Fireworks

Does anyone here have any pull with Adobe?I'm in the licence loop, I've lost Fireworks completely on my work machine, I can't even uninstall it gracefully anymore. I've managed to keep it running on my home machine which I'm remoting to from the office when I need to. I get that Adobe is killing off FW and I get they will never make it available freeware, that's just bad economics. But how cool would it be if Photoshop would simply honour the FW.PNG layers.Like Fireworks honoured PSD layers.How do we all petition to get this on the wish list?I have over 20 years of native Fireworks files. 

Hi guys, my name is Ivan and I am developing a web app www.Photopea.com . Recently, I added the support for Fireworks PNG files. You can open your Fireworks PNGs in it. You will see all original raster and vector layers. Text layers are editable. There are layer styles, too. You can save it as a PSD file (and work with it in Photoshop). The conversion is not perfect. But I think it is the only way to open Fireworks PNGs without Adobe Fireworks (e.g. if you are on Linux or iOS). Also, I believe I created the first Fireworks PNG to PSD converter 🙂 you can use Photopea for free, without any sign-in.

I miss fireworks. Why did you get rid of it? Such a silly idea. So many people love it.

This is so frustrating! I’m experiencing this now too. Thanks, Adobe for being so difficult about this. At least if you’re not supporting it and it’s no longer for sale, you could give us a way to unlock the trial for good. Those of us who’ve used Fireworks for over a decade and still need to export files out of it would be served better.   Such an easy solution available for a product they don’t even care about anymore.

I bought Fireworks CS3 many moons ago. I remember at one point being advised to download CS6 for free as CS3 was getting defunked. CS6 worked really well. Then my laptop expired, I did try to get FW up and running again on my then 'new' laptop, but failed...... now I've another laptop and I'm determined to get FW back again, nothing compares to Fireworks.   Please could someone advise the easiest way to get FW back? I've been on chat support and they've confirmed the serial number I have for FW CS3 is good to go.   Thanks for any help.... 🙂   

firework file not working

I have always used fireworks, installing it legally through creative cloud, but recently I needed to format my PC and when trying to install it, a screen appears: that Adobe Application Manager is needed to check the license, but the link to download the tool was removed by adobe, and I'm unable to use fireworks, could anyone help?  

I have a subscription that includes Fireworks CS6 but I am no longer able to use it.  When I install it, it simple says that the trial period is expired.  When I go to sign in, it asks for a serial number.  Looking at help topics to install Muse (didn't work, I don't have this), reset the hosts (nothing there) and use the Creative Cloud Cleaner (ran it, didn't work), uninstall and reinstall (yep tried twice), and getting nowhere.  Also I am constantly getting an Error 500: Internal Server Error (on multiple browsers and both behind and not behind my VPN and after clearing cache) when I try to access apps in my subscription.  What has happened?  Please assist.

We have a Creative Cloud All Apps plan which thankfully includes Fireworks. Sometime last week (January 2-5) Fireworks would not open. We now get the error message I've attached. We've uninstalled both Fireworks and CC several times and still, we get the error message attached. Adobe "Support" won't help because it's no longer supported. Any help you could provide would be appreciated, cheers.

I recently got a new PC which had a copy of window 11 on it. I installed Adobe Creative Cloud  used it to install Firework CS6. Whenever I try to boot it up I get a error message pop up.  I've tried the link it seems to go nowhere, I tried a bunch of things using the clean up tool. I tried reinstalling.  Nothing seems to work for me.  I thought maybe this is a sign I should just learn to use photoshop but it seem overkill for what I need and I have a few projects that I need finishing off and photoshop does not recognise the layers from them.  If anyone can help that would be amazing

As some of you know, or are finding out... all of a sudden, folks can't access Fireworks, myself included.  Suggestions to use it as a trial version are short-lived, for obvious reasons.  Adobe is simple stating that they no longer support FW, period.  Which is obviously their prerogative. But this decision is hurting me and many, many others like me, who have come to rely on FW as an essential part of their day to day toolbox. There have been no updates to Fireworks in forever - and no one is asking for them.  We're just asking that Adobe let the program check in and go about it's merry way. I've been a Fireworks user since Macromedia.  (yeah - I've been around since the Flash and Director days.) I use it every single day, without fail.  It is fast, clean, easy to use and I've built an entire workflow around it - not to mention literally tens of thousands of source files - which I can no longer fully access, because Adobe has decided to no

I'm very tired about having paid for Fireworks (I have the CC teacher plan) and not being able to use it.Is there an official way to make it work? 

