Flash Player (read-only)

I'm using Windows 7, and I use 3 different browsers (Chrome, regularly- but also have Firefox and IE). I keep getting a pop-up saying I need to update Flash, but I have checked and all 3 seem to be up to date. On all 3, the tree-and-clouds animation indicates Flash is properly installed and working correctly- but still I get the pop-up message, every week. What is the problem, if any, and what do I do about it?

The last 2 flash player updates have not worked for me.  I use FF and when I go to a website that needs flash I get a popup saying flash has timed out and to either continue or stop plugin.  It locks up my browser and I have to end task on it.   I reported this last update and didnt even get a response.  I figured it would be fixed in this update and same thing.  When I go back to version 23.0.r0.207 it works fine.

Firefox 50.1.0Flash 24.0.0.194Win 10On many websites that I visit, Adobe is at the top asking me to activate or not.  It is apparent on many websites (especially without videos) that I do not need Flash to continue reading or participating.    Apparently I do not need flash, so why does Adobe insist on asking me to activate it?     What do you collect when you aren't serving any purpose?Thank you.

Hi -I've been trying to install an update to flash in the hopes to get it working, but with no success.  I have a Windows 8.1 machine and I've been trying to install it on Chrome version 55.0.2883.87.  I keep getting the Application Initialization Error. I read a lot of posts about this on the forums and followed the suggestions but with no success.The file I've been trying to install is:  flashplayer24pp_xa_install.exeAlso, intermittently I get a message on top that says Adobe Flash has been blocked because it is out of date.   I can't run Flash Applications from Chrome.  I checked the chrome plugins and I'm running Shockwave Flash version 23.0.0.205.Thanks,Tema[moderator: removed link to file]

I am running Windows Vista Service Pack 2. I believe I should be running Adobe Flash Player 24. My Kaspersky Internet Security software (for whatever reason) ran an Update for Adobe Flash Player 15 Plugin which will not run. The error says "the version of the player that you are trying to install is lower than what is currently installed". I have dealt with Kaspersky to try fix this to no avail. They suggested contacting you. I have tried to Uninstall  Adobe Flash Player 15 Plugin, but it won't uninstall because it says it is currently being installed by another application (I asume it's the Kaspersky update.)  I also tried uninstalling Adobe Flash Player 24 (sucessfully), hoping that the Kaspersky Update would then finish running, but it still does not work. I would like to get rid of the Kaspersky update error message, Uninstall the Adobe Flash Player 15 Plugin, and then install the proper version for my computer. I'm having the same issue, getting stuck at 95%. I tried doing as suggested, and went to the linked page and downloaded what I thought was the offline installer (Flash Player for Safari and Firefox - NPAPI) at the bottom of the page in the 'Still having problems' section, but no dice. It still gets stuck at 95%. But it didn't exactly say it was an offline installer. Am I just downloading the wrong thing?

why do THEY have the nerve to just automatically install McAfee and True Key when you update Flash Player????????????????????????Can someone do something about this?

On my IMAC MAC OS Sierra 10.12.2 ,I just went in downloaded newest version, also clicked on to install.  But when it got to half way installing itstalls out and just sits at that spot, will not install past the half way mark.  I have done everything, unplug, cut off computer, unplug computer, turn back and turned off several times, and seems like it is hung up. What can I do, to get past this screen??? Thanks

Hi,I am working for a client that uses PDFS top submit evidence to courts with Flash videos embedded in PDFs. The video will not play in Acrobat Reader because it cannot detect a flash client. I tried launching the PDF within IE11 (Reader Plug-in and Flash Plug-in installed and enabled as add-ons) and the video content will still not play.Is there still a non-browser version of Flash player?If non-browser players have been deprecated is there a way around this issue?IE11Flash Active-x 20.0.0.272Reader 11.0.13Windows 8.1Kind regardsAlex Trim

Can you PLEASE look at your updater service on windows?If it's DISABLED in my services it means i want it DISABLED IN MY SERVICES!!!It doesn't mean i want it enabled again after an update.It also doesn't mean i want to have it again after i deleted everything about it.Basically your updater is an annoying pos software and i hate it.Just because I use Flash in a browser you keep on enabling a service on my machine... WTF!?Sorry but this has been annoying the living crap out of me for "a couple" of years now and i had to get it out.

I have a question regarding Adobe Flash Player. I am running Windows 7 Pro-64Bit, IE 11, Kaspersky's Antivirus. I can download the latest Adobe Flash Player with no problem and it works perfectly, until I reboot my system. Afterwards I get an error stating that I need to download Flash in order to view certain websites. When I go to my control panel I can only see a Ghost of an icon that Flash 24 Active X is installed; and I have to go back to reload Flash again. How do I resolve this issue? I also had the same problem before installing Active X.Thank you much

When I try to play games on facebook, I constantly get a pop up box regarding settings, global settings, and about adobe flash player. I cannot turn it off and it will not allow me to proceed to the game. It's extremely annoying. I have windows 10 and flash player was automatically installed with it, so I cannot uninstall it  or go back to a previous version. What's the deal?
