Feature Requests

The ability to drag an effect icon from the Effect Controls area to a bin is an amazing function that AVID has offered.I was trying to help a friend, who is new to Premiere, but an AVID editor (we used to work on AVIDs together) and I realized how helpfull it would be to save out colors effects, resizings, moves, crops, anyhting.And no not like the current "preset" that follows you to every project and would get confusing and crowded.

One of the more annoying speech tics people do in a conversation is to repeat, a single word, sometimes several times in a row ("you know, the, the...the the the last time I, I did that. What, what is it?")How about making it possible to identify/delete repeated words in text to speech tool?

Looking to post a gif on twitter, but it says the file size is too big any ideas?

Hi,there are options for VR180 and VR360 sequences but no option for 3D sbs video.Is it possible to add the frame-packing=3 info to the metadata in the export tab so this info is added to the exported video?At the moment I have to add this metadata with ffmpeg by creating a new video which is a bad solution.Or is there any metadata editor software which can add this info to a video file?Thanks for your help!

The filter features and font previews in Photoshop are very useful but in Premiere it's a lot more basic and the fonts aren't previewed so harder to judge how they will look.  

Missing the zoom scroll that was available in the program monitor - Premiere Pro. Now when you zoom the image gets croppend and there is no way to scroll up and down or side ways and by doing so seeing the image in detail. 

This one is a real pain. A lot of people like this feature when Lumetri panel is open, I don't. Is there an option to turn it off permanently? Currently, it gets checked automatically every-time I switch to the Lumetri Workspace. Seriously need a way to stop this behaviour!

Hi Adobe!As for Mac User, i suppose if its possible, please make middle mouse funtion more reliable, for example, middle mouse click for drag around timeline instead of H key, and scroll of middle mouse should zoom in and zoom out at exact point of the mouse on timeline (without hold option key)with precision (if i scoll too fast, premier pro gonna act weirdly).

A small change I think would be helpful is something I'm used to when working in AVID: the ability to name tracks the same thing. I find being able to name multiple tracks "SFX", for example, is simpler than having to name them "SFX 1", "SFX 2", etc. This way you can group them all as the same name if you prefer, but still lets you number them if you’d prefer. Just a thought! I am writing to suggest an enhancement to the transcription feature in Adobe Premiere Pro, which I believe could significantly improve the workflow for users who work with video transcriptions.Currently, after generating a transcription, it is segmented into separate blocks of text corresponding to different timestamps. While this segmentation helps with syncing text to the audio, it limits the flexibility for users who wish to edit the transcription in a continuous format (for example, removing line breaks or combining sections). As of now, there seems to be no way to paste an edited, continuous transcription back into Premiere Pro while maintaining its link to the original audio.My suggestion is to enable users to paste an edited transcription back into Premiere Pro and have it automatically re-sync to the audio. I have to create a lot of stringouts at my job where I'm essentially removing any unusable footage from what our team captured. I'd love to be able to have Premiere analyze the movement in all of my footage and have it give me a visual representation of the movement in each of my clips making it easy for me to identify footage that I should remove. Would save me SO much time. Thanks!

Features I'd like to SeeThe following features would be of tremendous value to me. While continually trying to improve the workflow of my current project, I keep hitting stumbling blocks of features which I assumed were available, but aren't and then have to either find a workaround or shift gears to a different process. I think every user wants the most optimal and efficient workflow, which also includes some level of intuitively designed functionality. So with that in mind, I don't think any of these requests are unreasonable or too difficult to impliment, but the payoff would be exponentially helpful.  Thank you.-------- (Timeline Panel) Ability to hide tracks. – So you can keep your timeline clean and clutter free only seeing the tracks you are currently working with. i.e. I'm currently working with 24 different audio tracks, but for each chapter there are only about 4-6. So it's cumbersome to have to constantly scroll up and down to find the 4-6 tracks for each chapter. And

I find the "audio gain" workflow cumbersome.  If it was an effect, you could save it with a set of parameters, copy and paste effect, etc.  Also, if you're outputting an omf or whatever to send to a sound designer, you lose the gain adjustment anyway...      Does this make sense to anyone else?    Thanks as always.

