Fresco

I'm working on an oil painting in fresco and want to paint within the same layer, however, something happened and now, whenever i try to paint - as soon as my pen touches the surface - a new layer is created for what I'm painting - which i DON'T want as that makes it impossible to blend the new paint with the paint on the layer I actually want to paint on. There seem to be a few posts around drawing lag over the years, but I have a slightly more annoying problem in that every time I touch the colour wheel button with my Apple Pencil (to either change colour, adjust sliders etc) there is a good 3 to 4 second delay until it appears. I tried undocking it, and whilst I can immediately select a new colour etc. there is then the same lag when I apply the Apple Pencil to the screen (usually follow by a load of random pixel dumps).   As someone who uses the live paints and likes to work quite quickly this can be incredibly frustrating. Is this a known issue?   For information, I'm using a 5th generation 12.9 inch iPad Pro with the M1 chip with plenty of spare capacity   and the 2nd generation Apple Pencil. [Renamed by Mod]

I already have the Photography plan, have been a paying customer for many years...but I would love to have Illustrator and Fresco, alas, it all adds up to a lot of dollars especially from a South African Rand point of view...so my question: why can’t Fresco be included in the single app subscription for Illustrator? Why only Photoshop? You can work with vector in Fresco, so they must be designed to also work together?

I'm new to Adobe Fresco. Is the Merge Down option the same as "Group" in illustrator? I'm also not quite understanding what is a reference layer. Is this almost the same thing as uploading an image as reference? Thanks [Renamed by Mod]

Apologies if this has already been addressed elsewhere, but occasionally I get a synch error and I end up with a document that appears to be stored locally but does not exist on the cloud (I cannot see it within the Creatve Cloud App). It often has an orange exclamation mark next to it, but when you try and delete it, it says it cannot be deleted.   I've tried all kinds of combinations both within the Fresco app and Creative Cloud to remove these kinds of documents (when they are not wanted) without any success.   Does anyone know anyway of removing them (or a link to a solution?) Just started messing around with fresco and I downloaded a Kyle brushback. For some reason it imported twice so I have a repeated brush pack. I can’t figure out how to delete the repeat. Any suggestions?

Switching brushes is not easy, when you need to find a specific brush, you should allow to create folders for brushes and direct access to your favorites from the main screen. thank you [Renamed by Mod]

Hi, I know that such a problem has occurred before. Such a problem was with Nvidia cards:Surface BookSurface Book 2Surface Studio andWacom Mobile Studio Pro I have an nvidia geforce gtx 1060 3gb card. Still, I did what was recommended backgrounds of those cards. But the problem remains the same. With any change in the brush, the application crashes. Any ideas? [Renamed by Mod]

In my CC Library I have a file I downloaded called Benjamin Kohl brushes for Fresco. But I can't find a way from within Fresco to access those brushes. How do I do that? [Renamed by Mod]

When the application is running and when it is launched, an error message pops up "this application did not complete correctly" What should I do and the error often pops up and it is not possible to work? [Renamed by Mod]

I'm using latest version of Fresco on Surface pro 7 and the smudge tool almost never works. I have to restart the app several times or uninstall and install it again and then SOMETIMES it works. Sometimes though the app crashes completely when using the smudge tool. Its extremelly annoying having to do all of this to use this tool. Please explain what I can do for this problem

I lack a touchscreen device. I use a laptop and screenless pad, plus a mouse. This seems to have prevented me from zooming in and out or grabbing the entire canvas to move it around. The arrow keys do not work as a solution either. Solutions? [Renamed by Mod]