I'm using Fireworks from my Adobe Creative Cloud account and since this morning it keeps asking me for a "serial number". Please advice. 

Hi, I need to get a adobe fireworks cs6 serial key and haven't been able to find one where would I find one?

I just bought a new computer and it has Windows 11. I tried loading Fireworks, but like everyone else, I got the issue with serial numbers. I had to basically uninstall Creative Suite, log out and log back in. Ridiculous.That got me past the first issue. Now I have a new issue.I am only signed into 2 computers. But I humor them and choose to have them sign me out. Then I get an error that says my operating system is out of date and needs to be upgraded before I can do anything!I'm on the latest version I can possibly be on. So has anyone else successfully installed Fireworks on Windows 11?If so, how!Thanks for any help!(PS, option 2 just brings me back to this same screen)

I know - CS4 is old but I don't use it a ton.I'm trying to crop a bunch of photos (86) to the same size all at one time by using the batch process. I tried scaling all 86 at one time, however, FWs only batched 41 out of 86 images. When I tried to process the ones FWs missed (the next 20), none of the images showed up in the folder even though FWs showed that it was processing them.  The photos did not end up in the folder like the other ones (I know I chose the right/same folder).  I did another test - tried to scale/batch 7 vertical images and the first time it processed only one of them, the next two times, none.Any help or advice?  TIA!!!

So as you will know if you have used fireworks for years - as an 'older app' - and have no interest in using anything else as it does the job, something happened and when we have to download fireworks it is no longer as before- as in, it runs fine even if you switch to a new laptop and have to start again etc We didnt have a serial number as it was part of the suite. Its the only app I ever used in the suite / creative cloud all apps. But something changed - and when we end up with the 'free trial' download option of course we can't then do anything. We never had a serial number. Adobe recently told me to download Muse from my creative cloud account - which I did - and got the same thing. A trial version. And no option to buy or use past the 7 day trial. So why would I not have access to Muse either? You can see screen shot of what I see when I open it - and I am logged into creative cloud. There must be a way to stop the trial version process - which is the issue.

@adobeI have a paid version of Adobe Fireworks.Separately, I just cancelled my Creative Cloud monthly subscription which I no longer need for Photoshop etc. Now Creative Cloud says I don't have an active subscription (yes, I know that), but it won't let me open the Fireworks CS6 software I originally paid for. I'm not impressed Adobe people! Can anyone adcise how to solve this problem? Can Fireworks be downloaded as my latest compter does not have a CD/DVD to install the old software again. 😞

Hi, I've been using Fireworks for a while now (yes, I know it's technically "dead" but I find it easier to use than Photoshop) and am having a new problem. Normally I have been able to paste PNG files with transparent backgrounds (like this)into my layer and until yesterday, the background has been transparent.Now when I try to paste copied pngs, this happens...The background becomes black rather than transparent! I am forced now to use the magic wand tool to eliminate the black background, which, on complex PNGs, is hard to do (and unneeded especially since the original file I pasted has a transparent background!).I've been using the program for over ten years and this is not happened before. There must have been some kind of setting I accidentally checked or changed that caused this. Any assistance would be appreciated. I have tried hundreds of PNG files and even reinstalled the program, and nothing iw working. Thanks!

I'm not sure what I've managed to change or do to this software package.  I cannot for the life of me figure out how to have transparent images have the checkerboard appearance they normally have.  I cant seem to find the setting to re-enable this.  At present anything i set to transparent such as a background appears white.  please help, this is driving me insane.