Dear Adobe team, the replacement from Dust & scratches with gaussian blur is very unfavorable.These are 2 completely different effects.Please reintroduce the  Dust & scratches effect or add a good replacement.

Feature request: Make it possible to switch the log monitor to a different color space. Since the new color management improvements the colors in the source monitor and the timeline no longer match. I get  this from a technical standpont but from a creative standpoint this makes no sense to me.I use the source monitor to select my in and out points. I cannot do this if i have to watch the footage in log colors. The image looks washed out, this makes it hard to judge how it wil look on the timeline. It makes it hard to  appreceate the image from a creative standpoint, and it forces me to keep thinking about technical stuff in a creative process.Please make it possible to select a colour space for the source monitor, and default it to the timeline color space. Please upvote this request, thank you.  

As the title states, I'd like to be able to add warp stabilizer on a clip even if the clip dimensions don't match the sequence, and even if the clip has been slowed down or time remapped. 

I will often duplicate a sequence in order to make a new version before making major changes - keeping the workflow nondestructive.I don't recall ever leaving the default name "[sequence name] Copy", and will usually proceed to change the word "copy" with the version. It would be extremely useful if instead of "copy", Premiere would name our duplicated sequences based on number - so even if I named my sequence "rough cut 3", it will proceed to name the duplicate "rough cut 4". Perhaps one would be able to modify this behavior in the settings as well. 

It's too tedious to have to right click and go through two context menus just to enable time remapping. Make it accessible through a keyboard shortcut, or better yet, revamp the whole time remapping layout so that you can ease the keyframes easier. All in all, it feels like the feature is clunky and outdated. 

I just changed my computer to apple m3 and found that my regular change to color effect is gone. For some reason, many of my previous projects cannot use the change to color effect. I tried to use Lumetri that you recommended, but of course it is not a replacement and it is very time consuming. I had to go back and edit and use the change to color effect on my old mac and export the alpha to use on apple m3. I want the change to color effect back in Premiere Pro Thank you From User.       

In previous versions of Premiere, audio clip names were visible when tracks were fully collapsed. Now in 2024, they only show up if you increase the size of the tracks by three or more steps. I'd love to be able to see the names of the tracks when they are fully collapsed. My projects usually have tons of audio clips and an average of 35-100+ audio tracks. Seeing the names of which audio clip is which greatly helps my workflow. Now I have to increase the side of my tracks in order to see the name of the clip and it can be a time-consuming and messy process when wanting to work with fully collapsed tracks.

swapping between clips should be available also vertically, not just horizontally. this way you can swap clip A with Clip B bewtween different track. see an example:

Right now there is only one global setting for transition length, but I use different lengths for different types of transitions. I'd like to be able to set the default length separately for each transition type. This would save me a ton of time.

Ich habe Clips, welche mit einer Sony AX700 Kamera in der Zeitzone von Singapore (UTC+8) aufgenommen wurden. Wenn ich diese in ein Premiere Projekt auf einem Rechner in der Zeitzone MESZ (UTC+2) importiere, wird das Erstellungsdatum um -6 Stunden verschoben anzeigt. Ich möchte, dass als Erstellungdatum das effektive Datum / Zeit - ohne Zeitverschiebung ! - angezeigt wird.Ich habe in Premiere Pro kein Metadaten-Feld gefunden, welches das bietet. Mit exiftool habe ich herausgefunden, dass in den MP4-Dateien (Sony XAVC) ein Feld 'Creation Date Value : 2023:08:27 05:42:05+08:00' existiert, aber dieses scheint von Premiere Pro nicht gelesen zu werden!? Hat jemand dieses Problem auch schon gehabt und eine Lösung dafür?
