In previous versions of Premiere, audio clip names were visible when tracks were fully collapsed. Now in 2024, they only show up if you increase the size of the tracks by three or more steps. I'd love to be able to see the names of the tracks when they are fully collapsed. My projects usually have tons of audio clips and an average of 35-100+ audio tracks. Seeing the names of which audio clip is which greatly helps my workflow. Now I have to increase the side of my tracks in order to see the name of the clip and it can be a time-consuming and messy process when wanting to work with fully collapsed tracks.
swapping between clips should be available also vertically, not just horizontally. this way you can swap clip A with Clip B bewtween different track. see an example:
Right now there is only one global setting for transition length, but I use different lengths for different types of transitions. I'd like to be able to set the default length separately for each transition type. This would save me a ton of time.
Hi there,I have a feature suggestion for premiere pro "Render and Replace" feature:Please make Adobe Premiere Pro's "render and replace' process a background task that auto cueues and completes in the background as I continue to edit 🙂 Thanks Nick
If all footage is transcribed I would like to be able to search a key phrase and have a sequence automatically genrated with all clips containing it. This would save countless hours of building strings of scenes when you are looking for the right take.
I'm missing EBU R128 meters / loudness meter, instead of the 'old' peakmeter. Is it possible to have this as an option?tia, chris
Hi, just a small improvement for the 'remove attributes'-option in Premiere.By default all attributes are selected when choosing this option. But I find myself often deselecting all those attributes except the one I need to remove. I can not imagine you need to remove all attributes (video AND sound) for a clip in one time (if so, wouldn't the option 'clear' be a better way.) It already bothered me a bit, but not enough to complain about it. But at the moment I am working for an e-learning programme which has a lot of sequences and clips. Because I made a color correcting mistake I need to remove the Lumetri attributes of a lot of clips in a lot of sequences and replace it with an adjusted one. For every clip I first need to deselect all attributes every time until only Lumetri is selected. This way it takes a lot of time (and patience) to change everything.I think it could be more efficient. Thanks,Itam.
Hey,I have a script idea for Automation Blocks and maybe someone can help get it going. When working on clips that need further fx in another app like AFX or Fusion I like to create a seperate track for those clips and when I get them back to also place the new clips in a nested sequence so if there are several versions I can all place them ontop of each other so that all versions are available in case I need to go back to former version for some reason.Right now this is a manual process of selecting the clip nesting it, naming it to the shot number and moving it to the bottom most track. It is not to much work at all but maybe could be automated. Some nice features would also include the option to add handles so if the shots get longer there is a bit of a wiggle room(maybe not placing the nested clip right at the start of the Sequence but offsetting it in sequence it is comming from so that it still aligns properly; not sure if this is possible) without the need to move arou
I am calling out the Adobe about this 4years issue. They didn't do anything to fix the problem. PLEASE SOLVE THIS. AND READ ALL THE REVIEWS AND COMPLAIN FROM ANOTHER USERS HERE IN COMMUNITY.
I am a new user and I spent a LONG time looking at this, thinking that "Frame size:" was the input I was meant to fill in, rather than "horizontal". If you tweak the UI it could be way clearer.
It would be great to be able to mute the source window, especially if you're editing an event consisting of fooatge from an event recorded with loud music. I understand you can select allt he clips and use 'audio clip mixer' but I think it would be beneficial to be able to just mute the source window so you can, say, listen to music whilst editing. Thanks!
Wwhen a video export in premiere/AME fails due to insufficient storage space could we not resume where we left off with the 90% complete file instead of starting from scratch? Seems like an easy feature to add when you already have pause and resume.
I'm not asking here for help or a guidance how to avoid problems, I can help myself very well. For me it's a strange misconception in Adobe Premiere not being able to define pixel based width and height for a pixel based media when resizing or cropping pixel based sources. Many of the effects provide percentage values only instead pixel values. Why is it like this? Just watch to the all the other Adobe Tools working pixel based like After Effects or Photoshop. In these tools it seems to be not a problem to implement it.Please, Adobe, fix that misconception soon!!!I'm really tired to always doing trial and error to find best percentage values. Thanks!
Hi there - I'm from the University of Canberra and currently we need to export sidecar captions files in .srt format and use an external converter tool to convert caption files to .vtt for all content created that needs to be uploaded to our video hosting software Echo Video. If we could export directly to .vtt this would be a gamechanger and save us so much time in our processses.
Was it ever possible to option+click or cmd click in PP to revert an eased keyframe to a normal/linear keyframe?I feel like I was able to do this until recently or was I just imagining it because its possible to do it in AE(e.g. https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects-discussions/how-to-revert-an-easy-ease-keyframe-to-a-normal-one/m-p/2353575) Is there a way to switch it on in PP or does it need to be a kb shortcut?
¿Se podría habilitar que CERRAR ESPACIO funcione debajo de una capa de ajuste o una imagen o un Video? Porque para mi es una opción muy buena y funciona muy bien cuando no tiene nada sobre la pista en la que se aplica.
Hello community, The new audio fade handles are a great feature. I'd like to see the same for video clips. I think It would make the UI more consistent and quicker between audio and video track editing. Thank you!
Everytime I open a project containing a multicam sequence, the Program view switches to display "Video" when I'm editing the multicam sequence, so I don't get to see the source camera thumbnails. Thus, I need to manually re-enable "Multicam" view in Program view settings every time I open the sequence for the first time during a session: This is cumbersome. Please, store the view setting along with the sequence data and enable the previously selected view type every time the sequence is being opened.
When uploading .srt files to Prem Pro, there are no options for specifying the number of lines for captions. In fact, the formatting is an absolute mess. Because the video I was working on is over 30 mins, there was no way I was going to manually reformat the text in the Text window, so I've ended up doing it all in VEED.IO It's so annoying that despite all the money I pay in Creative Cloud subs each month, I still have to take out another subscription with another company because Prem Pro isn't fit for purpose when it comes to captioning. Grrr. Moan ends.
Adobe Premiere has excellent support for automatic transcription, which is very versatile. Since my work involves subtitling videos in Finnish, I would very much like to see Finnish language support in Premiere Pro's automatic subtitling tool as soon as possible.Photoshop's generative AI already knows Finnish, so it should not be impossible to include Finnish language support in Premiere?
There are hotkeys to move between edit points. Many times when one has applied an effect to multiple clips like a lumetri correction etc,one wants to visually check if clips match, that no duplicate effects have been applied etc.If however there are transitions between clips, like dip to black etc, moving between edits is of no use.One has to manually move playhead a bit forward / backward to a position where the clip has no transition is "clean".A function that could move playhead to previous / next "middle of clip" or "clean" part of clipp with no transitions overlayed, would help imensly in productivity time.It goes without saying that this feature must have a hotkey to be binded to.So if go to next/ previous edtits is cmd+ left/right arrows, the go to "middle of edit" coulb be option or shift and left/right arrow.
- Warp stabilizer on slow motioned clip- Shutter angle in "Position" panel (must)- More built in video transition (must)- Essential Graphics GPU optimization- Simple speed ramping with motion blur- Adding Rotobrush
Very simple idea, while dragging audio clips on the timeline, continually show the waveform rather than showing a blank box. This functionality is present in Audition, and is incredibly useful for manual synchronization. See attached gif for further explanation of what I mean by the "blank box".I'm aware you can sort of already achieve this by "nudging" the audio clip, but it would be great if this were always available when dragging. Thanks!
