Feature Requests

There needs to be a keystroke that one can copy and paste a portion of an edit from the In Point to the Out Point, REGARDLESS of what is selected. right now you can press CMD C to copy a selection, but not necessary what is from IN to OUT on a sequence.  One needs to deselect (shift CMD A) to remove a clip selection, then the IN and OUT can be copied and Pasted, otherwise the selected clips is copied, not the In to the Out. I've been frustrated with this for some time.  

Aloha Adobe, The new colors for labeling clips are way too dark. Although there is a long list of color options  the colors are too similar of shades. Please make colors more distinct. It is very hard for us editors to organize our timelines using colors that are so dark and similar. Yellow and brown are indistinguishable. All the greens are too similar. Even mango looks like magenta.

Came accross some info about Intel CPUs and their decoding capabilities and was surprised to find out Davinchi Resolve has so many more formats to decode with the iGPU. I thought there was some limitation in the CPU itself that it cannot decode certain formats but as it appears it's the software and there are no limitations except the software developer's desire.Can Adobe make Premiere Pro decode these formats with the iGPU as well? Why hasn't it been done yet in 2024? Feeling ashamed for Premiere Pro...

I would love to have the Dynamic Text Box in Premiere just like Adobe Express where the text fits to the bounds of the text area.I know there are some scripts that attempt it, but a native feature would be great. 

I miss having a garbage matte. I realize that we now have similar tools in the Opacity controls, and in just about every effect that has Opacity controls. But what I don't like about those is that you can't grab a line between two vertices and move it straight or expand it, etc. Is there a way that you could make these masks behave more like the ones in After Effects? I have a hard time trying to get a square box even using the box mask in Opacity. Maybe this is just a lack of user knowledge on my behalf, but it would make sense that they should behave the same as they do in After Effects.  Thanks for hearing me out.

Hi, I work with shows that have hundereds and hundreds of subtitles that need to be tweaked and it would be a huge time saver for Selection Follows Playhead to work for the subtitle layer on the timeline. 

I want to suggest Keyframe Control for Motion Graphic Templates in Premiere Pro.For my use cases, I often reuse Motion Graphics. Therefore, I create Motion Graphic Templates inside After Effects and use them in Premiere Pro. However, I sometimes need to retime or reposition Animations for a specific project. Then, I have to adapt the Motion Graphic Template in After Effects and thereby create a new version and takes some time. I suggest the ability to add and alter keyframes of Motion Graphic properties directly inside Premiere Pro.  Here's an example I have a lower third graphic with a position in and position out animation. I created these animations in After Effects with keyframes. However, when cutting my interview, I want to have the out animation start earlier. Normally, I would just move the out keyframes a little bit closer to the beginning. But as this is a Motion Graphics template, I can't alter the keyframes. It would be great to be able to choose left, right or center alignment for each line. Certain vendors and clients prefer specific data in various positions around the screen. If, for example, I have a clip name on my upper right hand corner, som clip names may end up runing off the screen if I don't place it far enough to the left, potentially losing critical information (like a version number of an VFX etc). If I could right align, I wouldn't have to worry about that.

Hello Everyone,I being a video editor, I am using premiere pro from past 6 years and I used to edit multi camera videos like 4 to 5 camera shoot. So to Synchronize the audio & video together I have to use a 3rd party app called Plural Eye. when Adobe announces the Audio & Video Synchronize feature I was very happy that i shouldn't be using any 3rd party app now, but that feature is not worth using like you can easily use it if you only have 1-2 audio and Video files but what about when you have 100 video clips and audio files? its a mess right. But if you use Pluyal eye is does the work with in seconds and hassle free. I should suggest Adobe to use the similar technology what Plural Eye is using to give more enhanced service.

The ability to drag an effect icon from the Effect Controls area to a bin is an amazing function that AVID has offered.I was trying to help a friend, who is new to Premiere, but an AVID editor (we used to work on AVIDs together) and I realized how helpfull it would be to save out colors effects, resizings, moves, crops, anyhting.And no not like the current "preset" that follows you to every project and would get confusing and crowded.

