Flash Player (read-only)

Hi there fellow flash experts. I'm having a problem with my mother's Macbook Pro. She wants to use a CD for her English lessons and the CD requires Flashplayer. The only problem is the CD does not load correctly. CD was published in 2010.So I decide to check the version and it gives me Flashplayer 9. The copyright goes up to 2007.I tried to update flash, downloaded from Adobe website. Install completed successfully. Even in chrome my version is 27. However, the flash player when using the CD is only version 9. Am I missing something here?I then proceeded to use the uninstall program that Adobe provided for my Mac version. I completely uninstalled with the image file and reinstalled Flashplayer, but Flashplayer 9 did not go away!Why is that?When I check Flash Player Help it says that Flashplayer is not installed on my system.I feel like pulling my hair out here. I'm a Windows user, have been for years, so it's a bit harder to get used to a Mac.Can anyone help out? Thanks in advance.

Doing nothing special on my Win10 pc, in Chrome, an apparently Abobe window opened and told me to update Flashplayer.  This occurs at approx 10:45pm EDT.  Because I always have my browsers display the URL showing where I am, I glance up and see not adobe.com but ...[link removed]I closed the window immediately, then searched for the domain and found ... no hits.I can only presume an infection on my pc, so will run Malwarebytes, Windows Defender, and whatever else I can.HOWEVER, in case it is *not* a local problem, it only makes sense to alert Adobe and its users by posting the suspicious link.- d° ♬Message was edited by: Jeromie Clark - removed the malware link so that it didn't accidentally get followed

Dear Adobe,Flash and Shockwave have not only shaped the web to what it is today, but also affected so many areas we couldn't even imagine before. Animations, gaming, broadcasting, advertising, music, arts, programming. The list is long.Open sourcing Flash and Shockwave would be a decent thing to do. We don't want to see a big portion of internet history to just vanish. Internet represents the whole world and initiatives like Internet Archive are important, but powerless without having open formats.There are so many projects going on to preserve Flash and Shockwave content, which would benefit from open sourcing. We know you can't open source everything. You can leave such parts off with a note what's missing. Hello,I am having difficulty installing Adobe Flash Player.  Every time I try, the screen says 'installed', then i get a flash that says it quit unexpectedly.  how do I finalise the installation?thank you, Eric

This is an oldie but a goodie. We have the following error occur on machines when we try to upgrade machines to the newest flash player:Product: Adobe Flash Player 11 Plugin -- Error 2753.The File 'InstallPlugin.exe' is not marked for installation.The only way we have been able to correct this is outlined here:http://www.eversity.nl/blog/2012/05/adobe-flash-player-install-error-2753-the-file-installax64-exe-is-not-marked-for-installation/Our IS department wrote a .Net app that automates this process a bit, but it would be nice if the Adobe installer would detect and correct this error, as we push out Flash updates via GPO.Any takers on this?? Hello,I am trying to watch videos on the latest version Microsoft Edge on a PC which is installed with the latest version of Windows 10, but whenever I go to watch videos it tells me that I need an updated flashplayer, But every forum or help article I have found says that the latest version of Adobe Flashplayer is built into Microsoft Edge and that I "just need to activate it in the advanced settings," but then I go to the advanced settings and it says that the Flashplayer is "On." So I do not understand why my videos are not playing can someone please explain what is going on?Randall

I work for a non-profit organization.  I do their accounting.  We use quickbooks.  I recently got a new computer, and I am trying to install quickbooks into my new computer.  It gives me an error box, and requesting me to install "Flash Player 7" first.  But I can't seem to find it to download it.  If I don't install it quick, I will get really behind in my work, and even disciplined!  Will someone please help!

I have Windows 2000 and using Firefox. I do not know what firefox version I am using. I downloaded Flash Player but when I try opening the file a message appears "The procedure entry point SetDllDirectoryW could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll." Please help

When I downloaded the Adobe Flash Player, it also downloaded McAfee Security Scan without asking my permission.  Please do not download third party software without my consent.

installing flash player is a blast. I mean i have my own PAYED FOR ANTIVIRUS, so why do i need to install a really bad antivirus like mcafee. please guys......fix your installers so i can ACTUALLY choose whether i want to install 3rd party software like mcafee or not.i dont give a rats ass if you are partnered with mcafee or not.P.S. i did try to uncheck the check next to the mcafee install but it still downloads the installer and installs mcafee without me having any say in the matter. Get some other programmers if you need to, since i guess they are the rotten tomatoes in this equation!!!!!!!!!

I have a 2013 Macbook Pro, have used flash obviously a lot over the last few years.There is one specific site I've used flash on my macbook pro on before with no problems. Now I can't use flash on it on any browser (primary is chrome, but I tried Safari and Firefox as well.)Basically when I open the site, there normally is a box I can click on to run flash, I hit trust or run, and then it runs. However, I cannot see that box anymore on this one specific site. I've disabled adblock, and allowed flash on chrome, but I keep getting the puzzle piece in my address bar (the one that says "flash blocked"). When I click that and hit "run flash" or "allow", it doesn't change anything.An interesting note is that if I open the site incognito, I see the box that I can click to run flash. However, I click the box, hit allow, and then the box disappears and I'm back to square one.Note that I've tried other websites like homestarrunner and can run flash perfectly fine on those sites.Also when I right

The latest update for flash forced me to install McAfee without my consent. I was prompted to download the flash player hereThe file that was downloaded was hereThis screen popped up. After clicking next, both flash and McAfee were installed. there was no option to not install McAfee. This is unacceptable.

I've noticed it after the last update, both in Opera and Google chrome. Music gets distorted, obviously (has no noticable effect on voice though). Only happens with quality 1080p60fps (not sure about 720p60fps). Why is this happening and how to stop it?

So now that we figured out we had beta versions on all the machines, I would like to deploy a fix for all. I tried to deploy it through SCCM but the installation fails. This works fine with no beta versions. So the uninstall program reads like this: start / wait \\%%%%%\sources\software\adobe flash player\uninstall_flash_player.exe -uninstall -force      It was this:msiexec.exe /x {FEE1FB25-E120-4FF9-A5F0-8F382D662AAA} /q     The 1st one points to the standalone uninstaller from Adobe  to a distribution point. The other generated by the .msi file. Any ideas how to uninstall all beta versions and then install the correct version? I need all the help I can get.

FLASH installed on Mac OS- all browser plugin preferences updated - but doesn't run I have installed and reinstalled and updated preferences to allow plug ins on but it doesn't play video on school website  -  when I try to watch demonstration video on secure website  just gives me error message that flash needs to be updatedHelp please!!!!!

Does anyone know how to uninstall the beta version of Adobe Flash Player using SCCM? I am trying to remove it but unsuccessful. Any help would be great. I tried to deploy it as a package but it is not working at the moment.

I am finding a lot of our machines are getting automatic updates to the beat version of Adobe Flash Player. I am trying to deploy the correct version 29.0.0.140 NAPAI using SCCM. It fails unless I contact that person have them uninstall the beta version then they can install the correct version through Software Center. Two Questions.!. Where is the beat version coming from with no interaction from the user.2. How can I uninstall the beta version through SCCM then Deploy the correct version. Note - If they do not have flash player it deploys properly. If they uninstall the beta version then the required version  of Adobe Flash player deploys properly.
