entire captioning process in Premiere. Thank you for listening.
It's possible to add speaker names in Premiere Pro's backend but not in the caption track where it matters. This should have already been added in.
I've used Premiere Pro under Windows for several years. However, a major shortcoming, IMHO, is that Premiere's import source folder location defaults to the folder last used. As I work on many Premiere projects simultaneously, workflow would be much improved if the import source path were saved with each project. Currently, each time I switch to a different project, I have to take the time to find the source content folder associated with that project. Prior to Premiere versions released this year, I used a wonderful third-party add-on called "Compass" which enabled Premiere to save a unique import path with each project: https://knightsoftheeditingtable.com/compass Unfortunately, with the latest versions of Premiere, Compass no longer works. I contacted the Compass author who tells me: "From my knowledge, import option is not supported on latest versions of Premiere Pro (API changes), that is why removed it from Compass." Could this capability be restored to P
Hi, I'm getting older. I can no longer tell if I've properly selected a clip in a bin or project window, because the selection or highlight indication is only ever-so-slightly lighter than the background color of the window. There used to be a way to change this; is there now? I'm using the "Dark" or middle appearance setting. This screenshot actually enhances the contrast that I see on my screen, but what if I wanted the selected clip to be highlighted in a different hue?
Hello, I've been using Premiere for a decade, instead of adding new features no one asked for, why don't you fix the program at it's core. Every update has new bugs and glitches that make basic tasks frustrating. All I want is the software to work as intended, is that too much to ask? There is a reason many editors I work with are leaving for Davinci Resolve. Fix the program or I'll be leaving as well. - Kyle Couture
Premiere 25.2.1 (build 2)Mac Studio: 32GB, Sequoia 15.3.13 monitors Recently you added (new) CROP controls for any item on the timeline (into the effects controls panel. Generally, a good addition! Only problem is, unlike adding (old) CROP from the effects panel, you can't click on the object and see all four adjustment handles. That’s a really easy way to adjust cropping on-screen. Now I have to fiddle with percentage numbers for each of the four aspects. In the new crop version, can you simply group them together as one menu item the way they are from the effects panel? Then you could adjust left right top bottom by using the adjustment handles on screen. Thanks.
Hello all! Long time reader, first time poster. Doing some digging into trying to have a sequence name appear on screen much in the same way the Clip Name effect does. However instead of the clip name, I'm hoping to have it say the Sequence Name instead. The project I'm working on goes through many many sequences with different versions and codes embeded within the sequence name, and having that crutial bit of info automaically fill in with an effect would be amazing. I know Text Overlay exists in the export settings, but It would be ideal if I could apply this effect to just one clip (in this case the slate at the top of the video) rather than have it on screen for the whole thing. Is there such an effect that exists? It would be amazing for our use case. Thanks for reading!
As the title suggests, I'd like the option to have Lumetri Scopes ignore the subtitles. I can't think of a situation where I'd want my subtitles to be part of my colour grade, so it'd be nice if (by default) Lumetri ignored any subtitle/caption tracks.
It would be great to have a quick way to delete all dialogue from a specific speaker in the Transcript panel. For example, once speakers are labeled, we should be able to right-click "Speaker 3" and choose “Delete all.”This would save a lot of time for editing interviews, podcasts, or multi-speaker content—especially when certain voices need to be removed entirely.
