We receive one design from our customer, there is one element in AI file (see attachment)become different when copy to another blank AI file or view this file in other tools, the appearance for the box changed. As I look into the element, there is opacity mask made from live text, but when we create outline, this live text is not able to be detected. So that, there is no error info when we work on this file, but the appearance change, and we are not able to detect it, which will be a big risk have error. So, I would suggested, live text being used as opacity mask should be outline automatically when clipping mask made.
When using the colour eyedropper in the colour selection area of the toolbar (background/ foreground)You can’t “escape” the selection. For example when a pop-up windows appears, it samples the UI colours instead of interacting with the buttons.
Standardise, give more options, and increase the detail for linking / re-linking / finding files and packaging inside ALL Adobe software. The workflow should be more holistic across ALL Adobe software. Finding files, relinking files, packaging files and even linking files can be a complete nightmare depending on the software used. Every piece of software has a different way of doing it and alternative options. And a lack of options. Adobe software is NOT intuitive or up to standard with the way creatives and professionals use multiple types of files that link to each other.I feel that with modern storage, the amount of files we produce on a daily basis, the size of these files, and the way designers and creatives use Adobe software fluidly, should be mirrored in the ‘find links’ and saving options of all your software. We use multiple bits of software, with multiple types of files. In this case Adobe is lagging behind in its file organisation and structure handling. You have given us ke
Hi, after updating to Illustrator 30.4 on macOS 26, I can no longer use the mouse scroll wheel to adjust numeric values by hovering over input fields (such as opacity, stroke weight, scale, etc.).I’m using a Logitech G304 mouse. The scroll wheel works normally in other apps.I already tried:Resetting Illustrator preferences Disabling GPU Performance Restarting the Mac Checking mouse settingsBut the issue still persists. Is this a known compatibility issue with Illustrator 30.4 on macOS 26?
I'd like to be able to use DIMENSIONED symbols. So when I make them 2 1/2” tall or 3" tall they import exactly that size or I can adjust the size/scale when importing them into a box either by the size of the box or toggle in the tool that allows for a measurement. If the item is 2 1/2” x 2 1/2” and I put it in a 4” wide box, I’d want it to stay 2 1/2” wide. So perhaps the toggle is set to either height or width. If it’s a circle, I don’t want it to make flat edges. In the end, I want the SYMBOLS to remain DYNAMIC, so that I have the paths so the item can be cut on a laser cutter that uses paths.
Correction: I accidentally posted this in the Illustrator (Beta) section. This issue also occurs in the regular release version of Illustrator.単色にアピアランスでグレーシャドウを入れた場合、内側の光彩が反映されず前面がグレーになってしまう。 DescriptionWhen applying Inner Glow to an object with a solid fill color (e.g. white 100%), the entire object becomes gray and the effect does not render correctly. This issue occurs after reopening the file — the appearance changes and looks like a gray overlay is applied across the whole object. However, when using a gradient fill (even white 100% → white 100%), the Inner Glow effect works as expected. This behavior breaks the original design and seems inconsistent.Steps to reproduceCreate an object with solid fill (e.g. white 100%) Apply Inner Glow Save the file Reopen the file The object appears gray instead of whiteExpected resultInner Glow should render correctly regardless of whether the fill is solid or gradient.Actual resultThe object becomes gray and the effect does not display correctly.W
Hey guys, So my Illustrator is not responding literally every time I try to open it, and this has been going on since the beginning of this week (it’s Saturday today). I have searched online and saw a suggestion to reset the preferences, but there is only one issue - I will embarrasingly admit that I’m still not used to the Mac settings (long time windows user before switching to mac 2 years ago) and trying to follow the steps genuinely just made me feel really lost and confused T_T I’ve restarted my laptop many times, but it did nothing. I uninstalled and reinstalled the software, and now it just lets me access the home page, but when I try to make a new file, it goes back to not responding. I’ve sent a lot of crash reports to adobe and apple whenever I have to force quit the application. My mac is a Mac M3 Pro 18 GB. If I could get a response asap, that would be very very appreciated as I need it for uni rn. Thanks so much,QW
I can't rotate it to a perfect angle, such as 90° or 60°. I think we should add an option to input the angle.