One of the more annoying speech tics people do in a conversation is to repeat, a single word, sometimes several times in a row ("you know, the, the...the the the last time I, I did that. What, what is it?")How about making it possible to identify/delete repeated words in text to speech tool?

Looking to post a gif on twitter, but it says the file size is too big any ideas?

Hi,there are options for VR180 and VR360 sequences but no option for 3D sbs video.Is it possible to add the frame-packing=3 info to the metadata in the export tab so this info is added to the exported video?At the moment I have to add this metadata with ffmpeg by creating a new video which is a bad solution.Or is there any metadata editor software which can add this info to a video file?Thanks for your help!

The filter features and font previews in Photoshop are very useful but in Premiere it's a lot more basic and the fonts aren't previewed so harder to judge how they will look.  

Missing the zoom scroll that was available in the program monitor - Premiere Pro. Now when you zoom the image gets croppend and there is no way to scroll up and down or side ways and by doing so seeing the image in detail. 

This one is a real pain. A lot of people like this feature when Lumetri panel is open, I don't. Is there an option to turn it off permanently? Currently, it gets checked automatically every-time I switch to the Lumetri Workspace. Seriously need a way to stop this behaviour!

Hi Adobe!As for Mac User, i suppose if its possible, please make middle mouse funtion more reliable, for example, middle mouse click for drag around timeline instead of H key, and scroll of middle mouse should zoom in and zoom out at exact point of the mouse on timeline (without hold option key)with precision (if i scoll too fast, premier pro gonna act weirdly).

A small change I think would be helpful is something I'm used to when working in AVID: the ability to name tracks the same thing. I find being able to name multiple tracks "SFX", for example, is simpler than having to name them "SFX 1", "SFX 2", etc. This way you can group them all as the same name if you prefer, but still lets you number them if you’d prefer. Just a thought! I am writing to suggest an enhancement to the transcription feature in Adobe Premiere Pro, which I believe could significantly improve the workflow for users who work with video transcriptions.Currently, after generating a transcription, it is segmented into separate blocks of text corresponding to different timestamps. While this segmentation helps with syncing text to the audio, it limits the flexibility for users who wish to edit the transcription in a continuous format (for example, removing line breaks or combining sections). As of now, there seems to be no way to paste an edited, continuous transcription back into Premiere Pro while maintaining its link to the original audio.My suggestion is to enable users to paste an edited transcription back into Premiere Pro and have it automatically re-sync to the audio. I have to create a lot of stringouts at my job where I'm essentially removing any unusable footage from what our team captured. I'd love to be able to have Premiere analyze the movement in all of my footage and have it give me a visual representation of the movement in each of my clips making it easy for me to identify footage that I should remove. Would save me SO much time. Thanks!

Features I'd like to SeeThe following features would be of tremendous value to me. While continually trying to improve the workflow of my current project, I keep hitting stumbling blocks of features which I assumed were available, but aren't and then have to either find a workaround or shift gears to a different process. I think every user wants the most optimal and efficient workflow, which also includes some level of intuitively designed functionality. So with that in mind, I don't think any of these requests are unreasonable or too difficult to impliment, but the payoff would be exponentially helpful.  Thank you.-------- (Timeline Panel) Ability to hide tracks. – So you can keep your timeline clean and clutter free only seeing the tracks you are currently working with. i.e. I'm currently working with 24 different audio tracks, but for each chapter there are only about 4-6. So it's cumbersome to have to constantly scroll up and down to find the 4-6 tracks for each chapter. And

I find the "audio gain" workflow cumbersome.  If it was an effect, you could save it with a set of parameters, copy and paste effect, etc.  Also, if you're outputting an omf or whatever to send to a sound designer, you lose the gain adjustment anyway...      Does this make sense to anyone else?    Thanks as always.

Dear Adobe team, the replacement from Dust & scratches with gaussian blur is very unfavorable.These are 2 completely different effects.Please reintroduce the  Dust & scratches effect or add a good replacement.
